Argylen - Argyle x Eden Bingham

They're just a joke, a funny joke but that's it. Their pairing is unusual so they at least have that going for them but Argyle is my man and I don't want to share him.

Chances of staying canon: Probably just a road trip crush but I could see The Duffers' vapid romance writing making them canon forever.

Level of enjoyment: 0%

Boyce - Joyce Byers x Bob Newby

Literally the best ship for Joyce so far and one that did ignore her personal issues as a woman and a person for the man in the relationship. They had a much more developed relationship in the few amount of screen time they had together but what was given to us was enough to provide how healthy and good their relationship was, there was also a respect of boundaries that was nice to see from the both of them. Bob also added a taste of joy in the Byers' house and family dynamic that was very much needed, especially with the boys who had gone through too much in their lives by that point. It's a shame that Bob had to die for a plot that did provide anything for Joyce as a character, nor for the boys as well.

Chances of staying canon: Forever in our hearts.

Level of enjoyment: 100%, purely for how good it was for The Byers but probably more around 85 to 90%. They're not my ride or die but I enjoy them! BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SUCK! 🧛‍♂️

Cunnington - Chrissy Cunningham and Steve Harrington

Just a more boring version of Stancy & TigerCheer. Chrissy perhaps might have been more open to Steve compared to the self-centered Jason Carver but I struggle to see a relationship like theirs continue for years or even past a school year. And that's me being generous. 😏

Chances of becoming canon: HA!

Level of enjoyment: I have none.

Duzie - Dustin Henderson x Suzie Bingham

DUSTY-BUN! If you don't love them right there, then, now and at that moment than you my friend doesn't deserve to be shipping anything. They're cute & funny and I love that we get a "nerdy" couple representation on the show as they deserve to have their stories told as well and honestly, I could see them see being endgame and I wouldn't be mad at it. NeverEnding Story is still one of the funniest moment of the show and I like that Dustin was vindicated for the fact that he had a real girlfriend. Get' em again Cerebro! I wish them well and only happiness.

Chances of staying canon: A strong 80% for me but I could see The Duffers not really expanding more on that relationship as we have bigger things to worry about + Dustin is not going to be so well in Season 5 so 🤞!

Level of enjoyment: 85 to 90%, just like Boyce, not my ride or die but I like them!

Hellcheer - Eddie Munson x Chrissy Cunningham

Cool ship name, I'll give it that but outside of that I find them boring. Their scenes in the woods felt so corny to me & it's a case of the Duffers trying to make us care about characters or a relationship via the thing they're supposedly should be criticizing, heteronormativity. They're just so bland to me.

Chances of being (?) canon: Death has done us part. ☠

Level of enjoyment: I actually prefer hell itself over that pairing.

Henfield - Dustin Henderson x Max Mayfield

Well, this ship is kinda settled right now sadly. As friends, they have a funny dynamic as Dustin most of the time can't see past Max's sarcasm who finds Dustin funny but also reliable, as in Season 4, Dustin is the one she goes to when she realises UD activity has started again. I'm not sure they would have been a thing for long if they got together but they at least have a good friendship.

Level of enjoyment: 60%

Henderhop - Dustin Henderson x El Hopper

Now this ship is so cute, because they are to me, quite a good pairing in the sense that they are both detectives. El can't stop herself from finding out if something bad is happening somewhere and Dustin wants to walk through every curiosity door possible. Dustin has also always been very nice to El and put her qualities forward rather than putting her through the ringer because she wants to find herself.

I feel like if they were a thing, they would work quite well together actually. The only thing that goes against it is that El isn't really into what Dustin enjoys sooooooo that would put a bit of a block in their relationship.

Chances of becoming canon: None.

Creelby - Henry Creel x Patty Newby

I know nothing about this relationship/pairing, nor about Patty Newby's character to be making conclusion about what I think about this relationship.

Nor do I do really care because I really don't like Henry Creel as a character sooooooo... But I guess even the worst of us deserves love.

Chances of being (?) canon: "Don't know, don't care."

Level of enjoyment: Probably none.

Hopclair - El Hopper x Lucas Sinclair

Nah, I don't see it. They work better platonically for me and I really don't see anything in their dynamic apart from their mutual care for Max that brings anything about the two of them together as a pairing. Plus the series ever since Season 1 and a bit of 2 hasn't done really anything about their relationship.

Chances of becoming canon: 0%

Level of enjoyment: 20%

Jancy - Jonathan Byers x Nancy Wheeler

I've never liked that ship because first, it was made because of Murray and two, it ruined a better frienship than anything. It felt forced and unnecessary and went more in favour of Nancy's character than Jonathan, especially when the narrative has made an effort to sideline the Byers so heavily for two seasons now. Jonathan has just been stuck on auto pilot about his character with her so I hope they don't stay together eventually and part ways towards different things. Plus, yes he apologised but the photo fiasco just remains troubling for me and it just falls onto bad tropes where men can do bad things to women or not act right by them and still get the girl; and I HATE that trope.

Level of enjoyment: 0%

Chances of staying canon: 50% because I can see the Duffers just forcing that pairing to remain for some dumb reasoning like what they lived must make them connected romantically together and I hate that.

Jomantha - Samantha x Jonathan Byers

Well, maybe it could've been better than Jancy. But there's nothing really to go from whatever this could've been given they only have one scene together.

Chances of becoming canon: Maybe in another universe.

Level of enjoyment: Nothing much really.

Jopper - Joyce Byers x Jim Hopper

This ship annoys me, not necessarily because of the pairing but the way it's been done. Just like with Jancy, the ship moves and is in favor for only one of the two and in this case, it's Jim. Joyce's as a character gets completely put to the side because of this ship & becomes a parody of herself. They also had that horrendous dynamic in S3 that's reinforced by Murray which I'm sorry, I still believe his interpretation of romance is off just like some of his detective skills. Those problems are only resolved for Hopper, Joyce's feelings about the relationship and it's issue have not been resolved in any way shape or form and just accept the bad tropes of men being awful to women and still getting them because that's what is expected + it's also what they are secretly into which is just a horrible trope to put forward in the times we are living right now. There isn't a chance it's not going to be canon but I can hope that somehow they have a better ending than the development + start they had.

Chances of staying canon: Probably a 100%.

Level of enjoyment: Not a lot, something just annoys me about the execution of that ship.

Kaleddie - Kali Prasad x Eddie Munson

It feels like people ship these two together on the most basic things, outcasts with a dark look, not realising that Kali is on the punk side of things and Eddie is a metalhead. They're loosely connected, Eddie might have a crush and think she's cool but Kali would not pay any mind.

Chances of becoming canon: Well none since one is dead.

Level of enjoyment: None in the world.

Lumax - Lucas Sinclair x Max Mayfield

They are, with Boyce, definitely one of the better ships that are present in ST. However, they still have their flaws for me and suffer from the same problem that Jancy and Jopper where one member of the ship is more focused on than the other and in this case, it's Max. Her issues, her other relationships, her wants & needs are at the center of this ship which is why it was refreshing to see Lucas vocalizing his own needs back in Season 4 and actually made them known to Max instead of just orbiting around her character. Lucas is much more present in that relationship at that point compared to Season 2 & 3 but still, what Billy did to him with possible justifications such as racism never being brought up at all because it would put clear difficulties in the ship annoys me especially when Max takes such a big place in that relationship & Lucas is there for her when her "brother" literally physically assaulted him. While I do think, there' a strong affection in there, it is a teenage crush and I don't see it lasting for life. They do have a more mature & "natural" dynamic + chemistry compared to other ships so they win on that aspect.

Chances of staying canon: 60 to 70%. The Duffers' vapid writing will probably make them canon forever but it makes the most sense to me for it to be that way.

Level of enjoyment: I'd stay a strong 55% which is good

Madwheeler - Max Mayfield x Mike Wheeler

This is like actually one of the most impossible ships to ever exist in Stranger Things. There's absolutely no chance this will ever be a thing. And they just would clash constantly so it's a nope. X) I enjoy Max being an annoying presence for Mike as it's what he deserves for being an ass most of the time.

Chances of becoming canon: Max hates Mike's basement, I think that says it all.

Level of enjoyment: Oh I enjoy these frenemies thoroughly because Mike needs someone to knock him down his high shelf from time to time.

Mate - Max Mayfield x Nate Walker

This is apparently a character from the Runaway Max novel, I don't remember reading it and honestly, at that point, the novels are not canon or at least not enough for me to have any sort of interest about what they may develop because whatever interesting thing they develop in the novels will not be present in Stranger Things. Sooooooo...

Chances of being (?) canon: Non-canon.

Level of enjoyment: No interest.

Mileven - Mike Wheeler x El Hopper

I don't think it's going to be a surprise for anyone but no I don't like this ship. I think it's annoying and taking us too much time for what should be given to more interesting things about other characters and relationships. It's a forced relationship that just doesn't work and isn't interesting for any character involved, it has the same problem as Jancy, Jopper & Lumax where one character gets more development in it at the cost of another, here it's El who is lost in a cycle of Mike constantly lying, hiding what he really thinks & feels plus who he really is. We've been on that for four seasons with two seasons exploring only that for their relationships. Season 4 was just the worst of the worst with the most unbelievably annoying conclusion to their issues which doesn't even work with El's previous "developments". I can guarantee you that we're also going to get something similar in Season 5 and we'll have to wait until Episode 8 to have that resolved. It's so badly written that I think the Duffers have probably written themselves in a corner with it. I just don't care about it, it's bad and annoying.

Chances of staying canon: 50%. I don't even trust the Duffers to give these two a satisfying falling out if they wanted to break them up.

Level of enjoyment: A literal 0.

Nangyle - Nancy Wheeler x Argyle

What in the world ?! Leave my man alone, he's mine! And we want Nancy SINGLE! And why would he betray his best friend like that ? Gosh, people!

Chances of becoming canon: F***ing 0!

Level of enjoyment: I hate this.

Stali - Steve Harrington x Kali Prasad

I guess I will literally find anything... 😅 Well, I really don't see it being possible without severely altering Kali's personality who would just not care for Steve. It would literally be the most surprising thing ever if somehow, if she is even in Season 5 at all, that they even have one second together at all.

Chances of becoming canon: A void.

TigerCheer - Chrissy Cunningham x Jason Carver

Season 4 has shown us that this relationship is just pure forced conformity. Chrissy did not speak to Jason about her issues because she felt like he wouldn't understand and Jason's supposed love for her turned out to be simply what was expected of him to do and a mere obsession used as an excuse to go and kill people.

Chances of staying canon: Dead before they even hit the grave.

Level of enjoyment: Don't care.

Tomkins - Tommy Hagan x Carol Perkins

I hope they stay together forever and progressively become disgusted by each other, they become ugly, alcoholics, you know the hobo assholes type of shit, have way too much kids to handle, who will hate them & never come see them, Tommy gets cancer or a very painful disease and Carol either dies alone or by suicide. And then, they'll burn in hell forever.

You know what, I'm going to put my delusional and dumbass cap on. I ship this and I think it would be very interesting as a pairing. It would probably bring unique aspects out of each other such as Billy's very serious life situation would clash with Argyle's very laid back "approach" to it and I have a feeling the angst would be through the roof so you know what, yes, give it to me.

Chances of becoming canon: In my mind, they're surfing together.

Bychance - Will Byers x Chance

Seriously ?! Because he looks like Mike Wheeler if he was a jock, he's instantly shipped with Will ? Will probably doesn't know he exists.

Chances of becoming canon: My brain is starting to fry now.

Level of enjoyment: Sure he's cute but I just don't get where things like this come from sometimes when the guy would probably bully Will as a hobby.

Byclair - Will Byers x Lucas Sinclair

I know this ship is popular and I enjoy it very much myself but honestly when you look at Will's demeanor towards Lucas and Dustin, it's very different to the one he has for Mike. They have nothing that goes against them though, Lucas has shown care & attention for Will throughout the show and even a form of protection plus Will has been quite vocal about wanting to spend time with him (with his other friends as well but still it's a thing to remember) and hasn't really fallen into the discriminative part of his perception about Lucas compared to other characters, don't know if that's the right way to explain it but still that's important. As a concept, it is lore interesting than Byler that's for sure since Lucas has added layers that in the hands of more competent writers could have probably been an interesting tale on a queer interracial couple in the 80s but the execution of in in ST hasn't given us more elements to root for it compared to Byler.

Chances of becoming canon: None really but perhaps in another timeline this would have worked well.

Level of enjoyment: 65% I would say.

Byerson - Will Byers x Dustin Henderson

Much like Byclair, pairing is interesting but there's really nothing to root for it more compared to Byler. I would say as a concept, it is cute especially since I think Dustin is quite good boyfriend material but not as interesting as Byclair and Byler which have layers that offer interesting commentary about those type of relationships, especially when they're set in the 80s. Byerson is cute and again they have nothing going against them but that's it for the most part.

Chances of becoming canon: In another universe, they would have worked pretty well.

Byler - Will Byers x Mike Wheeler

I've talked about it here and here but I really don't care if it becomes canon anymore because it's execution is not good for me, has fallen flat and I don't like it if it ends up being treated as a twist because I think it has become a cheap way to do it and avoiding the more difficult developments of what this ship could do. Like many other things in ST.

They have a mythology, they have the material, the pairing, the concept and even at times the writing but is it enough to be satisfying ? I don't think so anymore.

Chances of becoming canon: 30%, sorry I don't trust the Duffers with it.

Level of enjoyment: I used to love it but Season 4 has made this pairing unappealing for me, it's execution in particular.

Byergrove - Jonathan Byers x Billy Hargrove

So we want Jonathan to date a guy that's like his dad but with the name of his brother ? Well, no, I don't see anything. Apart from possibly them building a nice friendship shared over their own traumatic experiences and having an interesting dynamic in the sense that their personality are quite different and bringing out something new and different about each other, I don't see anything else.

Chances of becoming canon: Well...

Level of enjoyment: If a friendship could have formed somewhere, I think I would have enjoyed it but as a romance, I feel nothing.

Cargrove - Billy Hargrove x Jason Carver

This might surprise people but I don't think they would work well together + Jason would just get eaten (not literally) by Billy every single day. Their egos would just clash constantly. He was scared of Steve Harrington, he wouldn't last minutes with Billy Hargrove. The only thing they have in common is that they die a gruesome death and that their bellies are going to need some serious surgery.

Clauman - Scott Clarke x Murray Bauman

Let's keep Mr. Clarke away from the perversion that is Murray Bauman, please. This is like Henwill but less worse.

I actually don't think that Jonathan would like Eddie for some reason. Yes, Eddie is a freak, he's an outcast but he is also kinda a little bit of a tyrant/rude with his friends sometimes and I'm not sure Jonathan would enjoy that given relationship with his dad who was very much like that. Plus *drugs* which is bad for Jonathan, I don't want him near that. Maybe he could bond with him over certain things but I really don't see him getting along well with Eddie.

Chances of becoming canon: Perhaps they met once during some creepy night walks.

Edgyle - Argyle x Eddie Munson

Well, they'd probably be pot buddies but I don't really see anything that could make them work romantically beyond that. Probably funny as a pairing and they'd get along well but that's it.

Harringrove - Steve Harrington x Billy Hargrove

Oh boy... For the newer fans of ST who might not have been there for it's beginnings, those that were there will understand the first two words I used because this pairing was once probably the most popular ship in ST. Now Byler has taken the cake for that probably but it was the original Steddie before Steddie was a thing. This ship is more about the fantasy of seeing two hot guys going at it rough & raw by a very specific female audiance which is fine but this was never going to be a real thing.

Chances of becoming canon: Welp... One is seven feet under sooooooo...

Level of enjoyment: I would like to be stuck between the two of them but that's it.

Henclair - Dustin Henderson x Lucas Sinclair

Well, the most platonic relationship after Madwheeler is here. They're extremely endearing & funny together but truly don't get anything romantic between the two of them and they're just better as buddies for me. I would argue that they actually make for a lot of the Party's dynamics and strength but we will elaborate on that further down.

Chances of becoming canon: A literal zero but 100% as a frienship.

Level of enjoyment: I love them as friend truly.

Henwill - Henry Creel x Will

I want the person who created this ship to suffer for the rest of the eternity and his children + children's children to be cursed everywhere they go and whatever they do. I want this person to go below Hell and be trapped in an endless void of suffering for the rest of eternity. I want the person who created this ship in his mind in that one millisecond which infected all others who like this ship to be miserable in every second of their lives. This breaks every rule of the Geneva conventions, not even Pol Pot would be this evil.

Jargyle - Jonathan Byers x Argyle

Does Jonathan leaving Nancy for his purple palm tree delight buddy would have been better ? I'm not sure but they were quite a unique combo in Season 4. It was nice seeing Jonathan having a friend but did it bring anything at all to his character in the end ? Not much really.

Chances of becoming canon: Zero and Jonathan is too much stuck in the best ally case to be queer now.

Level of enjoyment: 40% for the enjoyable fact that Jonathan had a friend.

Jilexei - Alexei x Jim Hopper

The domestic abuse threat here would be far too risky for me to even assume they could be a pairing so I'm just going to pass on that one.

They seemed to be fine with each other but sorry, they seem too straight for me to entertain any possibility of such romance. Plus a girl's between the two of them anyway.

And here we gooooooo... Just like Harringrove, it's pretty clear why these two are shipped together, a few quirky scenes and maybe one meaningful look and everyone want to see it raw & rough but no no... I really don't see anything that could bring them together like that.

I put them together because they're just kind of the same ship in the end and they would all go Gone Boy on Tommy Hagan at some point and dump him while he's left rotting on the streets.

Wheelclair - Mike Wheeler x Lucas Sinclair

Mike and Lucas are an interesting pairing, they've been developed as very close friends but they sometimes can be each other's worst ennemies. To me it's all platonic but I find their friendship to be very relatable. They live close to each other so they probably spent a lot more time together than with the rest of the party and apparently have so since they were very young, so there's almost a brothers like dynamic between the two of them when you see them interact. Very interesting pairing but no that's platonic.

Chances of becoming canon: None but they were the straightest bros of the Party for a while if that counts.

Level of enjoyment: The Menaces of ST3, they can either be the best or worst thing together.

Wheelerson - Mike Wheeler x Dustin Henderson

This one is peculiar because again very platonic for me but Dustin represent the side of himself that Mike is trying to desperately suppress for his entourage that isn't the original party. It's been shown that when Mike hangs out with Dustin, the best aspects about himself comes out and I think that's very telling. He might be very close with Lucas but it's with Dustin that he reveals himself.

Chances of becoming canon: None but again fascinating relationship.

Level of enjoyment: I enjoy it and I'm intrigued to see how their relationship evolves in Season 5.

Well, sadly given Nancy's track record in her relationships, this would feel just as one-sided as Stancy and Jancy are. I sadly don't see it lasting for long if it ever could have been a thing anyway. Maybe they'd have cute polaroids at least as a souvenir.

Chances of becoming canon: Well, the trauma has become canon that's for sure.

Level of enjoyment: Nothing much really but let's hope the truth about Barb is revealed in Season 5, her & her parents deserves that at least.

Buckingham - Robin Buckley x Chrissy Cunningham

This feels like Rockie but with a touch of darkness in it, I prefer this pairing over the one she has with Eddie and perhaps it would have actually brought a reason for us to care about Chrissy since she is disconnected from our main group and is clearly dangled in front of us as a supernatural victim from the get go and only very competent writers can make us care care about a character who is obviously going to die. Sadly, there's nothing from Chrissy that really gives me any hint about what she's like in a relationship. But I can get behind an uptown girl being into a backstreet girl.

Chances of becoming canon: You could've been the more interesting Rockie but alas...

Chrickie - Chrissy Cunningham x Vickie

This feels like selfcest again. Honestly, this would just be a very boring pairing, Chrissy came and went & Vickie is just there so yeah, I don't really care about it.

Dotmick - Dottie x Mick + Dottalie - Dottie x Kali Prasad + Mili - Kali Prasad x Mick

Honestly we don't have enough about these characters nor their pairings for me to say anything about it but I wish them all well.

Elmax - El Hopper x Max Mayfield

Elmax, Elmax, Elmax. The ship that is very interesting but where I have no idea if the clues are intentional and if they will amount to anything, outside of their evolving relationship, the coding of these two has been quite present more than characters like Robin for example and even connects to characters like Barbara. I like the idea but the concept lacks something for me, their relationship was the heart of Stranger Things 4, literally but where will they take us with it ? Is their any sort of realisation about their relationship ? What it could mean ? I struggle, I struggle. But something has to come off of it at least. Though if they decide to go insane and have only canon queer ships at the end, half of the GA will not recover.

Elzie - El Hopper x Suzie Bingham

It would've been very funny if "Who's the best girlfriend ?" pairing dumped their boyfriends for themselves. And you know what it might be a female Henderhop but I still enjoy the concept. Level of enjoyment: I enjoy the concept but sadly we don't have enough stuff about what they might think about each other to see what it could become but I enjoy it.

Huckley - Barbara Holland x Robin Buckley

I do think these two bumped into each other Hawkins Middle School Book Club but Robin thought Barbara was too much of a stuck up and Barb thought Robin was annoyingly loud. If these two had even a semblance of a situationship, we wouldn't have needed 4 gates to destroy Hawkins, the seismic force from that relationship would have been enough. Again concept is cute but it's one of those relationships that I just don't see to be long & lasting.

Joyren - Joyce Byers x Karen Wheeler

The secret Byler pairing, the one that never was, the one that should've been. Jokes aside, could this work ? I do not know. Joyce & Karen just seems a bit too opposite in their way of parenting & wants but both also have a form of drive that animates them that I think would just make them clash in everyday life.

Chances of becoming canon: That's way too powerful so likely not lots of chances on their part.

Level of enjoyment: Not sure what I think of it but I see the power.

Kalinance - Kali Prasad x Nancy Wheeler

Oh my god, they would just not vibe but also vibe! I feel like the thing that Kali would appreciate Nancy is her unstoppable need to spread the truth and what was done to the underdogs but outside of that they would just come from too different worlds that I just don't think in the long run would work.

I actually kinda like it, I think Robin would have the fattest crush on Kali & would be very intimidated by her. Kali on the other hand would appreciate Robin's awkwardness openly so yeah, I kinda think this would be a banger.

Honestly, I really don't care for it, it's boring and it feels forced. Vickie just doesn't seem like she fits Robin for some reason, there's a crucial lack of chemistry for me. It feels like it was just there to parallel other ships (you know which one I'm thinking about) just for the sake of it rather than actually developing it fully.

Chances of becoming canon: Likely 100% because Duffers' vapid romance writing.

Ronance - Nancy Wheeler x Robin Buckley

This ship is quite popular even among some of my mutuals so I'm trying to be nice here buuuuuuut... I don't see it romantically speaking, platonically, yes, absolutely because they have a superb dynamic and were one of the highlights of Season 4 but I don't see it romantically speaking. Here, that was a nice way to put it isn't it ?!

Level of enjoyment: I enjoy Robin pushing Nancy's boundaries because Wheelers deserve their boundaries to be pushed.

This relationship is sweet, it's nice seeing Nancy coming out of her shell and being more open with people like Dustin instead of just ignoring them or downright looking down on them. Dustin has always seemed to be quite impacted by Nancy as a person so it quite enjoyable to see them being able to connect now.

Level of enjoyment: It's nice, I like it.

Eddustin - Eddie Munson and Dustin Henderson

I guess it's nice to see Dustin feeling a form of validation and inspiration in someone older than him that shares his interests & hobbies but I feel and this is where Season 5 comes in, he might have taken certain of his values and ways of thinking that aren't very clever or right for that matter. But we'll see.

Level of enjoyment: It's enjoyable.

Elington - Eleven and Steve Harrington

Level of enjoyment: This was actually a serious question.

Fruity Four, Fruity Five, Spicy Six and all it's variations. (It's the same goddamn thing just with one of two character added for the variations) - Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, Eddie Munson, Jonathan Byers, Argyle.

The teens to young adults of Season 4, I put them all together because it's just the same thing with one or two people added. These frienships are hits or miss and the characters vary in quality so not my favorite group.

Harringfield - Steve Harrington and Max Mayfield

It's a shame we didn't get any sort of interaction between the two of them because outside of their obvious similarities, it would've been nice for Will to experience a fiery girl that isn't his mother. He is too boy centered, he needs some powerful feminine energy to put him in his place.

I actually don't remember much of their interaction back in Season 4, must not have been that interesting if that's the case, the only thing I remember is him yelling at Mike at some point. I wouldn't call what they had a friendship.

The Outcasts - Axel, Dottie, Funshine, Mick and Kali Prasad

I will admit that they were a bit cringe when they were presented to us and in some moments during the episode but overall, they make for a pretty interesting addition to the series.

Level of enjoyment: I like them.

The Party - Eleven, Max Mayfield, Lucas Sinclair, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, and Mike Wheeler

The heart of the show, of course. They are that sweet memory of that group friend you had that you thought was eternal and was unstoppable. Sadly for some of us, it didn't end up like that. I would say though that the characters that truly make the party for me are Dustin & Lucas. They have a very specific energy that moves through the group and brings so many relationship together & they are one of those people that just sometimes unify people together whether they realise it or not.

Level of enjoyment: It's the best honestly.

Party Mom - Steve Harrington, Eleven, Max Mayfield, Lucas Sinclair, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, and Mike Wheeler

What in the hell ?

Level of enjoyment: I don't undertand this one. Is it about Steve because I thought we got rid of the "mom" thing at this point.

Robeddie - Robin Buckley and Eddie Munson

Honestly, I wish we got more of their dynamic, they seemed to have quite a fun relationship amisd all the chaos. Robin, although creeped out at first, seemed to genuinely want to make it clear she was willing to help Eddie and he protected her multiple times during Season 4. Plus they always had funny little interactions that was happening around them or with other people sooooooo... I wish we had gotten more.

Level of enjoyment: I enjoy that pairing.

Scoops Troop - Erica Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, Robin Buckley, and Steve Harrington

This is the group that solves the problem and creates the problem at the same time. Honestly, they were one of if not the highlights of Season 3. I love the chaos they brought into the show and I hope for a reunion at some point in Season 5.

Level of enjoyment: I love them your honor.

Stobin - Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley

Unexpected highlight of the show, one of the best way to show Steve's transformation as a character is him hanging out with a queer character, being supportive of her and being open about it. It's also nice having Robin being able to talk about her issues with someone in an era where said issues would've been hidden and buried all the time for the most part.

Level of enjoyment: I like them.

Stustin - Steve Harrington and Dustin Henderson

Who doesn't love Steve and Dustin together ? They're very different personalities provide a nice contrast and make their relationship work because their strength helps them evolve as friends and help each other as well. They do bring out the best of each other many times in the show and it's sad that Season 4 tests them for reasons that aren't really believable.

Level of enjoyment: Love them but in certain doses still.

Family

Byers Brothers - Jonathan Byers and Will Byers

Ah! One of the best relationship of the show, sadly put to the side but was able to survive Season 3 & 4. Throughout the pain they endured, their relationship was able to grow and evolve into one of trust, acceptance and love. And I think it's beautiful and also tells a lot about Joyce as a parent and a single mom for the two of them to be that close.

Level of enjoyment: Love them and I hope for one last moment to make me cry because of them.

Convict Siblings - Jonathan Byers and Eleven

Good name! X) I like that. Sadly, it's the only thing they really share with each other because despite living under the same roof, they don't have much going for them as a relationship and honestly I am fine with it because we already far more important things to cover about their respective characters next season so I'm fine not getting much out of it anyway.

Level of enjoyment: Don't really care that much for it.

The Byers Family - Jonathan Byers, Will Byers and Joyce Byers

I mean, after The Party, this is the soul of the show, the thing that gives it meaning for what the show has been trying to say. It's the outcast family ignored and judged by everyone but still able to survive & realise they're worth something in the end. The heroes no one celebrates and realise are there for them. I hope they have the best ending possible in the end, far away in Hawkins & in a more peaceful place. Lonnie, you will forever be the biggest loser television has ever seen, you've lost so much. Hate their Season 4 characterization and how they've been treated since Season 3 so hope they'll be back in full force for Season 5.

Level of enjoyment: To be protected at all cost.

The Byers-Hopper Family - Joyce Byers, Jim Hopper, Jonathan Byers, Will Byers and Eleven

Sadly I don't think this particular pairing would be earned, already talked about Jopper not being good, the lack of clear relationship between Jonathan and El and how the Byers have been put to the side for 2 seasons now, so I will just be repeating myself. I understand the appeal but it will not feel earned in the end for me.

Level of enjoyment: Dissapointed by it.

Hopper Family - Jim Hopper and Eleven

Very basic pairing but it works and was pulled well for three seasons now, there's a clear evolution for these two and their relationship and they're always able to move through their issues and understand each other for that. It has provided a form of love and stability for each of them, and for that I root and I cheer.

Level of enjoyment: Love them and excite for their Season 5 storyline.

Maygrove - Max Mayfield and Billy Hargrove

Not every relationships get to live and end well and sadly, the brother and sister that could've been experienced that first hand. Billy made Max's life hell because his life was hell and ultimately that was used against them, they were able to keep the true spirit of Stranger Things alive in Season 3&4 through all the goofiness and stupidity and made us realise and care about the foundations the show was speaking about. Maybe, somewhere, something could have worked out but as their story made us remember, the pain doesn't really go away and sometimes it cannot end well, no matter how much we want to make it end well or wish it to be.

Level of enjoyment: Their relationship through it's complexity helped the show at it's worst so I really enjoy them for that.

Sinclair Silbings - Erica and Lucas Sinclair

Very funny but endearing siblings. They became more and more developed as seasons went by and despite their banter it was very endearing to see that they relied on each other for help and protection. But their glory days are yet to be here and I feel like Season 5 is going to give us something even better when it eventually comes out.

Level of enjoyment: I really like them and I'm rooting for them.

The Munson Duo - Eddie Munson and Wayne Munson

Wish we could've gotten a form of interaction between the two of them because given how Wayne speaks about Eddie, I believe they had a good relationship which would have been nice to see given all the tragedy we hear about their family.

Level of enjoyment: Wish we had more.

Wheeler Siblings - Nancy Wheeler and Mike Wheeler

I think there's some golden hidden in here somewhere but it's not been found yet. I believe Season 5 will give us some of it but their relationship has been seriously lacking and their deal back in Season 1 about telling each other everything hasn't really been honored.

Level of enjoyment: Let's hope Season 5 make it justice.

Willel - Will Byers and Eleven

Very funny to end on this relationship given my thoughts about what their roles are in the story, the parallels the share and what I really think is going on with the supernatural in the story.

Sadly, their relationship just like with Jonathan and El, leaves much to be desired. Their supposed deep relationship in Season 4 doesn't feel earned at all and the Byler/Mileven of it all really hinders interesting aspects we could be exploring. I do think Season 5 has to talk about the elephants in the rooms at some point because the story will just not feel resolved if they don't but for the moment, this relationship is not in the best state it could be.

Level of enjoyment: Twin flames it shall be...

Eleggos - El and her Eggos

The best ship obviously, gurl 💅 has taste and almost seems like it was destined to happen becaus Eggos, the Ego, the MIND! You know like it's in her HEAD or something!Is it totally healthy ? Not really, but the best ships aren't.

And there you go, this is what I think about most of the ships & relationships, at least the main ones or the ones I thought I could say something interesting about, even if it's not much.

But you know, I don't really like the way the romance is written by The Duffers and I think it has become the worst part of the show.

Again, I don't dislike or hate anyone who ship these because it's pointless and everyone is free to ship what speaks and feels right to them, it's nothing personal. But at least it's out of the way and I can focus on better things.
