“You can love someone so much… But you can never love people as much as you can miss them.”
Biography:
Eliavres has been greatly gifted with magic since the day he was born. The sorcerer had been a knight under King Caradoc through the nobility of his family, though he could not care less. Being a knight was almost like a hobby to pass by time until he learned to perfect his magic. But being a knight proved the be the best thing that happened to him when the King wedded Ysave. She claimed Eliavres’s heart the moment he laid eyes on her. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and as he got to know her, he realised that she was also the kindest. She had this taste for life he never knew any one could have. Eliavres spent every moment he could alone with his new queen. Because the king was so busy those moments became more frequent. Eventually, Ysave came to love the sorcerer as much as he love her. Ysave yearned to consummate their love but feared the king would miss her absence in their bed. Wanting to protect his love, Eliavres came up with a way to trick the king. Using his magic the sorcerer disguised animals to look like the queen to sleep with King Caradoc, and he was none the wiser.
When Ysave told him the new of her pregnancy he thanked god for the first time in his life. Though his happiness was short lived when said Ysave did not want to run away to be a family together. Heartbroken, Eliavres kept his distance until he altogether disappeared. When news of Ysave being ill reached Eliavres he raced to be by her side. She told him that she regretted her her decision of not running away with him. Believing that is was not too late, Eliavres travelled to Camelot to retrieve their son so that they may live out the rest of Ysave’s days as a family. To save himself the time and trouble of finding a kidnapping his son the sorcerer decided to challenge his son, Caradoc named after that dolt of a king, to a beheading game. Instead of taking Caradoc’s head Eliavres told the knight the truth of his parentage. The sorcerer implored Caradoc to leave with him. Eliavres gave Caradoc a few days to make his decision. Eliavres would have never thought that Caradoc would use the time to plan an attack against him. In a moment of panic Eliavres placed a cursed snake on his son’s arm. Before escaping, he told Caradoc that if he wanted to take off the snake he would meet him and Ysave at fortress. When Eliavres reached Ysave she was barely alive and that night she died in his arms.
Eliavres stayed at his fortress for a fortnight hoping that the last of his family, the last of Ysave, would come and join him. But Caradoc never showed. Eliavres heard news of what had happened to Caradoc and how he took the snake off. An overwhelming feeling of remorse over how he treated his son overwhelmed Eliavres. Selling his land the sorcerer moved Camelot to watch over his son from afar secretly keeping him safe.
