personally i dont think the hand and elias will ever really be separated. regardless of how they came to be, be it from the hand's hubris from trying to become dr frankenstein or otherwise (STILL thinking abt the idea that elias/werepelt/whatever was forced upon them), yamazaki seems to lean very heavily into "sometimes bad things happen, whether its your fault or not, and you must still face the consequences". there is no magical solution. there is no perfect happy ending. you are not guaranteed to get closure. sometimes the only thing you can do is simply move on.
