I had Shovel move the statue to outside the Grove and into Astarion's waiting, grabby hands. It happened while Halsin as he was chewing out Kagaha. Funniest thing I've ever done in the game.

Aldiirn waited until the tieflings were about to leave so they wouldn't face any reprisal. Then Aldiirn grabbed the druids' attention with a soothing woodsy flute solo to smooth over any remaining resentments about Kagha and the tieflings etc while Astarion filched the statue in the background. They traded the idol to Mol for the Ring of Protection.

How does Aldiirn feel about Volo? Do they vibe as bards or is he ever tempted to let Volo start Talking Too Much to, say, Lae'zel because she would only have a measured response in politely asking the gentleman to slow his roll?

This is where I'm like ackshually 🤓☝️ Volo is a wizard, and for the most part acts as a source of income for the party via Astarion filching his gold and inventory every morning afdhgsfds

The scene has just started and Astarion's already skipping out! Patrons can catch him early~

Aldiirn abhors cruel punishment, but he may or may not approve of unusual punishment.

Relationships between Vhaeraun and his worshippers may be a little more belligerent than most, but the big guy is always looking out for his little guys.

Maybe Karlach's wingmanning didn't work out, but there's no better person to cheer up Gale when he's feeling his lowest. They have a bunch of banter together showing appreciation for life's simple pleasures and beauty, I have no doubt she'd give Gale's aurora scene the adoration it deserves. And they also have the ticking time bomb thing in common too.

And she's never gonna let Aldiirn escape that "loyal to the flute" line.

Aldiirn's compelled to justify Zahne's terrible behaviour when he can't even manage the most minimal amount of customer service face. Maybe Astarion's brilliant plan will cheer him up. 6 pages!

Hard conversation for Aldiirn, but at least it's nice to know his stinky cat is at his side. Even if said cat's ideas are a little too spicy. Astarion is trying, okay? He's new to things like sympathy and caring.

I will elaborate more on the backstory with Zahne later, that one page was THE hardest to script and got too chunky so I figured the details would be better split into another thing. Sort like how you can ask the companions for more detail after their big scenes.
