Kinda like he wasn’t actually truly alive again, so much as giving a convincing illusion of natural life. But as time goes on that illusion or whatever sustaining him starts to degrade, denature, and warp.

(Kinda like an overflow glitch)

He’s not actually in any sort of danger because of this (at least for now), it just makes him more unnatural and unsettling to the observer.

as time goes on, it becomes increasingly clear whatever the shrine did was not natural. The more time passes, the more the illusion twists and falls apart.

It did not just simply heal and resuscitate him, like someone receiving cpr

(Bonus: I like to think he’s still relatively normal when he first visits zora’s domain and tames vah ruta.

But by the time he returns from taming the other beasts… not so much.)

Chapter one.

The sky was draped in a bleak, neverending cloak.

It shrouded the small child.

Skies above were littered in biting shards of meteors. Metaphors did not truly exist, in the vastness of this universe (for there are many), that seemed to echo the footsteps of the lumbering gods. The immortals whose ichor thrummed through their veins. How long would they have to walk in this barren landscape, drowning in ice as sharp as glass? The terrain below their feet was just as unforgiving, it clawed and made them bleed, until they had no blood left to give.

It made them miss their mama. They stared at the sky for years on end just waiting for her to come back. Maybe she could kiss her scars better. Maybe she could make the gut wrenching pain finally go away.

We are playing in a super homebrew world. It's also a sequel campaign a couple years after.

Her name is Aries (it sounds like Arisu) Lunari, she's 27 years old.

She's part of a community called Vinimo in the feywild. The original founders of Vinimo found Brood Children amidst the desolated land that was the feywild after an assault from the abyssal armies.

Both the founders and the Brood Children were lost child in a new world so instead of getting rid of them because they were different, they adopted them, raised them and loved them.

Vinimo took the wild, fun and eccentric side of the Satyrs and add a purpose to it by accepting the Brood Children as their own. It's not exclusively Satyrs, there's actually more Centaurs, Elves and a few other races than Satyrs.

Its main activities are parties to showcase artists, sculptors, singers, showcasing battle skills and trading with outsiders.

Basing a community around the Birth Queen means things tend to get intimate from time to time.

Since we are starting at level 1, Aries actual journey into self-discovery will begin once she leaves Vinimo. The goals I currently have plans for her is ;

• to find her mentor who ran away with a hatching of Brood Child without permission cutting their connection to Iat'Neh

• as part of her job as a Brood mother, is to spread Iat'Neh's philosophy

• she has a few siblings lost in the world

• take care of the Brood Child she will give birth to (planning to name him Skid, because his he a kid or a squid?)

I recently started to stream Darkest Dungeon for the first time and it’s one of my favorite games already. I really dig the Plague Doctor design so naturally I had to draw something for her.
