Things Going On This Week
Happy Monday! We want to keep you up-to-date on a few things going on at BC these days:
DO YOU KNOW WHO PICKED YOUR FOOD? event sponsored by OLAA and Mike Cermak's Black & Green class TOMORROW, Tuesday, at 7PM in Higgins 310. Come learn about child labor in US agriculture, listen to insights about the racial and environmental elements of this issue, and taste some healthy recipes! Flyer is attached, and please email Meg ([email protected]) with questions.
Check out our website (http://bcecopledge.tumblr.com/internship) for a new internship posting for Climate Summer.
Get ready for the Fair Trade Holiday sale this December-- we need volunteers to help work this! We'll send out a sign-up sheet in the next few weeks. It's a great place to find Christmas presents for your family and support fair-trade goods.
Last call for applications: Green Buildings Program and the Communications team! Email Lindsey Holder ([email protected]) if you'd like to sign up to write, photograph, or interpretive dance (just kidding) or behalf of EcoPledge. No one can color-code an email quite like Lindsey... sorry for my feeble attempt. (Think you can do better? Sign up for the Comm team!)
SustainBC meeting next Tuesday, 11/15 in the Heights Room at 5pm. Free food, environmental justice, and discussion about environmental issues at BC!
As always, please feel free to email us ([email protected]) with any questions or suggestions.
