Note: This is mostly Mark in the first part as it pertains to Strickland’s death. There’s no school because of Strickland’s death. Andy comes off callous about her death (he ‘didn’t like her that much’) when Jack asks about her while Robert comments she was ‘about mum’s age.’ Viv is all ‘careful with my little girl’ Donna but is seeing dollars signs with selling flowers over Strickland. Mark is sick to the stomach when Len asks him to drive him to hospital for checkup. On the way, they encounter a checkpoint where the accident occurred as the police ask the drivers if they were around during the time of the incident.

Emily tells Jack she’s decided to move in with Nicola who’s moved into a new place and the Sugdens bid adieu to her (with Ed). Now that Emily’s gone, Jack comments Robert and Andy can now both have their own room which Robert goes for. While Andy runs late helping Jack, Robert chats up Katie and comments how Andy is not keen on a group they appear to both like.

Jack is found not guilty on both counts of murder and attempted murder. Jack is free to go! DCI Harvey is clearly unhappy. Meanwhile the boys have a reunion. Emily receives news of the verdict. Bernice and the others plan a party for Jack at the pub. Jack is back home and reunites with Victoria. Kathy heads out so the family can have alone time. Kathy tells Bernice and the others Jack won’t be showing up but the villagers still toast to Jack.

Next up to testify is Diane who is questioned about Jack’s threats he made in the pub, his financial troubles and his mood. Diane’s testimony doesn’t help Jack feeling it was all twisted around her. Meanwhile, Kathy leaves Emily and her friend Ed to look after Victoria while she and the boys go to court (we don’t see them again in the episode). John Jacob Sugden is called next…

The Sugdens pack in record time soon to be in Spain. Andy oddly asks if they are coming back but of course they are (they are only gone for about a week before Robert drama kicks off). While Jack’s away, Kathy is still gonna look after the farm but after that, Jack comments she gets her life back. Kathy asked Emily to help her at Jack’s place.
