Oooo! What an interesting question! Is this assuming there's no Shepard? I'm gonna go with no Shepard because really Shepard can be anyone.
Kaidan Alenko was my immediate gut instinct (I know, I can hear your surprised gasps from here). He's a really good foil to Ashley and I can see that relationship really working and blooming into something pretty special and long lasting (assuming we can make it to where they aren't constantly breaking regs)
But the more I sit here and thing about it, my heart leads me to another. I still would probably put them together though.
Hear me out on this...Miranda Lawson.
Miri wouldn't take Ash's BS and Ash wouldn't take hers either. They both want so badly to be out from under the legacies their fathers left them. There is the whole Cerberus detail, but Miri does eventually leave them. Yeah... Yeah I like this.

Ash and Jack would be fun, too. But Kaidan/Ashley or Miranda/Ashley, leaning more towards Miranda/Ashley.
