I dehydrated my hospital bouquets and added some to a jar for healing spells. And then the eggshell powder. Once I have a full jar I’ll experiment with making them into chalk sticks.
I eat a lot of eggs and I always save the shells and grind them up in my mortar for later. And later is now. So I've been conducting little experiments, trying to come up with a formula for my own eggshell chalk. So far pure chunky eggshell powder is winning.
Once I figure it out Imma be gifting them to my friends <3
And just now I'm noticing that my mortar perfectly matches window sill in the apartment I'm renting XDD
Two versions for my "Fuck around and find out" sigil that I will be using for my eggshell powder.
Eggshell Powder: Crushed eggshells, Spicy seasoning, salt.
(You can add whatever other crushed up items/seasoning/spicy stuff you want to really pack a punch)
🖤
What to do: Charge the powder with the sigil and then sprinkle the powder on the outside of your doorstep(s) and inside of your window sills.
You can also keep it for baneful spells. 🔮
If you try this spell and have results please let me know by submitting them into the submissions box! If you have questions, send those to my ask box!
Finally made some egg shell powder! Well... chunky egg shell powder😅
Took me like 3 hours to separate the shell and membrane. My neck still hurts😫 but worth it!
Just had this cast iron cauldron and an empty soda bottle to crush everything. Hopefully I'll get a proper set soon😅😊
And this is what I ended up with! Came from 9 eggs, and as said above, very roughly crushed.
Bonus:
The deviled eggs my wonderful husband made me for breakfast! The eggshells came from them😊

Eggshell powder
How to make it
This is not the only method, only my personal method.
You will need:
hardboiled eggs
mortar and pestle
an oven and wax paper (optional)
patience
How to turn shells into powder
peel the eggs and remove the membrane (it takes some time but it makes the grinding easier)
if you want to make the powder right away, put the shells on a tray lined with wax paper in the oven at th5 for 5-10 minutes. It’s enough to dry the shells. Potential salmonella has been killed in the boiling process. If you have more time you can let the shells air dry.
Now to the grinding! As you can see in the first picture, my powder is not consistent. That’s because I tried a few methods.
Here I put a bit too many pieces. On the left you can see a fine-ish powder but overall there is too much eggshell to make a fine powder easily (I started to feel pain in my hand and I didn’t want to awaken my tendinitis). It’s the coarse layer in my jar.
If you want a fine powder (like the top layer in the jar in the first picture), you will need to grind the shells a little piece at a time and empty your mortar every 5-ish pieces for the finest result. In the end, it’s quicker and easier than trying to crush too many pieces at a time.
*this is the result of my experiments, a coarse eggshell powder is totally fine too (pun intended).
I made eggshell powder, this time for my plants! Super fun and quick, depending on how many eggshells you use. (This was only about 6 eggs).
The calcium from the shells help provide nutrients and reduces the acidity of your soil.
Plus, it just looks cute in the jar! Rinse your eggshells after you're done cooking, peel the membrane, let them dry (mine sat in the sun for about 3 hours) and you're good to grind!
Made some of this pink eggshell powder by crushing & grinding in some dried rose petals. Wonder what I should use such a Venusian thing for hehe c:< 🧚🏼♀️✨ ft. A spell bottle mix I intend to sell shhh 😙
