[shes been sitting in the cage for a few minutes, having calmed down. god it felt like hours. she clicks, hitting her tail against the bars. all the sudden she hears a click from beside her. she perks up, turning to see a kraangified cat. she trills at it, and it meows back, a slight growl along with it. she smiles, meowing back at the cat. she tries to reach through the bars to pet it but cant reach. she looks down at her tail and moves it over to the cat. the cat moves towards it, curious, before letting the tail pet it. it lets out some sort of disoriented purr and Nova giggles. the cat lays down next to the tail and falls asleep as Nova pets the cat]
[she runs off to the cave to pick up Brutus. she moves the rock, kneeling down as Brutus runs to her and she hugs him tight, the warmth from her body comforting the pup]
oh Brutus…why can i just be a good daughter for dad? i don’t understand. if they needed me to be smarter than i am, and more…straightforward then why equip me with advanced AI? i wanna be more than just…a weapon.
[Brutus licks her cheek and she smiles weakly]

[she reluctantly closes the cave, sliding a rock in place as a door. after its secure it books it back to the base, running as fast as she can. after 20 minutes she gets home, sneaking in quietly and finally uncovering her camera]
