AND UN-SPECIFICALLY: Listen, I can’t explain how much I love the concept of horror carnival stuff. People sneaking into the carnival, being somewhere they shouldn’t be, and learning exactly why they shouldn’t be there. Learning that the “””Monster””” sideshows really are not human. Games unwinnable. Escape nigh impossible. Losing the sense of reality. The night seems to continuously go on, the sun never to rise. Watching those bright shades of reds and blues and greens and the entire rainbow darkening. And now people are watching them. Now these spirits are watching this horrifying show and these trespassers are becoming part of the fun.

    “I dunno, at least I know my god isn’t a fuckin’ psychopath!” Staci surged forward in the arms of his captors, trying to tear forward and hit Joseph right in his smug mouth. Sure, calling Joseph smug was a good case of the pot calling the kettle black, but it didn’t matter. Staci knew he was justified in his anger. Staci knew he was right.

She swore to herself with these damn Peggies not letting up, they kept fighting and putting up a resistance to her, as well as the rest of the force that tried keeping them at bay. This one situation had to take the cake though, especially because she figured she’d be able to take on a small amount alone, but God was she very wrong. The Dep was pretty much cornered, something like what she tended to do to them before either capturing them or killing them if they put up resistance.

“Shh, shh, you need to save your breath.” Not only that, but Jess wasn’t exactly thrilled to be stuck listening to preaching from her patient. There was a nasty gash on his forehead that needed tending to, a stab wound at his lower back, and possibly bruised or fractured ribs. Those would be harder to diagnose without the equipment she could use at a hospital.

“Once we get you all fixed up, you can tell me all about it, okay? Let me talk for a little bit first.” she hoped it would help subdue him enough to get his attention. These were fairly serious wounds if left untreated. 

                 Ashley swallows thickly, the immortal’s eyes fixated on Joseph. The soldier’s posture was rigid, cautious, always on edge. The request was... a surprise. While Ashley had no qualms spending time with Eden Gate’s holy leader, the way he phrased it was strange. A date. A date, yes, a word used primarily in a romantic sense. Perhaps he should act less one of Jacob’s flock, less like a loyal member, more like Ashley. But alas, was ‘ Ashley ’ as an identity more than a weapon at this point ?? He wasn’t sure.

hearing these words leave his brother’s lips hits a cord in his heart that he simply had not been prepared for. ever since reuniting with joseph, he’s been the epitome of a man born to a cause. set for by god for a mission that paul isn’t sure he believed in upon hearing it spoken out loud. yet he still followed because he needed his family. 

all his fears and doubts kept weighing on his shoulders, especially after an attack that left him weak and needing the use of a cane to walk. only then did he find out the grusome details of what the project had been really been dealing in. to say that he’s been devastated knowing the deceit and betrayal were intentional and forced upon him, is putting it mildly. paul has been wracked with loathing and anguish for weeks.
