My parents did so in the 1960s, albeit via Anglesey and Nottinghamshire, and, by implication, so did I. From one side of the lake to the other.
So misty in Shropshire today. I stumbled on the cemetery in Ellesmere, mistook it for a church and got out to have a look. Lots of lovely, old monuments. It backs onto a lake full of coots, geese and swans.
