Recruiting timers!

Good day!

Today we want to make a special announcement.

If you have been enjoying our work for plenty of time, you must be aware by the plenty of times we have complained about it, that the hardest part and biggest obstacle to subtitle an episode is timing the lines.

In the past we have explained a few times how to time, so we won't repeat ourselves here, but to say, it is a rather grinding and boring endeavor. At least to us.

This past year, we have been able to advance so much on Jewelpet and Hamtaro thanks to the fact that we haven't had to time anything, and some members of the team provided pre-timed scripts to André. Honestly, it increases efficiency by the thousands.

Therefore, today we want to offer a position as "timer" for Paradise Hamsubs. Now, I know we are not selling the job well. But this is needed because we don't want to spend time "teaching" people to time for them to drop after one work or getting forever to time a single episode.

If you decide to help us, you will be a member of Paradise Hamsubs, and you will get the "contributor" tag in our Discord channel. Plus, you will be helping us release episodes faster, and that is why we are all interested in, right?

We don't ask for anyone that has ample knowledge of japanese, you just need to understand when a character is finished talking and the next one takes over. We will provide you with tutorials and support you with any questions you may have but, yet again, we don't plan to spoon-feed you, we do expect a little degree of self-teaching. And overall, we expect some consistency. It is alright if life hits you hard and you have to step off for a while, or if you take a few weeks timing a single episode, but we would prefer to gather people that is looking forward to work on a long project and won't leave after a few weeks.

We don't have a limit on how many timers we can get. To be honest, the more episodes we have pre-timed, the faster we can translate (up to a limit, of course); and it can be handy to have some backlog in case some timer has to step down for a while.

As a final note, you will have complete liberty on what you can time. Albeit, we will make some suggestions as to what to time next (for example, we have a small list of requested Hamtaro episodes and we do want to continue working on Jewelpet Sunshine chronologically), but you can just time whatever of the current series we are working on and they will be translated.
