29 and 30 for Jimon, please!
29. one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart
I mean, both of them died in canon. Sometimes, they both just lay awake all night long, holding each other and not speaking, because they both just⌠need something to anchor them to this world. And theyâre it for each other.
30. one headcanon about this OTP that mends it
Jace loves Lewis family dinners. Elaine, Rebecca and Helen happily accepted him into the family. Rebecca loves telling embarrassing stories about Simonâs childhood and Jace loves how⌠normal it all feels.
OK OK OK So I really really fell in love with your Helios x Apollo story and I've been toying with asking you about writing a small thing about Helios' reaction to Zeus banishing Apollo? And what he does about it. Or just his reaction to Zeus /trying/ to banish Apollo. A sort of fix-it-so-it-never-happens type thing. Totes get you're bogged down with stuff so if you don't have time that's totally okay. If you do decide to do it, could I get it by January 4th?
Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3 || Part 4 || Part 5 || (You are here)|| The whole thing on AO3
Helios was exhausted.
His duties were straining in on themselves, but in the past years in particular. After all, his lover was very busy with Olympian duties - mainly so related to his prophetic gifts. So Helios, being the good, caring boyfriend he was, of course took over some of his loverâs duties. Mainly the sun-related ones.
Only that his duties had been very straining and distracting lately. Especially the closer the Giant War drew. Helios hated that. He wished to stand by his loverâs side, have Apolloâs back.
Apollo had smiled sweetly at him, those mismatched eyes sparkling brightly as he had leaned up on his tip-toes to kiss Heliosâ cheek and then shove him hard.
His little sunshine was a fighter, not just a lover. Helios knew that. Of course did he know that. The only one matching him with a bow and arrow was his twin-sister Artemis. Apollo could hold himself in a fight if he had to.
That didnât mean Helios wanted him in the middle of a fight though. A war no less.
Yet this one⌠was different.
Gods loved using demigods as pawns. But this war required the gods to also fight themselves. To slay the Giants at the demigodsâ side.
Helios trusted his sunshine. He knew Apollo would be fine during the war. And now that the war was over, Helios was looking forward to embracing his lover again, just grab Apollo, take him home and live in peace for a century or two.
Maybe take some time off to spend in Alfheim? They did have this cozy little vacation home there⌠It would be nice. And Apollo surely would be happy to spend more time with his best friend Frey. That might sway Apollo.
And to be honest, that idea wasnât so spontaneous. Helios had spent the past few weeks preparing said vacation home, making it as homey as possible for his love. Apollo deserved the rest.
âHelios, my dear, old friend.â
Helios paused. He didnât turn around. That sweet voice, like poisoned honey. A scowl etched its way onto his face as he took a deep breath to turn around and give Loki Laufeyson a piece of his mind. Said piece of mind was stuck in his throat when he noticed that Loki wasnât alone.
âHel Lokisdatter. A rare pleasure, miladyâ, stated Helios, voice very soft as he bowed.
He knew to respect a king or queen when he met them, regardless what pantheon they were from. Hel offered him the smallest smile in return, a shy one. Her long hair fell into her face, covering the rotting half and only revealing the beautiful one. Her dress, long sleeves on one side, a glove that reached all the way up to her shoulder in addition to it. She half hid behind her father and Loki, as always, stood in a protective stance in front of his only daughter.
The trickster had a pleased half-smirk on his face as he regarded Helios curiously, fingers playing with his well-groomed goaty as he tilted his head. It were his eyes that had always unsettled Helios, if he was being honest. Green as poison, shimmering silver with lies and danger.
Helios stood straight, looking at the two Norse gods curiously. What were they doing in Alfheim? Loki preferred⌠Well, none really, he was always everywhere - wherever he could cause most mischief. But Hel? The queen of Helheim? Why would the Ice Queen seek the realm of the sun god? Helios could see how clearly uncomfortable the goddess was, looking a bit red-cheeked there.
âListen, this isnât a favor for you, Titanâ, stated Loki, voice unusually serious.
âA favor?â, echoed Helios surprised. âWhat do you want, lie smith?â
Helios was startled as Loki threw a golden apple at him. Helios blinked slowly, eyes wide as he stared at the holy fruit. The immortality granting fruit, guarded by the Goddess Iduna for all the gods and pantheons (though she had gardeners assisting her from all the pantheons too. The Hesperides from the Graeco-Romans, for example). Not many knew that ambrosia, the food of the gods that granted them immortality, was actually made, among other ingredients, of the golden apples.
âFather speaks the truthâ, pieped Hel up, looking displeased. âThatâs why Iâm here. I know how unreasonably unrealistic that statement is.â
âHey. A bit more respect for your old manâ, grunted Loki with a glare.
Hel gave him a deadpan look before returning her attention to Helios once more. âYour Olympians have decided to strip one of your own off his immortality. Your king couldnât make that decision without Hades knowing. After all, a god now runs the danger of being killed and dying. And, well, when I was in the park with my puppy Garm last week, we walked with Hades and Zerberus for a while and he mentioned it. And when I heard whoâŚâ
Helios didnât like where this was going. He gripped the apple tighter. Lokiâs smirk grew more knowing and wicked. Helios had the urge to throw the apple into his pretty face.
âMy dear daughter told me and I could not let it stand like thatâ, drawled Loki. âI mean, he is my best friendâs favorite brother. Hermes would be quite unbearable if something happened to precious Apollo.â
âThen why not go to Hermes?â, asked Helios, still suspicious.
âAhâ, grunted Loki with a careless shrug. âDaddy issues. You know the guy canât go up agains Zeus. You? A Titan? This could be⌠entertaining.â
Helios gritted his teeth and averted his eyes to stare at the floor. Loki and Hel remained for a long stretch of silence. He really didnât like Loki - mainly because Loki and Apollo had kind of a fling prior to Helios and Apollo getting together. Helios wasnât a fan of how much Loki enjoyed reminding him of this.
âThank you, Loki. You⌠have my grattitudeâ, grunted Helios out unwillingly. âYou too, Queen Hel.â
The self-satisfied smile on Lokiâs face made Helios really want to throw the apple. âMy, it would be a shame if something so pretty would be wasted. Just⌠take care of this, Titan.â
âI will, Eldojotunâ, replied Helios sharply, watching with satisfaction how Loki flinched.
The Aes did not like being reminded that his status as a god was an earned one and that, foremost, he was still a born Fire Giant. Loki sneered at him briefly before returning to his charming smile.
âVery well then. Come along, sweetie. Grandma invited us for tea and cakeâ, declared Loki, waving a dismissive hand in Heliosâ general direction.
âOh! Grandma Laufey makes the best cakes. Bye, Heliosâ, chimed Hel, seemingly far more motivated by that prospect.
With that, the two Norse gods disappeared. Leaving Helios with his apple.
âWâWho in the worldâŚ?â, grunted a startled teenager.
The boy, with messy black hair, stared up at Helios with surprised, sea-green eyes. Helios only spared the human one glance before turning to the one in the boyâs company. A scowl found its way onto Heliosâ face as he threw the golden apple at his boyfriend. Apollo smiled brighter than the sun as he caught it.
âOh! Wonderful. Early rescue. Just started wondering where our new little dynamic duo was going to head next to solve this little⌠problem of mineâ, chimed Apollo happily, rubbing the apple against his robes. âHuh. Those things are not handed out easily. Iduna is possessive of them. How did youâŚ?â
âA thief dropped it offâ, growled Helios and grabbed Apollo by the arm. âCome.â
ââŚI donât like it when youâre angryâ, noted Apollo dubiously. âAre you⌠angry with me?â
âNoâ, replied Helios, the growl growing darker as the sky above them clouded over. âSomeone else. Iâm glad youâre fine, my love.â His voice grew gentler at that as he cupped Apolloâs cheek and checked him for injuries before turning toward the human. âThank you, for protecting my sunshine. I am indebted to you. If any god gives you a hard time again, call for Helios and I will stand by your side.â
âA free favor from a god. Thatâs a new one. Cool.â
Apollo wrapped one arm aroung Heliosâ neck, the other hand still holding the apple as he brought it up to his rosy lips and took a large bite from it. To grand immortality, one needed a whole apple. The tiny bit that was mushed into the ambrosia was enough to keep the immortality going for the gods, but it would never be enough to restore Apolloâs godhood. Apollo yelped as Helios teleported them away.
The sky around Olympus darkened as though night had come early. Zeus frowned confused. He knew Helios was taking care of the sun - it was the main reason why he had even gotten his punishment for Apollo through.
âHow dare youâ, roared an angry, dark voice.
Zeus sat up straighter on his throne as the Sun Titan materialized in front of him, looking like a vicious, avenging angel. There were still many Titans around and the general rule of thumb was to perhaps not anger them. They were ancient and also powerful in most cases. Zeus blinked as he spotted his son behind Helios. The son Zeus had only just banished from Olympus.
âApolloâ, growled Zeus in warning.
âNoâ, hollered Helios.
âYou broke an Oath of Styx twice, siring two demigods.
You interfered and turned one of them into a tree to cheat Death himself.
You are the king and were responsible to keep things such as Tartarus secure yet you allowed for your Father to reform and nearly overthrow you.
You let a teenage boy steal your symbol of power.
You let your son Ares allign himself with Kronos during the Titan War without repercussions.
You let your wife make a fool out of you by playing with the memories of the heroes and having Romans and Greeks mingle, single-handedly throwing all of Olympus into an identity crisis that very well nearly cost you all your lives and this war.
And yet here you are, acting like you are the one, true king who does no wrong. Punishing Apollo for⌠What exactly did he do wrong? He has helped your little pawns during both wars. He has done his best to restore the Oracle after it had been lost because you had to anger Lord Hades.â
Helios had stalked up to Zeus and by now was lifting the young god up by his throat, a nasty expression on Heliosâ face as he squeezed. No amount of thundering and sparks was going to get Zeus out of the supernova-hot burning fury of a Sun Titan.
âYou will never lay a hand on Apollo again or you will find yourself right down there alongside your fatherâ, growled Helios in warning. âBelieve me, no one is pleased with you and Hera anymore. The past handful of years alone have proven what incapable rulers you have become. You allowed not one, not two, but four major wars to happen right under your nose within the last century alone. And so far, the only thing keeping from a revolution is that everyone is still licking their wounds. But so help me Chaos herself, if you ever lay hand on Apollo again, I will personally throw the first speer.â
Zeus looked positively mortified as Helios just dropped him. Still glowering, Helios went to his lover and picked Apollo up bridal-style before teleporting them to Alfheim. Apollo blinked dazed up at him as he slowly oriented himself.
âThat was⌠really fucking hotâ, grunted Apollo stunned. âMy knight in golden-shining armor.â
Grinning and batting his eyelashes playfully, Apollo pulled Helios down into a kiss. âWeâre taking a vacation. Right now.â
âNo arguments from me, babeâ, hummed Apollo pleased.
THE END
So you caught me on the right foot there. Because I just got back from seeing Thor: Ragnarok and I needed some comfort. Fics are comfort. And I found a nice way of including Hel and Loki in this too. Pleased by that. I hope this was the kind of comfort you were looking for too there? ;)
17 for Helios x Apollo ppease, lovely?
17. Who says I love you first?Â
Helios. Because Apollo is so afraid that fate will turn Helios into some kind of plant that he doesnât dare voice it. Helios knows that. Helios is the first one to say âI love youâ.
3, 9, 12?
*sobs dramatically* Sure. I just get numbers thrown at my head. @kimmyhunterâ gets a âlovely authorâ. I brought you into this author-marriage and now you love your stepmother more than me... ;___;
Dear gods, I think I need to get off the internet and get some sleep... I get overly dramatic when I lack sleep.
*clears throat awkwardly*
3. Least favorite part of writing.Â
The part where... uhm. The part where I get interrupted and canât write 24/7? There is literally no part of writing that I donât love. I literally live to write. Designing characters, plotting their relationships and backgrounds, building a world, putting the characters into that world, connecting everything, putting together the outlines for a story within that world, coming up with a coherent plot, writing it down, reading over it afterward, posting it and seeing that I could make someone happy with it. I love it all. Every aspect of it.
9. Least favorite trope to write.Â
Huh. I donât even know. Like, there are tropes that I hated prior to writing them. High school AUs. Crossovers. ABO-verse. Chaos fic. Parent switch. OC-centered next gen fics. But I think that... whatever it is, if you take it and give it your spin and fix whatever it is you disliked about it, then you can love it.
I have yet to find a trope that I really truly dislike to write. Kinks? Fuck yeah. Tropes...? Mh, not so much.
12. How do you deal with self-doubts?
Quite frankly, me posting my stories is kind of my way of dealing with my self-doubts. Iâve never believed in anything I did. Or that others might be interested in it. Or that it might be good.
And then a friend of mine who saw me write during class asked me what I was doing and I explained what fanfiction is to him and he got excited and asked me if I post it and I told him a very quick no because oh good lord why would I do that, why would anyone ever want to read this weird stuff I come up with? Nonononono.
He kept prodding and one day, in a fit of sheer insanity, I posted the story I had been working on in private there - Percy in Paradise. And... people liked it? And said nice things about it? There was just so much positivity and over the years, that only grew. You guys are amazing and every sweet review makes me smile.
You can... generally tell if Iâm having shitty real life situations by an increase of fanfiction updates from me, because when I start doubting or hating myself, I post things to see the positive reactions, to feel validated and like not everything I do sucks and is bad and shitty and that there are people out there who disagree.
My friend back then pushed me over the edge and over the years, I came to learn that regardless of my own opinion of some of the things I wrote, there will always be someone out there who will be grateful to read it and who will love it.
You could say that I deal with my self-doubt by blindly trusting the internet to catch me, I guess. When I doubt myself, I close my eyes and just fall back into the internet by posting something, trusting my amazing, sweet, kind, encouraging and adorable readers to catch me.
(Which... writing it like this sounds absolutely insane considering the amount of things I hear about people being bullied and threatened for the things they post online. Which just makes me all the more grateful for the amazing readers I have.)

jacehairondale: Jace Appreciation Weeks [Week 2]...
My favorite thing is that it says favorite outfit and heâs half naked. XD
Well. I mean. It is an outfit choice too. To forego shirts. And it does suit him so well *snickers*
Personally, I find that a highly appropriate choice of interpretation for that theme. *nods wildly*
(Also now I somehow have a scene stuck in my head where Jace stands there shirtless, one shirt in one hand and a second in the other, asking Alec âWhat should I wear?â and Alec just points at Jace âThat. That looks best.â â...Alec. Iâm not wearing a shirtâ âYes. And it really suits youâ)
Luke/Octavian/Percy for the ask thing? And then Luke/Octavian/Jason/Percy
Already did the threesome one. ;3
1. Whoâs the best gift giver? Do they go in on gifts or do itseparately?
Octavian, because he loves to spoil his boys rotten without making a big deal out of it. His boys know that heâs a big softy on the inside, hidden under thick layers of British sarcasm.
2. Sleeping arrangements: Do they push the beds together? Whotakes all of the blankets in bed? Whoâs practically draped over theothers?
Pushed together beds. Because it does get a bit tight with four. Jason is a bit of a blanket hog, Percy occasionally falls asleep square over his lovers, Luke likes spooning.
3. Who is always in the middle in triad cases?
Sometimes, Octavian, with Luke and Jason on his sides and Percy sprawled out on top of them. Other times, Percy and Jason in a tangle of limbs, with Octavian and Luke on either side.
4. How do date nights look like?
Octavian trying to cultivate his lovers. Mostly failing. Percy and Jason get distracted or rope each other into something of a competitive nature - some kind of game, or wrestling - while Luke plans a heist. Itâs frustrating, really.
5. Do any members get jealous? How do they act when they do?
Octavian is super jealous. He doesnât like Nico anywhere near Percy and Jason, which really only makes Percy and Jason want to spend more time with Nico because Tavy needs to cool down some, the idiot.
6. Who asked who out? How was the first date(s)?
Luke did the asking out of Octavian, together the two of them invited Jason into their relationship and then the three decided to add Percy. First date was a bit of a mess because everyone tried to interact with everyone and at that point, they of course didnât have a foursome-rhythm in it. They needed to find that first.
7. Who brings home stray pets and convinces the others to keepthem?
Percy does, all the time. Octavian acts annoyed until Luke shoves him, Jason finds it endearing.
8. Who are the reckless ones that make Bad Decisions? Who arethe sensible ones who follow after them to make sure they donâtdie?
Percy and Jason are good at reckless, while Luke and Octavian literally tried world domination so they do the Bad Decisions. Mainly, itâs the united force of Thalia, Annabeth, Reyna and Rachel bailing them out.
9. Whoâs the one who remembers everyoneâs favoriteorders at cafes/restaurants?
Octavian does, because he thinks that is just something that ought to be remembered. His boys find it adorable.
10. Would/do they have kids? Who are the Responsible Parents, who are the Cool Parents⢠to the polywogs?
Jason is the constantly fussing and overly worried one, Octavian the responsible and stern one, Luke the one getting too deep into trouble with the kids, meaning cool dad Percy has to bail them out before Octavian and Jason learn of it so Jason wonât have a heartattack and Octavian wonât throw a bitch-fit.
Please don't hate me? Malace or Nicercy?
*distressed whale-noises*
Why do you haaate me? ;____; What have I done to you?
But. I⌠I have to say Nicercy.
I just, I love Malace, but itâs the new, shiny thing that hit me like a train. And Iâve reached the point where I got the innitial awe out of my system. Not meaning that Iâve stopped shipping it, far from it, but Iâve currently moved on to exploring more pairings for the fandom, focusing mainly on Jalec and Jagnus, with some Velondale planned and Heronlightstar and thereâs just⌠Right now, if you made me chose to only write one pairing for this fandom, I couldnât even, because Iâm still in the middle of exploring it and there are so many ships I want to write and explore and Iâm not really done settling down in it yet, you know? If any of this makes sense?
Nicercy is the thing I always come back to. Iâm super positively surprised that I sitll come up with such a shit-ton of ideas for them and that, despite the fact that I havenât had any source-material to inspire me and havenât been insterested in reading for the fandom in _a while_, I still love writing it so much.
But Iâve never been a âsole focus on one OTP and one fandomâ kinda gal. Iâve always been the captain of my own fleet, so thankfully enough I donât have to literally chose and settle for only one. ;P
