A century ago, they- That is, Vhaeraun’s Clerics, had sought to steal the souls of the various priestesses of the shrine and use them as fuel to open a portal to their goddesses' realm. It was… A cruel plan. One that, with the retrospect of a century behind them, they’d all agreed must have been devised by a mad man. Had their goddess not been prepared for her brother, It would have been a plan that had very nearly worked. Of the two twins, Eilistraee alone had reigned victorious. (Of course, she would go on to die to another's hands later on in the decade. It had been a difficult century for the whole of their church, not just their shrine.) Laenalene had not been around for either attack, but she knew well enough the devastation it had brought onto their sanctuary. Almost a century out, and they were still dealing with the repercussions of that attack. One of those repercussions was in the form of a ghost. She doesn’t know how Enclave knows about the ghost.
