-Gaster is having you create a vessel that seems intended to replace Kris (based on the vessel’s similar Human Child appearance and the fact it gets dunked and you get told “No, you’re gonna be Kris, fuck you”)
-Even if the dunking happens, you possess Kris and never get to speak with them
So like....... given that, why would Gaster be like “I’m so eager for you to meet Kris”?

I read it with a tone of panic. They feel the red soul controlling them, but they can't see it.

Maybe it's because ending a sentence with "for" is considered awkward in English?
I’m not sure it’s because it’s awkward.
I mean, it could be I guess, but there’s plenty of awkward translations in EC that have stood the test of time. Plus, people are constantly abbreviating song titles already to avoid saying the full thing.

Nah, The Batter's mission was his own, separate from the inhabitants. The second (Spade King's) fountain was supposed to be a bad thing that set light and dark out of balance.
right, but like, ralsei's fountain is apparently what "gives him form", right? the balance of light and dark was put off by the second fountain, which is presumably a bad thing in the long run, but there's still a chance that the dark world forms around the fountains/is given form by them.
