Pippa cried herself to sleep. She was so exhausted from everything that she fell asleep in the bathroom, held by her father. Eilas was hurt, pained, and angry. All he wanted to do was kill that son of a bitch or at least make him suffer the same way he was making his daughter feel.
A part of Eilas couldn’t believe this was happening. He saw Pip’s life going differently. He saw her ending up with Otto, her best childhood friend – probably living near him and Athena. This wasn’t anything like he pictured. It was heartbreaking.
Eilas didn’t know what Pip was planning on doing with the baby, but he knew that he’d support her no matter what. He always did. Whether it was her wanting to dye her hair peach during her rebellious teen years, or as a kid when she beat up one kid for bullying Otto. He always supported her. Always.
The moment he put Pippa to bed, he called his wife. He needed her to be here when he left and did something he didn’t want to do. But knew he had to. There was no way anyone was talking him out of doing it. Not even Athena, whom he loved dearly and more than life – she wouldn’t be able to.
