He knew what Vincent was escaping from. He knew what was happening. It seemed as though Sloth finally took some action and saved someone he loved.

Their piece had been done, and the night wasn't old enough for everyone to retire home yet. Instead, the music played on, the atmosphere mellowed out some, and the cigarette smoke grew thicker by the second.

Sat in a booth near the stage, nestled away to the side, the infamous BLUES BROTHERS and their guest singer, musician, and entertainer SARAH MCKINLEY happily joined their new acquaintance for a round of drinks.

Despite his police uniform, Vincent seemed cool. Appreciative, polite, and not at all minding of the trios criminal background ( if he was aware at all ) .

Elwood, who's arm was atop the back of the seat just above Sarah's shoulders, pointed to Vincent, cutting his brother off in a silent bid for attention.

She moved around her small garden, picking some vegetables for tonight dinner and placing them in her basket. She was humming to herself as she pulled up some carrots before standing up and turning around, letting out a little gasp as she saw Joseph standing there.

"Oh Father, I didnt hear you coming. Did you need something?" She gave a small smile to the older man.

"Are you sure about this Joseph?" Jacob asked his younger brother. He was always the protector, always looking out for the wellbeings of his siblings especially when they saved him from being homeless on the streets of Rome.

    Roughly twenty-six years ago, the powers that be gave Staci the powers that be...the powers that he had. It happened to a lot of people too, but not enough that it was considered the new norm. If these powers were considered normal, everyone would just accept them and move along. They wouldn’t have to hide themselves. They wouldn’t have to put their names in a registry and wait for the authorities to give them some new ID card that included their power as well.

    Staci wouldn’t need to blare calming music in his headphones whenever he had to go check on the villains he guarded. Joey wouldn’t have to split her life between normal law enforcement and then the random acts of vigilantism in the middle of the night. Vincent wouldn’t get strange looks in the ambulance as he saved lives. Danny would still be working as a hero. 

    But Staci couldn’t think about the litany of difficulties his life faced. If he did, he’d get pissed. If he got emotional, his strength would increase about tenfold. And that’s something he couldn’t handle. He’d break cell bars. Bend metal. Break doors off hinges. He couldn’t stand it. Well, yeah, sometimes he did like it. He did like being able to kick ass whenever his emotions got turbulent. But that’s a thing heroes did. And Staci wasn’t a hero, at least not yet.

Annalise always believed the compound to be safe. No-one could get in without The Fathers words. So, she didnt expect anything when she was tending to her garden at the back of the lot, humming away to herself.

She was in her own little world that she didnt hear footsteps behind her, she didnt realise someone was behind her until she was smacked over the head and by then it was too late, she blanked out.

The 12 year old stared up to the older man as he spoke. She held on to every word he said, believing everything he said.

She had always believed in God,growing up going to Pastor Jeromes sermons but it just wasnt the same as when Joseph spoke.
