GIANT DAYS (Part 7)
He pulled out and handed her a box of what seemed to be medicine.
"I think it's Polish!"
As she opened the box and took a tablet, something bugged Daisy.
âHey, Ed,â she said, peering into his bag, âhow come youâve got so many boxes? I thought they could only sell a person so much cold medicine at a time.â
âMaybe whateverâs in the box isnât regulatedâŚor can even BE regulatedâŚâ
âWell, whatever it is,â Daisy said, as she saw Edâs bright sweater quickly turn a dark shade of blue, âitâs highly effective.â
GIANT DAYS (Part 6)
"Are you sure about this, Daisy?" Ed asked, as they waited outside of the class, "I can take notes for you; it's only 'Introduction to Mesoliths'." "No," Daisy said weakly, struggling to stay standing, "I paid good money for this degree, and I'm not going to miss a lecture; However, your sweater color's...too bright..." Ed looked down in confusion at his supposedly bright sweater. "What? Navy blue?" "I've got the flu as well," he said as he rummaged through his bag, "but I can't tell...because of this!"

GIANT DAYS (Part 19)
In McGrawâs flat, he and Ed were staring around, drinking in the dull nothingness that was his new room.
âLook at this placeâ he said as he unpacked his luggage. âIt gives off a âseventies prisoner chicâ vibe.â
âYeah,â agreed Ed, âbut at least theyâre knocking them down next year. Good riddance, too; nothing here works. Even my flatâs keys jam from time to time.â
Without turning, McGraw stuck out his hand and said, âhand them overâ, and without hesitation, Ed complied.
McGraw pulled out a pencil from his pocket, rubbed the tip on the teeth of keys and handed them back.
âThere,â he said, before continuing to unpack, âthey shouldnât stick now.â
âReally?â
âGraphiteâs a natural lubricant.â
âNeatâ commented Ed as he prepared to head back to his own flat. Before he left, he said, âHey, I bet youâre one of those blokes that can fix anything.â
âWell,â McGraw responded, as he observed a photo strip of an annoyed Susan, tucked away in an old book, âthere are just some things you just canât fix.â

GIANT DAYS (Part 16)
âIve gotten used to it, she said nonchalantly, âI wake up knowing that every day, thereâs potential for adventure.â
âIsnât it dangerous, though?â
âHey,â she began to answer as she stood up, âIâm still here, arenât I? Youâre still here too, so I think itâs safe to say that a little drama never hurt anyone.â
âCan you control it?â Ed asked as he dumped his remaining uneaten food and placed his tray on the cleaning rack.
Well,â said Esther, âI can; I just have to stay in my bed. ALONE! Ha ha!â
Ed blushed.
âWell, donât jsut stand there,â Esther called, âletâs get out of here before the grease of this place seeps into our pores.â
âI, uh, have to go to the library this eveningâ he mumbled.
âOkay,â Esther said as she left for the flats, âsee you tomorrow, then!â
Dear God, Ed thought, as he promptly left for the library, either make her love me, or make it so I donât love her anymore.
GIANT DAYS (Part 15)
With that, he combed out the mashed potatoes onto his plate and proceeded to eat them.
âARRGGH!â Susan growled as she stomped off.
A few tables over, Esther was sadly eating lunch with Ed as company.
âShe used my drama field for evil Ed. For EVILâ she said solemnly ate her mashed potatoes with gravy.
âWell, what DO you use it for?â
âI donât use it for anything. Itâs like the rear of a Victorian lady knocking into all the bone china; itâs just THERE.â
âAndâŚdo youâŚlike it?â
