Hmmmmmmmhhhhhhh @V@ Sooooometimes I like to practice doing comics, but most of the time they’re very intimidating to me and I never do them XDDD However, Awa told me to draw Judal, and I suddenly got smacked in the head with like perfect comic layout of this, so I went ahead with it.
I love Judal |D But from what I saw of the beginning of Magi I thought he was going to be one of those corrupted charas who’s development arc was for him to get saved by the good guys, and then become an awkward softie. So I was pretty disappointed when the manga pretty much went the opposite direction with eeeeveryone. Not one of my favorite manga paths, but I still enjoyed the beginning parts enough XD
About the comic: I remember when I was into the manga yeaaaaars ago that I had ideas around this already. And I’m glad I never drew anything for them back then because they would have been ugly XDD But largely I remember realizing that having white rukh be converted to black in a person wasn’t a comfortable process, and after seeing Judal as a kid, and that other scene where he’s unconscious and surrounded by Al Thamin I wondered if it was a continuous process for him. So this is more or less set after one of those sessions when he’s just so done with everything |D
Also yey self indulgence drawing his hair loosely bound and all wavy XDDD I love his eyeshadow and ridiculous mass of curls |D
