Itās so funny to see people trying to push that idea that people who hated Steve ending are shippers and they have in mind (St*cky). Iām sorry to ruin your postulate but I donāt ship it. I donāt really mind canon ships even if I hate some of them but I made my peace with them because itās easier to enjoy the movies that way but the moment a ship is making an entire plot of a movie stupid, Iām sorry but itās not us, who are questioning the logic of it that are working with shipping goggles here but you.Ā
I have to say it again and again, I love this movie but that end made it stupid. If when you got out of it and you are more troubled by that end than anything else and you need the directors and screenwriters to explain to you the logic behind the whole thing, it means you didnāt do a good job to begin with.Ā
My suspension of disbelief was fine until that last scene, Iām not the only one who think like that, I went with casual fans and we all loved the movie but that last scene completely fucked with our minds.
The theory of different timelines, with Steve creating another timeline is fucked up too because what about the Steve still in the ice? He donāt get to have an happy ending too then? And how old!Steve is even able to go in his previous timeline since he is in another one, he created, the Pym particles are also an alternate universe device?Ā
The theory of him staying in the right timeline and how he was Peggyās husband from the start is not even better.Ā That happy ending for him is questionable as fuck, he should have had that dance, his kiss and then go back BUT a lifetime COME ON! So yeah, I get when people are saying, he was hiding when his friends was being brainwashed and Tonyās parents got murdered, Hydra was infiltrating Shield easily...that whole thing is not good for his characterization. And it canāt even be right since her husband was someone else, so yeah, if he did change the actual timeline by being with her, then he did erase her entire life...not good.
I understand Tonyās death because no matter what, he could never not be Iron Man when the planet is in danger, itās not in his nature, it almost cost him Pepper once, and now with mini Morgan, that couldnāt happen. We couldnāt have him still live a peaceful life far from any fight in this planet because he wanted Pepper, Morgan, Rhodey, Happy and everyone he cared for safe. I thought the same thing about Steve but I guess I was wrong.Ā
Natashaās end made me cry so much because I actually put her and Clint as possible death it was really between them and I really hope it wouldnāt be her. They should have gave us all her scenes, and when I say that, itās because we might have understood more her state of mind if we got her scene when she shooting in the range and when sheās literally miserable outside while itās raining from the trailer. What happen to her was pure suicide, and they try to make us believe itās for the Greater Good only, but we didnāt see how the Snap completely broke her, we see that it did something to her, but I feel because itās Disney we didnāt get to see how it affected her mind. We saw Clintās grief and how he coped, we saw Nat being the new Nick Fury, I really wanted to see more of her in that time and now especially because of her death.Ā
All of it to say, I resent that idea of my inability to eat that weird canon shit of Steveās ending is a shipping matter. How to dismiss valid questions just because people donāt share your opinions. Just block us and talk only with people who agree with your thoughts.Ā
