Strickler & Jim: Strickler and Jim had moments in Trollhunters, it's true, but I always wanted to see more of them. I wanted to see Strickler apologizing, I wanted to see Strickler saving Jim more times, I wanted to see them fighting back-to-back. I wanted them to have an honest conversation about what happened before Strickler redeemed, and finally heal the wound of the betrayal (that I think wasn't healed correctly in the canon).

Steve & Jim: Steve was Eli's friend and his relationship with him was so cute in season 3 and in 3Below, but I always wanted more interactions between Steve and Jim. Not only because of how they both have bad parents (Jim Lake Sr. and Steve's Father) but because I think they would be a great duo, especially after Steve redemption (yk, if they didn't ruin it).

Darci & Jim: Hear me out- What if Darci was the one who first found out Jim was crushing on Claire, and she acted like a matchmaker between the two of them, only for Jim to discover Darci was interested in Toby and helped her too?

Angor & Claire: Part of this is because I saw a few fanarts of them together, but I love the idea of Angor teaching her how to use magic and them developing a father-daughter dynamic. And I also love the idea of Claire comforting Angor for being controlled by Morgana.

Steve & Claire: When you think about "Trollhunters duos", Steve and Claire is probably not the first that comes to anyone's mind, but I love them. Not only because Claire seems to have problems with her parents and Steve had a bad father, but because both seem to have things in common, for example liking Papa Skull (they went together there so I'm gonna assume Steve also likes it).

Darci & Claire: Like come on, they're supposed to be best friends. Why they just had a few scenes in the canon? Why Darci didn't engage more with the Trollhunters' world since the beginning? Or why didn't they show more scenes about Darci knowing Claire was keeping a secret and Claire not knowing if she should tell her the truth? Some "friends" they were... (I know it was a writers' problem, not a Darci or Claire's problem, but still)

Strickler & Claire: I already said it once, but I love how Strickler could become Claire's father-in-law, and I love the idea of him telling her things about Morgana since he knows Morgana more than OG Trollhunters team did.

Strickler & Steve: If Steve was a changeling in canon like he was in the OG book this interaction would have been more justified, but in the show canon it could have been great too. They didn't interact, but I imagine that maybe after redeeming, Steve could blame himself for hurting Jim and/or Eli and Strickler could be the one to comfort him (let me dream okey? 😭)

Draal & Strickler: Crazy, I know, but imagine an AU where Strickler stayed in Arcadia after season 1 and he had to work with Trollhunters' team (including Draal) to bring Jim back. And imagine if Draal and Strickler bonded because Jim had every reason to despise them but decided to save them instead (in the Hero's Forge in Draal's case and from Angor in Strickler's case).

Toby & Steve: No because when Toby pretended he was Jim so Steve wouldn't discover the truth about trolls/magic existing, I really expected Toby and Steve to have more interactions. And Steve being Eli's friend is cute (and the idea of being Jim's friends is also good), but being Toby's friend would have been meaningful too.

Toby & Nomura: Now they might be a weird duo and it almost doesn't make sense since Nomura doesn't like Toby, but I always loved the idea of Toby being in danger, Nomura being the only one capable of helping him, and them growing fond of each other.

Blinky & Strickler: Don't get me wrong, I love Strickler as a parent figure, but I don't like them fighting over who gets to be Jim's better parent figure. Them having to work together and having to accept each other's morals to protect the son they both love it's a lot better. Working reluctantly at first, of course, but imagine if in the end Blinky becomes a little more like Strickler and Strickler becomes a little more like Blinky.

Blinky & Barbara: Maybe in another world where Barbara remembered the truth about Jim being the trollhunter, she could have helped Blinky and Jim's friends to being Jim back, and they could have bonded because of their love for Jim.

Nomura & Barbara: Mostly because of what happened in the Darklands, but I'm pretty sure that if Barbara found out Jim was trapped in the Darklands and Nomura helped him survive, she would be grateful to her. Besides, the idea of Barbara having a changeling friend is also nice.

Honorable mentions

Rob & Jim: I don't care if Welcome to the Darklands is canon or not, I loved Rob and Jim being allies in the Darklands and I would have given anything to make Rob survive, go with Jim to Arcadia and help his team to defeat Gunmar.

Unkar/Any Other Past Trollhunter & Jim: Not only because interacting more with them in the show could have helped Jim a lot, but because I think they honestly needed screen time in Trollhunters' show. It could have been great to see Jim talking to other Trollhunters apart from Kanjigar.

Eloise Stemhover & Jim/Toby/Claire: I stand by my point that Eloise was an interesting character and I would have loved to see her in the show interacting with Toby and/or Jim, and maybe (just maybe) redeeming.

I am obsessed with changelings, sooo any changeling you want to draw for your au art reqs :3

Or if i can be so selfindulget, more our Kodanths/other changeling interacting i dunno? I just love to see your art so much

Design WIP for Eloise Stemhower

Inspired by white cobras and iguanas.

And fun fact: that's not her hair, that's her dorsal crest!

(I shared her design moodboard on the Discord server, so people who are there probably know what things inspired her design.)

Buff Snek Lady & Lanky Snek Lady

(Ellie looks a little weird here, ignore that Dx)

:He's three feet tall.

:A HUGE nard in comics and even made some of his own.

:He lost his arm to a infernalheed.

:He very often struggles with mental health issues cause by his own flawed Polymorph abilities and many horrible life experiences.

: A goofball.

He Was a failed polymorph. He was some of Morgona's first polymorph changlings and it became apparent very quickly he wasn't suited for the surface and was discarded.

Eddie had a hard time keeping his sentients when he switches to different forms and had often forgeten that he was even a changling.

Eddie spent a most of is life alone intill he meet a group of outcast changlings like him that gunmar thought were failures and throw away to die in the wilds of the darklands. They become good friends together and became the unwanted spies.

OH, also the albino changling is Eloise Stemhower :)

They made a plan to rescue themselves and their familiars from the darklands so the unwanted could have no ties to their past and that the babies weren't eaten or used as leverage. The group placed Eddie and Eloise to be a spies in gunmar's army to get a layout of the gunmar's fortress and find a way to get to the surface.

They managed to get most of the familiars and themselves out of the darklands by a stolen fetch besides one of the babies and Eddie himself. Eddie tried to get Eloise's familiar but failed and got caught and his friends unwillingly had to to leave him behind. Once Gunmar got a hold of him, he throw Eddie in one of his firecat pits. Eddie lost his arm to one of the infernalheeds and to save himself from being eaten alive, turned into one of them and he stayed this way in gunmar's horde for many years.

Eddie was able to regain his sentence and switch back and as he was escaping, Eddie sensed something trailing after him. At first Eddie thought it as a young fire cat that escaped but relising it didn't looked like the other cats but a ball of flame. When he started to have a horrible suspension of its odd appearance but the alarms went off and he made a break for it.

After he was far enough to be sure he wasn't being followed, he returned to his old hideout Eddie and his friends were living in before they're escape. But he was followed. The little odd hybrid had followed him and Eddie had to confront the fact that this fireball was more likely his.

(Eddie was having a triple layered crisis dealing with being abandoned by his friends, his messed up powers, he probably won't see the gunrobot movies or the surface, and trying to deny the hybrid's existence as said hybrid was playing with his tall without care in this hell of a world.)

Eddie wasn't going to try taking the kid back to the horde, were he would be recaptured and be put to death or worse. Eddie at first, thought of just ditching him in the darklands but his conscious got the better of him and he decided to give his son the chance at survival by raising him and when he's ready let him go in the darklands.

He had complex feelings with Rob. On one hand, Rob was a reminder of how his hell of a life and how Rob was even here to begin with... which Eddie didn't know how and definitely didn't want to think about... but on the other hand the kid didn't ask to be born and had no hand in his father's suffering.

because of what happened in the infernalheed pit... and worry that he may not be able to switch back to himself if he change form, he swore to stay in his original body and to never change his shape again.

As time went on Eddie started to form his own identity and shared some of the things he injoyed that gave him comfort and hoped his son would find in to. He decided to name his son after his favorite comic character. Gunrobot.

Rob, especially when he was little, acted more like a fire cat than a young changling, but that didn't stop Eddie from learning to love his odd son and being the best parent he can be and regardless of the hell they live in.

Teaching his son how to read was a lot easier than he thought. Though it was mostly Rob mimicking what his father said, he was a quick learner. Eddie would also taught Rob how to survive by playing games like Hide in seek, tag, and rolplaying. Rob loved rolplaying and Eddie would use the plot of his favorite stories as survival scenarios.

Although Rob is far from a normal child and Eddie far from a sane changling, rob gave Eddie a reason to live and hope. They made each other feel like they were somewhat of a normal family at times.

My first fan animation! “This is me” from “The Greatest Showman”  too well suited changeling. Unfortunately, my strength has a limit. Of course it's not perfect, but it exists!

a) terrible, cranky old book-loving bastards who claim to write historical records, are smaller than the rest of their kind, and are neutral evil at best, who 

b) end up having Tension with spry, adventurous, quick-thinking younger folks who also love books and spend a lot of time in libraries, and 

c) have an age gap on the order of centuries

Kodanth feels that he is dying and is ready to make his last, dying farewell speech. And he does it because he is no less dramatic than a dramatic avocado.

However, changelings are not going to let their master disappear so easily ;D
