#egg substitute

I bought a new brand of egg substitute today and didn’t check what plant it was made with bcuz it usually mung bean or something harmless to me then I made scrambled eggs and halfway through the play I’m like hmm these are funky and check what plant their made with ITS LITERALLY JUST EGG IT’S JUST A BOX OF EGGS BUT IT SAYS EGG SUBSTITUTE ON THE FRONT IN BIG LETTERS how is it a substitute if it’s literally just eggs

I keep meaning to post this info, and I think I’ve mentioned it before. If you need eggs for certain recipes like cookies, quick breads, muffins, brownies, pancakes, waffles, and baked goods along those lines, you can replace them with flax eggs.

For each egg combine:

1 Tbsp ground flax

3 Tbsp water

Stir and let sit 5 minutes before adding to batter.
