Hmm, you know, I don’t remember actually meeting him! (I was like, 6 years old at the time? This was right around the time my parents were separating and we were living with my grandparents for a while)

I remember that he used to go to work in a limo and I would always ask my grandparents why. My brothers sometimes played with one of his sons, and one time I got my shoelaces tangled up in my bike and fell over in front of their house, and his mother (or mother-in-law?) came out and showed me how to double-knot my laces!

But as a srs lawyer you must use legal arguments you think are evil if you think they’ll help you win the case, right. Or else... malpractice.

Sometimes people communicate their ideas to me using the internet. This is the internet’s proper use. Communicating ideas. Sometimes bad ones.

Their argument did not actually invoke stand-your-ground, it was just that Feferi and Kanaya were attacking him “armed and with intent to kill.” SYG was the only way I could think of that this even potentially made sense as an argument - I actually have seen it used along with similar words in similar circumstances.

(Shooter busts into domicile making threatening noises and holding a gun, one resident grabs their own gun, shooter shoots them. The argument did get some traction, due largely to the identities of the victims and the shooter, but eventually got rejected.)
