Daisy (OC Reference Sheet)
My third character reference sheet is one of my Jolly Wrench F/A-18E OC's - Daisy. She's a shy girl, and a little ball of sunshine - nothing like your typical Jolly Wrench at all! She is also the character that I've shipped with Echo (who's known in this biography as Daniel - I gave him a real name)
Fun fact: I actually gave Daisy the callsign of 'Delta' before I actually found the Jolly Wrench diecast Delta online - which is funny. I didn't know that Disney made characters that never got to feature in the film. Now I got 2 of em...

Profile
Daisy is the single daughter of FA-18 parents, Sadie and David. Her mother, Sadie, works for the Royal Air Force. Her callsign is Sunshine - renowned for constantly being cheery and happy, and always having a positive attitude. Her father, David, works in the Royal Navy. He has the callsign of Vapour - Known for always pushing himself to the limit, both in active service and training. Both from different military branches, the two met at a naval air base when their two squadrons came together for NATO-based training for a few weeks, and it was love at first sight.
Daisy was born in the early summer, and shortly after her birth, Sadie was gifted a soft cotton blanket with a daisy flower pattern on it, prompting Sadie to name her daughter after the flower. The blanket was gifted by her older sister, Stacey, who was heavily pregnant herself at the time. She gave birth a month later, which gave Daisy a cousin.
The cousins practically bonded from birth and spent their whole lives together. Their mother's often joked that both Emily and Daisy were meant to be sisters, not cousins. They both looked alike, gaining their appearances from their maternal side.
The girls grew up alongside each other. They'd spend every waking hour together from the moment they could open their eyes, to when they joined Primary school together. As the girls grew older, they started to discover their personalities. Daisy was calmer and more reserved, whilst her cousin had the personality of a firework. Despite their differences, they were incredibly close and shared an unbreakable sisterly bond with each other.
As Daisy grew into her teenage years, she realised that a lot of her appearance came from her mother and grandmother, but her personality traits came from her father. She found that she had a deeper connection to her father since they shared the same level-headedness, calmness and reserved nature. She was glad to have a close connection with her parents, but was saddened to learn that her cousin wasn't bonding quite so well with her own parents. Daisy supported her throughout their teens and became her rock during this uncertain time in their lives.
Daisy and her cousin Emily were the first females in their family to join the Navy. Her parents were fully supportive of her career choice, even her mother, who was a tiny bit disappointed that her daughter didn't want to follow in her tracks.
Together with her cousin, they both joined the Royal Navy at the same time. Vowing to each other that they'd never split apart, the two were lucky enough to qualify to join the Jolly Wrenches squadron - one of the most feared Navy squadrons in the world.
Daisy was able to bunk up with Emily and share a room with her, and they trained together.
Her cousin fit right in, with her boldness, fire and ambition. Daisy found things more challenging. She often missed home whilst in the Wrenches' recruitment phase, and she had a difficult time settling in once she moved into carrier ops.
Being the timid, innocent and shy girl that she was, she was a stark contrast to the dangerous, lethal and ambitious aura that the squadron was renowned for. In her free time, she'd stay in their dorm room below deck. She was more introverted than her cousin and preferred the quiet timeouts amongst the chaos of Navy life.
She was almost given the callsign of "flower" due to being teased about her delicate and innocent nature, but luckily, she was instead given the callsign "Delta", and she started to become more accustomed to Navy life.
As Daisy’s naval career developed, so did she. Although combat training and the idea of potentially having to kill enemy planes frightened her, the flight training lessened her timidness and grew her confidence in herself. She began to grow braver and a little bolder and started to really enjoy being on the ship. She also noticed that her cousin had the hots for one of the squadron's identical twins, Steve - he had the callsign of Bravo. Although Emily kept brushing it off and changing the subject, Daisy knew what her true intentions were beneath all the sassiness and competition with the male Hornet. Daisy still preferred staying below deck in her free time, which prevented her from bumping into the other twin.
Some time later, the squadron hosted a party at a naval air base. Daisy was parked at a table with Emily and a couple of other female colleagues. As she surveyed the bustling room around her, she happened to clap eyes on Daniel, the other twin, and it was immediately love at first sight.
Daniel was a ball of energy and could light up any room he was in; a stark contrast to his brother's calm, laid-back nature. He boldly approached their table and immediately began to woo Daisy with his charm. She had no interest in males before this, but there was something about this FA18 that she just couldn't resist.
Joining a quiet table, just the two of them, she began to learn more about him. His callsign was Echo, and he was a stark contrast to her. He was bold, confident, charming, funny, and witty. He had the most beautiful, deep blue eyes and the most infectious smile. She was quiet, shy, and calm, but deep down, they both had similar personalities. They were both sweet, kind and sensitive. Their connection was strong, and their chemistry was well matched.
As the pair began to date, they both started to discover and learn more about themselves. Daniel was energetic, always happy and charismatic, but being with Daisy calmed him down and made him settle, without extinguishing that excitable energy of his. Daisy felt her confidence growing further whenever she was with him. She found that Daniel was always trying to make her laugh, blush profusely at least once a day. He could somehow draw this shy Hornet out of her shell and helped her become more confident and bold. Their relationship and chemistry grew swiftly and intensely. The pair started to display forms of affection, and before long, they became intimate with each other. They met up during the day to train or eat together and be in each other's company, and sometimes snuck into each other's rooms in the middle of the night.
As their relationship developed, Daisy switched places with Steve so that both couples could share rooms. Daniel complimented her introvertedness well. He was more than happy to spend their free time cuddling up with her in bed to rest or watch a film together. But having Daniel as her partner made Daisy even more excited to go up on deck for duty. She and Emily also got to meet the twins' parents, Stella and Logan.
They were seasoned members of the Wrenches and were two very sweet and supportive jets. They were so happy to finally meet Daisy properly after they gave her and their son some space for their relationship to grow and thrive, and once they got to know her, they already treated her and Emily as if they were their own daughters.
Daisy also began to form a lifelong bond with Steve - Daniel's twin. Since he was dating her cousin, and Daisy was dating his sibling, it brought them closer as a group of 4.
Daisy often found similar aspects of herself in him. They were both laid back and reserved compared to their significant others. Soon, Steve started to behave like an older brother around her; always protectively looking out for her and treating her like a younger sister.
Daisy and Daniel, along with her cousin and his twin, often work perfectly as a little unit of 4, both on and off the ship. They spend a lot of their free time together, including being on deck, training, meeting up to eat, etc., and they pretty much spend all of their deployments like this.
After a deployment ended, Daisy brought Daniel home to meet her parents. They were overjoyed to finally meet him after everything she told them whilst on deployment. They were incredibly welcoming and supportive of their relationship, and were just as happy to meet Daniel’s twin, Steve, who was also dating their niece, Emily.
In future, Daisy and Daniel start a mortgage on their first home in Piston Peak National Park. The two of them marry and eventually have children of their own. Whilst it's not yet clear how many they have, the twin gene inside Daniel's DNA means there's always a high chance of twins. In addition, because Daniel is a twin, his and Daisy’s future children will be genetically half-siblings to Steve’s and Emily’s future children.

i mean i don't have very many...but i do believe he struggles with his self-worth. bravo helps him a lot with it. i think he also feels lost sometimes...i'll flesh these out more when i write him more
and also just a side note but can i just appreciate the inclusion of your oc harpy? you're literally proving right there that men can and will get abused too, which is such a powerful message for me especially cuz i don't see it much. and i have a question for you: would you be okay if i wrote something about echo and harpy together? if you don't i'm completely okay with it. it's just that that resonates with me really deeply.

Bravo & Echo (Character reference sheet)
Now it's finally time for our most beloved characters in the Disney Planes fandom; Bravo & Echo!
Compared to the first Planes film, they have a slightly different life in my AU. They're identical twin brothers, and I gave them real names which are separate to their current callsigns. I gave them real names like 10 years ago around the same time Micheal and Toni were first created.

Profile
Steve and Daniel are the twin sons of FA-18E parents, Stella and Logan, who are both avid fliers of the Jolly Wrenches. Their parents met on a deployment around the British Isles, right after they finished recruitment training.
The twins were born into a Navy family, spanning back multiple generations on both maternal and paternal sides. Their parents and other immediate family are mostly FA-18 E variants; their parents, most of their grandparents, and their uncles and great grandparents on their father's side, who were also members of the Wrenches.
Steve and Daniel also carry a twin gene,e which is only likely to affect males. It originated from their father's bloodline, which resulted in their uncles being twins, and even their great-grandfathers also being twins.
Steve and his brother had a bit of a rocky start to life. Being twins, they were born 6 weeks premature. They required extra care by medics after their birth and were placed in incubation tanks, and needed extra oxygen and a feeding tube for the first few weeks of their life.
Since birth, the boys were completely identical, which was a living hell for their parents; they constantly needed to use a coloured dye or a label on their sons, just to be able to tell who was who.
The twins bonded from birth, and they grew up together as the best of friends. They spent every waking hour together from the moment they could open their eyes, to when they joined Primary school together. Being identical twins, they both shared an unbreakable bond with each other that lasts a lifetime. For Steve, Daniel felt like his other half. He needs Daniel as much as Daniel needs him.
Steve and Daniel also shared a very strong, loving bond with their parents. When they were 3, their father, Logan, was deployed to the Iraq War. The boys were saddened to not have their dad around for their 3rd birthday, but he had left them plenty of presents already wrapped in time for their birthday, in hopes of cheering them up a bit.
The absence of their father caused the boys a lot of difficulty. They'd often cry and pine for their other parent. Getting them to sleep in the evenings was even more difficult. Logan would ring home almost every day or videocall over Skype whenever he could, but direct contact was very limited on the ship, and only so much time would be allowed. He would also send voice recordings, which soothed the children in times of distress. Sometimes, he'd even send a tiny blanket in the post that he'd kept for a week. It had his scent all over it,t which was a godsend when Stella needed to get the children to finally relax for sleep.
Unbeknownst to them, during the conflict, their father had gotten injured and gone MIA for several days before being rescued. Although the boys had no idea what was happening, they seemed to pick up on their mother's distress. It made Steve quieter, whereas his more sensitive brother reacted more to behavioural changes like this.
After Logan returned home with the rest of the carrier, the boys got to see him a lot more often for the next few years. They noticed their father's new injuries and became curious. Logan made up a cool, heroic story about him fighting off countless enemy planes, which earned him his battle scars. The boys were so impressed that they told all their friends for weeks on end. They were protected from the real story until they were old enough to understand.
As the boys grew older, they started to discover their own unique personalities. Daniel was cheeky and a little bundle of energy. He also inherited his father's dimples. Steve was very similar but had a slightly milder temperament. His dimples didn't show quite as much as his brother's.
As kids, they were relatively active and adventurous. They were always playing out in the quiet streets where they lived, along with the other neighbourhood kids, for the majority of the day. They'd be out practically until sunset; Steve was the one who was always prompt and always wanted to come home on time, his brother was the one who wanted to push the boundaries just a little bit.
In Primary school and high school, they always hung out with the same group of friends. If you found one twin, the other was usually close by. They defended and stuck up for each other, hung out together during recess breaks, attended the same classes, their grades were almost the same for everything, and they were both very competitive. They also played sports very regularly and always wanted to be on the same team together, despite their competitive drives. They soon found out that they worked better together rather than apart.
Daniel was the most comedic and distractible, whereas Steve was quieter, settled and eager to learn.
The 10 years between 2006 and 16 went by in a blur. Their father was away for 6 months, followed by 1 year of base duties, meaning they got to see him every day after school. Both parents would do their duties at their nearest air base on a typical 9-to-5 commute. After school, Steve and Daniel were picked up by their grandparents on their mum's or dad's side and driven home, where they'd be looked after for a few hours until either parent came home. The years went by in a blur of school, late nights doing homework in the kitchen, roughhousing with their father, parents' evenings, food, etc. Steve and Daniel were growing fast like weeds and were starting to become teenage boys - who were still trying to figure themselves out and regulate their own emotions. As they were getting older, they were beginning to change and alter. Steve's eyes lightened to an icy colour just like Logan's. He inherited Stella's calm and reservedness, but also gained Logan's intelligence and logical thinking. He tended to play by the rules and do things by the book, just like him. He tended to look up to his father. Daniel seemed to relate to their mother a bit more. He developed his comedic and charismatic side from Logan, but he inherited his mother's darker blue eyes and her gentleness.
Their tastes had also changed. Both boys grew to be quite picky with food sometimes. Stella often proclaimed that they inherited that trait from their father. Their metabolism doubled as they got into their teens, and they had huge appetites. Even to this day, Daniel has a bigger appetite than his brother. He's also a huge chocoholic, which was one of the big cravings Stella had whilst she was expecting them.
They also learned how much they could relate to their twin uncles. They were also Jolly Wrenches; James had the callsign of 'Double', and Andrew was named 'Trouble'. Steve learned that he was more like James. He was the calm, more sensible and responsible twin. Daniel found that he related more to Andrew; he was the funny, cheeky, mischievous brother. Steve and Daniel also dreamed of being Jolly Wrenches just like their mum, dad, twin uncles, grandfather and twin great grandfathers on their dad's side.
Off deployments, the older twins got to spend time with their much younger twin nephews. It helped Steve and Daniel to find family members they could relate to. Admittedly, they were closer to Logan's side of the family than their mother's. Stella and her sister did get along a little better than in the past, but she was never 100% with her younger sister, and that made her more distant from her family. Steve and Daniel did meet Stella's mum and dad through babysitting and being taken care of after school, but they didn't know their aunt well. They only learned the real reason when they were much older.
In May 2016, they graduated from high school with the same academic grades - all satisfactory. Their parents were so proud of them. The boys enjoyed their summer break, where they hung out with their dad almost all the time. He helped to build their strength up with various sports, one of them being volleyball. He also started giving them advice and practice on how to fly. Steve and Daniel were 16 and almost ready to start flying, but not just yet. They had almost free range of all their control surfaces and were capable of firing up their engines. They did taxi runs and practised zooming up and down the neighbourhood runway, but they weren't quite ready to get airborne just yet.
In September of that year, the twins joined the Navy training and flight school. They were both eager to follow in the same tracks as their parents and hoped that they could qualify to join the Jolly Wrenches squadron. As soon as they could get airborne, Steve and Daniel left home and moved to their nearest air base for Navy training and flight school. It was the same base that their parents had been working at over the years.
Recruitment training was gruelling and hard. There was so much information that they had to cram into their brains whilst they were still developing. The twins had to learn and complete all the theoretical courses, which was mentally exhausting and draining. The practical tasks were no easier. They even had to pass various health and fitness checks. Logan and Stella were always around. Stella was completing her own courses and physical training to finally prepare for carrier ops. Logan had opted to stay on the base instead of being deployed. He got the amazing opportunity to coach and train his own sons, which they were equally grateful for.
During the 3 years of Navy training, Steve seemed to take most things in his stride. Whatever he faced, he seemed to overcome it well. On the outside, he also seemed to make it look easy. Deep down, he was nervous and desperately wanted to pass. Daniel seemed to struggle a lot more than his brother. He tried to follow in his twin's steps, but he lacked the same level of confidence. This often caused the twins to bicker over each other's skill set; one was able to cope with the pressure, whereas the other was struggling and feeling frustrated.
Also during the training, the twins were gifted their callsigns. Steve was given the callsign "Bravo" - highlighting his cleverness, intelligence, skill, confidence and high success rate during tasks and sorties. He was slowly developing into a copy of his father. The nickname also referred to his good nature, quietness, calmness and well-behaved attitude.
At the end of the 3 years of intense training, both Steve and his twin were successful, and both received passes. They managed to qualify for the Jolly Wrenches. Soon, they were both able to join their mum and dad on their first ever deployment to patrol the British Isles. This was one of the few times when the family of 4 was all together. This was also the boys' first time they got to work alongside their parents and putting all their training to the test. Andrew and James were also onboard which meant that they had family members looking out for them whilst they tried to settle in and find their place within the friendly, close-knit squadron.
Steve managed to share a dorm with his sibling, just like they did on the base. Steve began to settle in fine and couldn't wait to see what was next. He confidently took things in his stride and seemed to take on sorties with ease. Despite never being on a boat before, he seemed to cope with the change quite well and proved to be very adaptable. His brother wasn't settling quite so well. He was seasick for the first couple of weeks and took a lot longer to adjust to such a dramatically different environment. Steve tried to help and support his brother as they started their training and sorties on the carrier, and they both gradually settled and got used to the chaotic life on board an aircraft carrier.
Almost a year later, at 20 years old, Steve met his first and only love, Emily. They met on the flight deck of the Flysenhower, just as colleagues. Completely unbeknownst to him, Emily began to form a little crush on him. During training missions and sorties, she would start trying to compete with him. At first, Steve would brush her off, but then he reciprocated as soon as he realised the sassy FA-18 could keep up with him.
Emily continued with her little mind games on her suitor, trying to impress him whilst masking it as friendly rivalry. Steve mirrored her, and the two of them were constantly engaging in friendly competition and banter, which gradually turned into the occasional flirting without them even realising it. Admittedly, he was attracted to her boldness, fire, sass and ambition.
His twin and their closest friends could already decipher the true nature behind Emily's and Steve's competitiveness and encouraged them both to confess their true feelings. They'd both brush it off and deny it at first, knowing full well how they really felt about the other.
Their masked rivalry came to a head one evening when the squadron visited a naval air base for a party. Steve was parked up at a table with his brother and a few friends. He had just witnessed Daniel approaching a table of female Superhornets and attempting to attract one of them. Feeling a hint of jealousy that his twin was getting all the female attention, he decided to join them. Emily was also parked at this table.
Initially, the pair were up to their usual tactics of sarky remarks and flirtatious banter; Emily, mostly teasing just to get a rise out of him. Steve mirrored her. This continued until they both realised that they were blatantly flirting with each other. They knew there was no coming back from it.
Later, Steve left to go to the bar. Another male Superhornet seized the opportunity to talk to her with the intention of winning her over. Emily wasn't interested nor impressed by it. The only male she had her eye on was, of course, Steve. Daniel was scowling and glaring at the other hornet, trying to ward him off. Steve soon returned to their table and warned the other male off with a growl. This both surprised and attracted her to him even more. In that moment, Steve had to admit that he did, in fact, like her back. It turns out he couldn't bear the thought of her being with someone else.
After the party, the two exchanged numbers, thus marking the start of their official dating.
Nothing changed much between the pair. The friendly rivalry and teasing continued throughout their dating until one night Steve confronted her about her "desire to be hot yet insanely annoying" in his words, before it ended up in the pair spending an intimate, passionate night together. Although their relationship burned slowly, it was still deeply intense. They'd often spend the day in each other's company and often found themselves sneaking into each other's rooms during the night...
Their relationship continued to thrive. They continued to take each other out on dates, standing together on the flight deck, parking up together in the canteen, hanging out in each other's rooms, and more. Emily often liked to watch Steve play sports with his brother and the other males.
The teasing and competing subsided once Daisy and Steve switched rooms so that both couples could move in together. The pair grew to be comfortable and settled with each other. Emily even got to meet Steve's and Daniel's parents, Stella and Logan. Emily was smitten with them. Stella and Logan were so happy to finally meet her properly after they gave her and their son some space for their relationship to thrive, and once they got to know her, they already treated her and Daisy as if they were their own daughters.
Steve also began to form a lifelong bond with Daisy - Emily's cousin. Since he was dating her cousin, and Daisy was dating his twin, it brought them closer as a group of 4.
Steve often found similar aspects of himself in Daisy. They were both laid back and reserved compared to their significant others. Soon, Steve started to behave like an older brother around her; always protectively looking out for her and treating her like a younger sister.
After a deployment ended, Emily brought Steve home to meet her parents. She felt nervous, her partner even more so, since both parents were members of the air force, and her dad was often seen as strict and overprotective, but both parents were happy and approving of their daughter's relationship.
Steve, Emily, along with her cousin and his twin, often work perfectly as a little unit of 4, both on and off the ship. They spend a lot of their free time together, including being on deck, training, meeting up to eat, etc., and they pretty much spend all of their deployments like this.
In future, Steve and Daniel gradually become two of the Jolly Wrenches' top soldiers, inheriting most of their father's traits as another top fighter of the Wrenches, like efficiency, precision, and pure, raw aerial skill. The pair have also won a few sports rewards and certificates that their father, grandfather and twin great grandfathers also achieved in their primes.
Also in the future, Steve and Emily start a mortgage together on their first home in Piston Peak National Park. The two of them marry and eventually have children of their own. Whilst it's not yet clear how many they have, the twin gene inside Steve's DNA means there's always a high chance of twins. In addition, because Steve is a twin, his and Emily’s future children will be genetically half-siblings to Daniel’s and Daisy’s future children.

Profile
Daniel and Steve are the twin sons of FA-18 parents, Stella and Logan, who are both avid fliers of the Jolly Wrenches.
Steve and Daniel also carry a twin gene, which is only likely to affect males. It originated from their father's bloodline, which resulted in their uncles being twins, and even their great-grandfathers also being twins.
Daniel and his twin, Steve, had a bit of a rocky start to life.
For Daniel, Steve felt like his other half. He needs Steve as much as Steve needs him.
Daniel and his brother also shared a very strong, loving bond with their parents.
It had his scent all over it, which was a godsend when Stella needed to get the children to finally relax for sleep. Daniel was a lot harder to settle down than his sibling.
Unbeknownst to them, during the conflict, their father had gotten injured and gone MIA for several days before being rescued. Although the boys had no idea what was happening, Daniel seemed to pick up on his mother's stress more than his brother. He'd often bring her little gifts in the form of his favourite toys or a blanket, or he'd paint little pictures at school to bring home to her.
As kids, they were relatively active and adventurous. They were always playing out in the quiet streets where they lived, along with the other neighbourhood kids, for the majority of the day. They'd be out practically until sunset; Steve was the one who was always prompt and always wanted to come home on time, and Daniel was the one who wanted to push the boundaries just a little bit.
Both parents would do dwell duties at their nearest air base on a typical 9 to 5 commute. As they were getting older, they were beginning to change and alter slightly.
Self-doubt would creep in very easily.
During exercises like bomb runs and dives, where failure was not an option, Daniel would be full of anxiety and nervousness and needed extra guidance and encouragement from their parents. This often caused the twins to bicker over each other's skill set; one was able to cope with the pressure, whereas the other was struggling and feeling frustrated. Daniel gradually learned that he was just as capable as his more confident brother and that he could pass things just like him. In time, his confidence slowly started to grow.
Also during the training, the twins were gifted their callsigns. Daniel was gifted the callsign of "Echo" - purely for the fact that he would shadow, copy or mirror his twin. Sometimes, he and Steve would look like literal copies of the same jet, which confused other colleagues and the forklift staff more so.
At the end of the 3 years of intense training, both Steve and Daniel were successful, and both received passes.
Steve and Daniel managed to share a dorm just like they did on the base. Unfortunately, things weren't plain sailing here. Steve, yet again, was way more confident. He took things in his stride and seemed to take on sorties with ease. Despite never being on a boat before, he seemed to cope with the change quite well and proved to be very adaptable. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for Daniel. Being the more sensitive one out of the two, he was very unsettled by the dramatic change of scenery. The gradual rocking motion of the ship made him seasick, and he required anti-nausea tablets for a few weeks until he could adapt to it. Training, sorties and lessons made him nervous and unsure of himself, and deckhands needed to give him a little extra reassurance and encouragement to get him out of his shell. Steve and their parents tried to help and support him where they could. In the end, it took around a month for Daniel to finally settle into a routine. He gradually began to thrive and forge friendships within the squadron, just like his brother. Daniel learned that he was just as capable and skilled as his twin once he overcame his fears and anxiety. He began to thrive within the squadron and gradually became a bit of a comedian, always doing what he could to make others laugh and smile. His goofiness and charm began to shine through.
A year later, at 20 years old, Daniel met his first and only love, Daisy. Daniel was attending a party at a naval base in England. Parked with his twin and a few other males, he surveyed the bustling room around him. He happened to catch sight ofDaisy amongst a table of other females, and it was immediately love at first sight.
Daniel was a ball of energy and could light up any room he was in; a stark contrast to his brother's calm, laid-back nature. Daniel was also a bit of a womaniser. He hadn't started dating yet, but he had the confidence to charm and flirt with the females Superhornets in the squadron, and he became very well-liked and attractive to them. It did have the consequence of his mother giving him a glare or two if she ever caught him.
Daniel boldly approached their table and immediately began to woo Daisy with his charm and charisma. She had no interest in males prior to this, but Daniel was attractive and irresistible to most of the ladies. His advances seemed to do the trick.
Joining a quiet table, just the two of them, he began to learn more about her. Daisy was shy - a complete contrast to his own personality, but they seemed to attract each other. Deep down, they both had similar personalities. They were both sweet, kind and sensitive. Their connection was strong, and their chemistry was well matched.
As they both began to date, they both started to discover and learn moreaboutf themselves. Daniel was energetic, always happy and charismatic, but being with Daisy calmed him down and made him settle, without extinguishing his excitable, bouncy energy. Daisy felt her confidence growing further whenever she was with him. She found that Daniel was always trying to charm her. He kept making her laugh and blush profusely at least once a day.
She and her cousin, Emily, also got to meet the twins' parents, Stella and Logan, who were also on the same deployments. They were so happy to finally meet Daisy properly after they gave her and their son some space for their relationship to grow and thrive, and once they got to know her, they already treated her and Emily as if they were their own daughters.
Daniel also began to form a lifelong bond with Emily. Being Steve's twin, he was always around and would often meet up with Daisy in tow, making them a close-knit group of 4. Daniel often found parts of himself in Emily: they were both cheeky, mischievous, they had an excitable energy about them, and were always teasing their closest loved one. Both of them always got along. Emily started shifting her teasing and rivalry onto Daniel, and before long, the pair would bicker and argue like true siblings. They would affectionately bully each other but still have each other's backs like family. Daniel, he got a future sister-in-law. And for Emily, she got herself an older future brother, which was what she always wanted.
Daisy and Daniel, along with her cousin and his twin, often work perfectly as a little unit of 4, both on and off the ship. They spend a lot of their free time together,r including being on deck, training, meeting up to eat, etc, and they pretty much spend all of their deployments like this.
In future, Daniel and his sibling gradually become two of the Jolly Wrenches' top soldiers, inheriting most of their father's traits as another top fighter of the Wrenches, like efficiency, precision, and pure, raw aerial skill. The pair have also won a few sports rewards and certificates that their father, grandfather and twin great grandfathers also achieved in their primes.
Also in future, Daisy and Daniel start a mortgage on their first home in Piston Peak National Park.

Profile
Stella is the eldest daughter of an FA-18 family. Her mother is an E variant, and her father is an F. She also has a younger sister, Sarah, who is a smaller C variant. Their mother flew for the Royal Air Force, and their father was in the Royal Navy.
Growing up, Stella had a good childhood and a healthy upbringing. Stella and her younger sister got along well and had a good relationship with each other at first. As they got older, the relationship began to gradually turn chaotic. Competition and rivalry started to manifest. Typical sibling rivalry slowly turned into something much more toxic, with Sarah always trying to compete with her. Stella usually found herself arguing and fighting with her sister, or bickering with her parents, to voice out her frustrations.
As soon as she finished high school at 16, Stella immediately left home to join the Royal Navy, making her the first female in a couple of generations of her family to join. Although she missed her parents, she was glad to finally leave home for her own sanity.
She went into Navy training and also learned to fly with its own integrated flight school. In 1997, she was quickly accepted into the Jolly Wrenches. She had only just sufficiently passed her flying tests and was immediately sent out onto her first deployment - primarily on maritime patrols around the British Isles and the English Channel. During her initial training sorties, her lack of confidence held her back. The first time she meets an obstacle, Stella would become unsure and back off, but after a few attempts at calculating and observing, her confidence would grow, and she would pass every hurdle thrown at her. Her lack of confidence on first tries instead showcased her desire to observe and strategise her objectives before overcoming them. During this time, she also obtained her callsign. With her name being Stella, it reminded a lot of the male crew of ‘Stella Artois’, a Belgian ale which is sold in all British pubs. Some crewmates started nicknaming her “Artois” as part of a gag, and then it quickly stuck and became her callsign.
During that year, she was also highly sought after by the males in her squadron, as she was known for her beauty, confidence and skills. One male Superhornet in particular was Logan, who took a great interest in her from the moment he laid eyes on her. However, Stella was a classy lady at heart. Despite also fancying the male Superhornet back, she liked to be impressed and wooed, and would often play hard to get, or pretend not to be interested at all. She made Logan pursue her relentlessly and prove himself worthy as her chosen suitor to get her approval. Even one of her closest friends tried to encourage her to give him a chance.
At first, Logan would try to spend time with her, engaging her in conversation, training with her. He'd ask her out for a drink, and he could often be spotted standing alongside her on the flight deck.
One time, as Stella was standing on the flight deck socialising with a friend, a male Superhornet approached her and attempted to woo her and win her over. At first, Stella wasn't interested in the slightest and tried to brush him off, but the male FA18 was persistent and not willing to give up easily. Logan spotted her and rolled over, eager to send the other male away. Both males saw each other as competition for Stella's affections. It quickly turned into a brief scuffle before the other male accepted defeat and left, leaving Logan as the winner. Stella was secretly rooting for him. When Logan came up to her again, he admitted his feelings were strong for her. The feelings were mutual for her. She was already willing to accept him as her chosen suitor; he already proved himself enough. They became an official couple, thus marking the beginning of their dating.
On the ship, Logan would try to make an effort in their dates, despite being limited to where they could go. Sometimes the date would be spent on the flight deck under the stars, inviting each other back to their dorms to watch a movie (hoping they had the place to themselves), organising dinner dates with each other in the canteen, and more. Stella also got to meet Logan's older twin brothers, who immediately began to treat Stella like a little sister.
Stella and Logan even had their first kiss on the flight deck underneath the stars after Logan made a sweet comment about the mesmerising galaxy design of her helmet, and at some point, they started to become intimate with each other and even moved into a shared dorm room together, just the two of them.
Outside of deployment, they'd invite each other back to meet their families and continue to meet up to go on dates or just to spend as much time together as possible. She got to meet Logan's family, who were immediately welcoming and happy to meet her.
When Stella brought Logan home to meet her family, they were overjoyed to finally meet the FA18 that had clearly captured their eldest daughter's heart. They noticed she seemed much happier and settled now that she was in the Navy. But her sister had other ideas. Sarah quite liked this male Superhornet herself. Waiting till he was alone in the kitchen of the family home, Sarah approached and tried to make conversation. When she wasn't getting the reaction she wanted, she pressed further and tried to flirt with him. Logan wasn't keen and definitely didn’t like being cornered. Some time later that day, Logan pulled Stella to one side to tell her what happened, but that caused her to react erratically in anger. He had to hold her back to stop her from lunging and potentially injuring her own sister.
In February 1998, Stella, along with Logan, was drafted into another deployment with the Jolly Wrenches. The Royal Air Force and Navy had been involved in the Balkan Wars for several years now, and the Wrenches were called upon for some extra support.
Both Stella and Logan found themselves in several conflicts during the Kosovo War, the final one of the Balkans.
In one mission, the Wrenches, another Navy squadron and two belonging to the RAF were sent out on a bombing mission to destroy military ground targets. Stella was sent to cover an area with another colleague, whilst Logan was sent to another nearby area.
Stella's primary goal was to bomb infrastructure such as tunnels and bridges, along with any storage facilities. Their task was successful; however, on their way out, a SAM site detected them and deployed two missiles. Stella and her colleague split up to evade the missiles. At first, they were successful in evading them, but now she had split from her teammate with no confidence in where she was or where she was going. Stella called out for support over the comms. Hearing her plea, Logan left against orders, but he feared he wouldn't be there in time.
Alone, Stella continued to use the mountain terrain to her advantage. Another SAM fired its missiles at her, and this time she was struggling to shake them off. One crashed into the terrain, but the other was closing in on her, and she had no flares left.
Just in time, Logan descended from above and dove down into the valley to avoid further detection. Levelling off, he chased the missile down and shot it down, saving Stella's life. Then, he took care of the SAM site before the pair announced their return to the Flysenhower to resupply.
The Wrenches continued their aid in the fight until early June of 1999. Logan was involved in one of the Navy's final bombing sorties on the 8th of June, and the squadron celebrated their final mission as the war was slowly winding to a close. Stella and Logan headed back to their room for a more intimate 'celebration' of their own. She conceived 2 days later on the 10th.
It was only a week later, during a phased transition into civilian life, whilst the ship was still sailing back to the UK, that the two of them discovered that she was pregnant.
The pair were excited and nervous at the same time. As the ship neared the UK on June 18th, they packed their things. Both of them, including their fellow colleagues, flew to their nearest naval bases for debriefs, and then they could go home the same day. Stella went home to her parents, whilst Logan went to his own.
Afterwards came a 2-week stand down from all Naval duties. This was when both Stella and Logan broke the news to their families. Her family and extended family had mixed emotions about this news. Stella was still young at just 19, but they were still supportive of her and Logan.
After the end of the stand-down period, by early July, both Stella and Logan were available for dwell duty at their nearest base. Stella felt pretty happy to be working alongside her partner in a more relaxed environment for the next few weeks, but then her morning sickness kicked in a few weeks later, and she was in and out of sick leave and base duties.
By the time August came around, she was in week 9 of her pregnancy. Her morning sickness developed in severity, and Stella was forced into full sick leave until further notice. Her sickness got so bad that she was barely able to keep any food down, and she was losing weight with suspected HG (Hyperemesis Gravidarum). Logan took a special leave from the military and moved into her parents' house full-time so that he could look after her, along with assistance from her own parents. She was put on IV fluids and strong anti-sickness medication, which settled her.
By week 10 of her pregnancy, at the end of August, Stella was due for her first scan. She invited both her parents and Logan's parents, along with their colleagues, to come and view what they believed was to be their first baby. It was during this very first scan that they discovered they were having twins. It was a huge surprise. Stella knew that there were no twins in her immediate bloodline, but she knew that there were male twins throughout Logan's lineage.
By September, her nausea and other symptoms were slowly wearing off, and she was more like her old self again as she started to enter her second trimester. She gained healthy weight, her appetite doubled, and she developed cravings.
She also turned 20 on September 4th. She was back at work alongside Logan and continued to commute to the naval base.
Also, in the same month, Logan proposed to her, and the two of them were quick to arrange their marriage in the next couple of weeks. Their loved ones and colleagues all pulled together to make it happen.
By the time October came around, Stella was showing a lot more. She hit the 4-month mark, which meant that it was becoming more unsafe for her to fly. She finished off her online courses before flying home for the last time as her maternity leave kicked in.
At the very end of October, Stella had her 20-week scan. She organised a baby shower to reveal to Logan and their friends and family the gender of their twins. At the party, Logan was the first one to cut open a large cake, and discovered the inside was a baby blue colour. He was overjoyed that they were going to have two sons.
At the same time, the pair had been house hunting. They used the money they received through wedding gifts, their own wages and savings, and some help from each of their parents, to put towards their first newly-built house in a quiet countryside aircraft neighbourhood. Stella continued to remain at her parents' house whilst Logan hired contractors, and also got assistance from friends, family and squadmates to help him decorate, prepare and furnish the house. Everyone knew time was of the essence. Stella was halfway through her pregnancy. With everyone pulling together, it took them around a month to get the house ready for the young couple. It wasn't very far from where Stella was staying, and she was able to travel there on ground and she moved in by early December, just in time for Christmas.
Stella entered the third and final trimester by Christmas week. As the new millennium began, Stella didn't feel like celebrating much. Everything was 10 times harder for her. The physical pain and discomfort of carrying two babies at the same time took a lot out of her.
In March 2000, Stella was recommended to be induced on the 21st to avoid further risk to her or her unborn children. But the preparations and advice of what was to come had stressed Stella out so much that she went into labour a week before. With the assistance of medics from the nearby Flysenhower, Stella gave birth naturally on the evening of the 14th instead. The babies were born premature at 39 weeks and 5 days, instead of the usual 10 months for singletons. The boys were identical twins and were Superhornet E variants just like both parents. The pair decided to name them Steve and Daniel. However, neither she nor their sons were out of danger yet.
Since her sons were born 6 weeks premature, they needed extra care. Their breathing was mostly fine, but they both needed to be placed in separate incubation tanks to regulate their temperature. Each jetling wore a nasal cannula against the tiny breathing vents on their nose, and a feeding tube that went inside towards their stomach. This entire event stressed Stella out. She would often be seen pacing restlessly around the incubation tanks, even with Logan's reassurance. She desperately wanted to follow her maternal urges of cuddling and holding her babies close to her, but often she wasn't able to. The only time mother and babies were relaxed was when the medics would occasionally lift them out of the tanks to perform the necessary skin-to-skin time. They only needed the extra oxygen and incubation tanks for 1 or 2 days, with Daniel needing a little extra time, but the feeding tube stayed for a few weeks until the jetlings were closer to the 45-week mark.
After the first 3 weeks, things began to slowly settle into a routine, and the extra medical equipment was slowly weaned off the newborns, and the medics felt satisfied that the babies were now fine on their own. Both parents soon agreed for both their parents to visit, but still kept things calm and quiet.
Stella, like her husband, soon realised that looking after newborn twins was not easy. They had to juggle all the duties surrounding the babies, like feeding and getting them into a regular sleeping routine, on top of cooking, cleaning and other household duties. They both received help from their parents, who would often come over to help clean or come with a prepped meal. Even though both Stella and Logan were completely exhausted, they somehow found a routine and just about made it work.
Logan began a phased 'return to work' after 4 weeks off, but he had another 10 weeks of paternity leave that he could use throughout the year in increments in between his dwell time. Stella continued to do most of the caring of their sons, but then Logan would take over once he came home every evening at 4 or 5 pm. Both parents were around to celebrate all of their babies' little milestones together. The moment the twins could open their eyes, their first words, getting up onto their landing gear and taking their first little steps. Steve was first to say "da-da" whilst Daniel tried to say "ma-ma" as his first word.
Both parents kept up the routine until the twins were almost 1 year old and were fully weaned onto solids instead of being dependent on their mother for milk. Stella finished her 1 year of maternity leave and began her phased return to base duties at her nearest base with Logan. Both of them were double-protected from deployment for at least 3 years, from the post-Balkans war and the birth of their twins. Instead of working 9-5 like her husband, Stella stuck to part-time work so that she had more time with their children. Her's or Logan’s parents would come over to their home for a few hours to look after the children in the meantime until either parent was available. This routine worked just right for them until Steve and Daniel started at their local Primary school and eventually high school.
In early 2003, Logan was available for redeployment again after doing almost 3 years of dwell time post-Balkans war. Stella, being the mother and main caregiver, was exempt. Having her husband, teammate and partner in crime taken away from her to protect their country once more was hard for her. Logan had been her rock over the last 3 years since the birth of their sons. He was an amazing father and did as many caring duties as he could alongside her, and now she somehow had to manage everything on her own, on top of continuing to work at the air base.
The fact that her husband was being deployed to yet another warzone (Iraq) made Stella nervous. She often carried a bit of anxiety in her body, which clouded her judgment in her training sorties. Even their sons picked up on it. The sudden absence of their father caused the boys a lot of trouble. They had to celebrate their 3rd birthday without him, even though he had prepared a lot of presents for them before his departure. It had his scent all over it, which was a godsend when Stella needed to get the children to finally relax for sleep.
Then, one day, all contact stopped. The first 24 hours left Stella wondering, but then after 2 days, her anxiety began to set in. On the morning of Day 3, Stella got the phone call that she hoped she'd never get. Logan had been under attack by two enemy fighters, and now the squadron had no idea what had happened to him. They explained that he simply went off radar deep in enemy territory. The Wrenches had to be honest with Stella. They told her that they weren't sure if he was lost, taken as a prisoner of war, or dead.
The next few days were tough on Stella. She had to care for their children, manage all the household duties and go to work, all whilst trying to keep it all together. She couldn't tell Steve and Daniel what had happened to their father. They were too young to understand.
She had a hard time keeping strong for them. At night, she'd stop holding everything in and cry herself to sleep. Logan's parents were also notified and would often visit to help her out and support her.
Sometime later, they got the miracle call they were all praying for. Logan had been found. Despite being injured, he managed to survive multiple days in the desert terrain and came across a quiet outpost run by British forces. They managed to patch him up before transporting him by Chinook to his aircraft carrier the next day.
Logan was pulled from all military duty. Once he came home with the rest of the carrier, he was able to tell her exactly what happened. She got to witness his new, raw scars on the left side of his fuselage that will likely be permanent now.
Stella had witnessed a slight change in her husband. She couldn't quite put her wing on it, but she could sense that something in him had altered. He seemed a little quieter now. She comforted him during loud, sudden sounds like fireworks or a balloon popping. He was legally protected from another deployment for a few years while under a long mental and physical recovery period, and then slowly phased back onto base duties alongside Stella again. He even had to undertake counselling for a couple of years.
In 2006, much to Stella's dismay, Logan was deployed again to the Iraq warzone. Luckily, the war had taken a different path. Enemy fighters had been neutralised, and allied forces were now focused on protection and close air support rather than the dogfighting Logan had been previously exposed to. Stella and their sons luckily didn’t have to wait too long as he returned safe and well after 6 months. This 1:2 ratio of home and war continued until the very end of 2011. It was a routine the whole family had to adjust to for 9 years. It wasn't ideal, but they overcame it together.
Also in 2011, Steve and Daniel had just finished Primary School at 11 years old, and were starting high school later that same year. It was an exciting and emotional milestone for both parents. Both of their sons were entering their pre-teen phase. They were getting taller, older, and learning more.
For both Stella and Logan, the next several years were a blur of 9-5 dwell time, late nights doing homework, parents' evenings, two sets of packed lunches, dealing with two young teenage boys who were still trying to figure themselves out and regulate their own emotions. At this point in Stella's life, this was probably the most settled routine the four of them had ever been in. She was still training with Logan at the air base, the grandparents helped with after-school care, and the twins got to see both parents every single day.
In the summer of 2016, Stella and Logan got to witness their sons graduate high school, both with similar and amazing grades. Logan would often proclaim that the boys got their intelligence from him, which would always make Stella eye-roll. Steve and Daniel got to enjoy a nice, long summer off, which was also the time that Logan would do as much as he could with them during his annual leave. He taught them sports, especially volleyball, just like he did in the Navy. He also tried to get them started on flying and taught them the basics. They were almost ready to learn how to fly.
In September of that year, Steve and Daniel were old enough to join the Navy training and flight school at their nearest air base. As soon as they were just stable enough to fly, they joined the same base that their parents had been working at for years. They were required to leave home and move in full-time at the base. This was the part that Stella hated as a mother. Finally seeing her two tiny babies being old and strong enough to finally flee the nest. She was happy enough to still see them around whilst she worked. Logan had opted to continue dwell time and, due to his outstanding service records in both wars, got the amazing opportunity to be able to instruct and coach his own sons with the other Navy instructors.
She could trust their father would take good care of them. She had to focus on herself for once. She spent the next few years putting in the work and hours to prepare herself for carrier ops. After she completed all the necessary training programs, flight and combat training, Stella, Logan, and their twin sons all moved onto the Flysenhower for their first-ever deployment together to patrol the British waters....

Profile
Logan was born to an FA18 Superhornet family. All of his immediate family are all E variants; his grandparents, parents, and brothers.
His lineage carries a twin gene that only affects males, resulting in Logan having older twin brothers, and their grandfathers were twins.
Logan's mother was in the RAF whilst his father and twin grandfathers were in the Royal Navy. He also had twin older brothers, Andrew and James, who were in the Navy. Growing up, they'd tease and torment their little brother, but they always had his back. He could always rely on them for backup when he needed it.
As a kid, Logan was relatively active and adventurous. He and his brothers were always playing out in the neighbourhood with the other local kids for the majority of the day. Life was a lot different in the 80s.
As soon as he finished high school at 16, Logan immediately joined the Royal Navy training programme with its own integrated flight school. In 1996, he was successful in joining the infamous Jolly Wrenches, continuing his father's and grandfather's legacy within the squadron. Even his older brothers were Wrenches, and they continued to support and look out for Logan as he settled in and trained.
Whilst training with the other recruits, Logan got to learn about his family background within the squadron. His twin grandfathers were Wrenches from many, many years ago. His father was also a Wrench and had the callsign of "Sting". He was known for his aggressive, precise and deadly flying style and lethal efficiency; something that Logan himself has inherited as his offspring. His older brothers were also Wrenches, with the callsigns of "Double" and "Trouble" - the perfect, humorous callsigns for the squad's mischievous identical twins.
When Logan finally joined as a Wrench, he was given the callsign of "Wolverine" from a member of staff, and the name stuck, just because his name was the same as the Marvel character.
During training, Logan excelled amongst other recruits his age. He excelled in his training, sorties and even sports such as volleyball - winning sports rewards and certificates years later that his father and grandfathers also achieved in their primes.
As soon as Logan passed the recruitment phase at 18, he was immediately thrown into his first deployment amid growing international tensions, primarily on maritime patrols around the British Isles and the English Channel. It was also during these early deployments that he met his first and only love, Stella. He was head over wheels the moment he laid eyes on her; however, Stella was already sought after by other male Superhornets. Logan was in competition, and he would need to prove himself if he wanted to win her approval.
Unbeknownst to him, Stella did actually fancy him back. She was a classy lady at heart. She liked to be impressed and wooed. She would play hard to get around Logan and made him pursue her relentlessly and prove himself worthy as her chosen suitor.
At first, Logan would try to spend time with her, engaging her in conversation, training with her. He'd ask her out for a drink, and he could often be spotted standing alongside her on the flight deck.
One time, as Stella was standing on the flight deck socialising with a friend, a male Superhornet approached her and attempted to win her over for himself. Logan was across the deck. He could see that Stella was uninterested, but the jet was still persistent. Logan angrily rolled over, being protective of Stella and eager to send the other male away. Both males saw each other as competition for Stella's affections. It quickly turned into a scuffle before Logan won. The other male accepted defeat and left briskly before the deckhands or Logan's brothers could intervene between them. Stella was glad he won; she had been secretly rooting for him.
When Logan came up to her again, he bravely admitted his feelings were strong for her. It turns out the feelings were mutual. She was already willing to accept him as her chosen suitor; he had already proved himself enough.
Logan also introduced her to his older twin brothers, Andrew and James, who immediately treated Stella like a little sister.
They even had their first kiss on the flight deck underneath the stars after Logan made a sweet comment about the mesmerising galaxy design of her helmet, and at some point, they started to become intimate with each other and even moved into a shared dorm room together, just the two of them.
Outside of deployment, they'd invite each other back to meet their families and continue to meet up to spend time together or go on dates. She got to meet Logan's family, who were immediately welcoming and happy to meet her. His parents treated her like a daughter.
When it was Stella's turn to bring Logan home to meet her family, they, too, were overjoyed to finally meet him. Logan met Stella's younger sister, Sarah, and they didn't quite hit it off the right way. Sarah fancied him for herself.
Waiting till he was alone in the kitchen of their family home, Sarah approached and tried to make conversation. When she wasn't getting the reaction she wanted, she pressed further and tried to flirt with him. Although Logan was used to female admirers, he was not the least bit interested in another Hornet after pairing with Stella. He definitely didn’t appreciate being cornered either.
Some time later that day, Logan reluctantly pulled Stella to one side to tell her what had happened. He wanted to be open and honest with her, but feared he would cause trouble. She reacted very angrily to his revelation, and Logan had to hold her back to stop her lunging and potentially injuring her own sister.
In February 1998, Logan and Stella were drafted into another deployment with the Jolly Wrenches. The Royal Air Force and Navy had been involved in the Balkan Wars for several years now, and the Wrenches were called upon for some extra support.
Both Superhornets found themselves in several conflicts during the Kosovo War, the final one of the Balkans.
In one mission, the Jolly Wrenches, another Navy squadron and two belonging to the RAF were sent out on a bombing mission to destroy military ground targets. Stella was sent off to cover an area with another colleague, whilst Logan was sent somewhere else.
His primary goal was to take down SAM sites and other weaponry and essentially clear a path so that other colleagues could proceed with bombing missions. His mission was successful. He performed the task well when he could fulfil attack roles, which he much preferred over bombing. Although the task was easy, it wasn't without obstacles. As well as destroying SAMs whilst staying below radar as much as he could, he also ran into a pair of MiG-29s of the Yugoslavian air force and entered into a dogfight with them. Logan made surprisingly light work of the Migs. His agility allowed him to outmanoeuvre the first MiG-29, and he shot it down. He then took care of the second jet that was on the tail of his teammate.
Soon after, he heard Stella calling out over the comms for immediate support after running from multiple SAM sites. Without hesitation, Logan left against orders, but he feared he wouldn't get there in time.
As he neared her position, Stella was trying to outrun two more missiles from another SAM. One missile crashed into the mountainous terrain, but the other was closing in fast, and she was out of flares.
Just in time, Logan descended from above and dove down into the valley to avoid further detection. Levelling off, he chased the missile down and shot it down, saving her life. Then, he took care of the SAM site before the pair announced their return to the Flysenhower to resupply. He knew he was in hot water later for going against orders. Normally, Logan preferred to fly by the book at all times, but if he hadn't made that decision to break away from his main objective, he might not have been able to save his girlfriend....
The Wrenches continued their aid in the fight until early June of 1999. Logan was involved in one of the Navy's final bombing sorties, and the squadron celebrated its final mission as the war was slowly winding to a close. Stella and Logan headed back to their room for a more intimate 'celebration' of their own. Since that day, he noticed Stella gradually starting to act out. She was more subdued and tired. It was only a week later, during a phased transition into civilian life, whilst the ship was still sailing back to the UK, that they both discovered that Stella was pregnant. The pair were both excited and nervous at the news.
As the ship neared the UK on June 18th, they packed their things. Both of them, including their colleagues, flew to their nearest naval bases for debriefs, and then they could go home the same day. Stella went home to her parents, whilst Logan left with his brothers to his own family.
Afterwards came a 2-week stand down from all Naval duties. This was when both Stella and Logan broke the news to their families. Logan waited until his brothers and parents were all together in the afternoon before he broke the news to them. His older brothers were shocked; they were going to be uncles - their jaws dropped. His parents were surprised, given Logan's young age, but they were overjoyed at the fact that they were going to be grandparents and offered to support him in any way he needed to.
After the end of the stand-down period, by early July, both Stella and Logan were available for dwell duty at their nearest base. Logan was glad for a change in pace. They were both legally protected from redeployment anyway, and his partner was now unfit for carrier ops. In the coming weeks, Stella was in and out of sick leave and base duties, whilst Logan continued to work.
Meanwhile, Logan took on the challenges and excitement of fatherhood head-on. Whilst working at the base, he'd spend his whole break and other free time at the library, reading books to research pregnancy, birth, risks and babies to prepare and educate himself on the best ways to be a supportive father and partner.
By August, Stella was in week 9 of her pregnancy. Her morning sickness got so severe that she was forced into full sick leave until further notice. She was barely able to keep any food down, and she was losing weight with suspected HG (Hyperemesis Gravidarum).
Logan requested special leave from the military and moved into her parents' house full-time so that he could look after her. She was put on IV fluids and strong anti-sickness medication, which settled her. He continued to make sure she drank enough, made sure she ate something and took great care of her.
By week 10 of her pregnancy, at the end of August, Stella was due for her first scan. Both of their parents and close family members were invited, along with some of their Jolly Wrench colleagues, to come and view what they believed was to be their first baby. It was during this very first scan that they discovered they were having twins. It was a huge surprise. Logan knew that the twins had to come from his bloodline; he had twin grandfathers on his dad's side, and he had twin brothers. There were no male twins in Stella's immediate lineage.
By September, Stella was becoming more like her old self again as she started to enter her second trimester. She gained healthy weight, her appetite doubled, and she developed cravings. She also celebrated her 20th birthday that month,h and Logan got her some baby-themed gifts. They were both back at work and continued to commute to the naval base.
Also, in the same month, Logan proposed to her, and the two of them were quick to arrange their marriage in the next couple of weeks. Their loved ones and colleagues all pulled together to make it happen.
By the time October came around, Stella had hit the 4-month mark, which meant that it was becoming more unsafe for her to fly. She finished off the last of her base duties before flying home for the last time as her maternity leave kicked in. Logan celebrated his 21st birthday on the 8th of the month.
At the end of the month, Stella had her 20-week scan and had organised a belated birthday surprise for him. She organised a baby shower to reveal, to Logan and their friends and family, the gender of their twins. At the party, Logan had the honour of cutting open a large cake, and discovered the inside was a baby blue colour. He was overjoyed that he was going to have sons.
At the same time, the pair had been house hunting. They used the money they received through wedding gifts, their own wages and savings, and some help from each of their parents, to put towards their first newly-built house in a quiet countryside aircraft neighbourhood. Stella continued to remain living at her parents' house whilst Logan hired contractors to get the house ready. He also got assistance from friends, family members and squadmates to help him decorate, prepare and furnish the house. Everyone knew time was of the essence. Stella was already halfway through her pregnancy. With everyone pulling together, it took them around a month to get the house ready for the young couple. It wasn't very far from where Stella was staying, and she was able to travel there on ground and the two of them were settling in by early December, just in time for Christmas.
As the new millennium began, Stella was already in her final trimester. Logan was as supportive as ever, only now he was her husband. He helped her, especially in times of pain and discomfort and helped to keep her comfortable and also helped to keep her stress levels down. He also took care of the majority of the house chores. It was the least he could do since his wife was carrying and growing his two sons at the same time.
In March 2000, medical staff recommended that Stella be induced on the 21st to avoid further risk to her or her unborn children. But the preparations and advice of what was to come were stressing Stella out. Logan remained calm and composed, getting all the necessary advice and information, asking the right questions... But Stella had become so stressed and worried about her babies that she went into labour a week before. With the assistance of medics from the nearby Flysenhower, Stella gave birth naturally on the evening of the 14th instead. Logan was her rock and was supporting her the entire time, and this was something he wanted to be part of - to finally meet his sons.
The babies were identical twins and were Superhornet E variants just like both parents.
The only time either parent could touch them was when the medics would occasionally lift them out of the tanks to perform the necessary skin-to-skin time.
Both parents soon agreed for their parents to visit, but still kept things calm and quiet.
Logan, like his wife, quickly realised that looking after newborn twins was not easy.
The moment the twins could open their eyes, their first words were getting up onto their landing gear and taking their first little steps. Steve was first to say "da-da" whilst Daniel tried to say "ma-ma" as his first word.
Both parents kept up the routine until the twins were almost 1 year old and were fully weaned onto solids instead of being dependent on their mother. Stella also began her phased return to work as soon as her 1 year of maternity leave ran out. Both parents were double protected from deployment for at least 3 years, from the post-Balkans war and the birth of their twins.
Logan continued to work full-time at the air base to bring home a full wage every day, whilst Stella adopted a part-time schedule so that she had more time with their children. Her’s or Logan’s parents would come over to their home for a few hours to look after the children in the meantime until either parent was available. This routine worked just right for them until Steve and Daniel started at their local Primary school and eventually high school.
In early 2003, Logan was available for redeployment again after doing almost 3 years of dwell time post-Balkans war. Stella wasn't pleased that he had to be deployed to yet another conflict. He had been her rock over the last 3-4 years. He was an amazing father and did as many caring duties as he could alongside her, and now she somehow had to manage everything on her own, on top of continuing to work at the air base. Logan wasn't that pleased about it either. This was the first time he had to be apart from his wife and kids, and he knew it was going to be a difficult 6 months away.
When Logan received his intelligence briefing, he learned that the British armed forces were being sent out to Iraq to prepare for an impending war zone. The Flysenhower was set to leave in late January, early February, along with a few other British Navy squadrons and ships. He knew he'd miss his sons' 3rd birthday, so he prepared their gifts before he left.
The Iraq War kicked off in March 2003. Logan's objective, much like the majority of allied fighter jets, was to annihilate any enemy weaponry and aircraft.
One day, Logan and another colleague were on a patrolling duty through a mountainous area of the desert terrain. They were suddenly ambushed by 2 MiG-23's. The Hornets split up in different directions.
Logan got the MiG-23 to chase him through a valley at high speed. He surprised his opponent with a complex manoeuvre, bleeding his speed and letting the MiG fly past him. Then, he used an air-to-air missile to destroy him.
Just when Logan thought he was safe, he was ambushed by another MiG - this time a more advanced 25. The pair entered into an intense aerial dance for survival. This fight was more difficult and challenging. Logan had to give it everything he had to survive this round. The only defence he had was his flares and his own agility. The dogfight was brutal and arduous until the MiG changed tactics and flew off before Logan realised what was even happening. When he turned and started to follow, he saw the other jet coming at him head-on. This was now a dire situation. In a split-second decision, Logan launched his second missile from his other wingtip. The MiG-25 opened fire on him with a gun. It was unavoidable. The bullets hit Logan, mostly on his left side. Bullets shattered his left turbine, destroying his engine. They also hit his intake, and some ricocheted off his left cheek and grazed the shoulder of his wing. Some had actually shot him, leaving holes in his fuselage.
His missile struck the MiG-25 head-on, immediately destroying it in a fireball, and Logan had to dodge it whilst his own engine was flaming out.
His sustained injuries were too severe for Logan to make it back to the carrier. He was already losing altitude. As he got closer to the ground, he levelled off to lessen the impending impact. As he touched the ground, sand flooded his engines. His wingtip snagged something, which threw Logan into a somersault. His head collided with a boulder, which knocked him unconscious.
By the time Logan gained consciousness, it was already sunset. He had a concussion from the impact of the boulder. If it wasn't for his now badly cracked helmet, it would've been a different story. He was now deep behind enemy lines with no working radio. Using nothing but limited ammo and his own raw instincts and determination, Logan had no other choice but to continue his journey by ground, with no idea where he was.
He spent the next 4 or 5 days traversing the desert terrain; hiding in caves and small canyons by day, and travelling by night. He had no access to fuel and survived purely off any fresh water he could find, either from fresh streams or taking a jerry can of water from an unsuspecting vehicle or a camp.
One night, Logan came across a large airbase in a large clearing. Using the cover of darkness, Logan ventured closer to take a look before he realised it was a base belonging to the enemy. Driven by the innate desire for water and a strong thirst for revenge, Logan entered the base. He used stealth to keep hidden, sticking to the shadows, hiding behind hangars, etc. After successfully finding a spare jerry can of water to take with him, he carried out his plan with efficiency and courage. He tampered with the area around the fuel tanks containing jet fuel, spilling trails of it everywhere. Then he lit a match and burned a flammable fabric material before promptly limping away. This gave him a head start. As Logan snuck off into the night, the fuel spills caught fire, which travelled up to the fuel tanks and ignited them in a big explosion. Hangars that stored live ordnance also exploded, destroying the base and injuring and killing a number of the enemy.
Logan spent all night travelling, occasionally stopping for a drink, before coming to rest in another cave. The next day, Logan checked the other side of the cave and spotted a small outpost with a small runway. The place appeared abandoned at first, and Logan took a big risk by exploring it in broad daylight, but he was beyond desperate to survive.
When Logan began to check the place out for supplies, he was suddenly cornered by a rather angry Tornado. Logan became defensive and growled back, but he quickly learned that this wasn't a fight he was going to win. He had no energy or strength left. There was nothing left in him. He stayed mostly quiet but still stood his ground. A few forklift soldiers approached them with guns pointed at the Superhornet before one of them recognised the tri-colour RAF roundel on his fuselage and the Jolly Wrench symbol on his V tail. They recognised Logan was an ally and immediately backed down.
The soldiers tried to offer him food, water, and medical supplies, but Logan had become so feral from being stuck in constant survival mode that he wasn't so trusting just yet. They gave Logan a small hangar just to himself to give him time to decompress.
The medical staff at the outpost spent the next couple of days cleaning his wounds and improving his vitals. They temporarily patched him up before transporting him by Chinook to his aircraft carrier the next day.
Back on the Flysenhower, Logan underwent surgery to repair the damage to his fuselage and engines, and he was pulled from all military duty for the remainder of the 6-month deployment. His older brothers took it in turns to visit Logan and take care of him whilst he stayed in the medic bay.
Once he came home with the rest of the carrier, seeing his wife and children for the first time in 6 months was emotional for him. He was able to tell Stella exactly what happened. She got to witness his new, raw scars on the left side of his fuselage that will likely be permanent now.
Stella had witnessed a slight change in her husband. She couldn't quite put her wing on it, but she could sense that something in him had altered. Logan felt different after the incident in Iraq. So many different emotions that were near impossible to describe in one word. He felt alert, uncertain and unsure of himself. He seemed a little quieter now than his past self. He was diagnosed with PTSD. He now developed a fear of loud, sudden noises like fireworks and a balloon popping. A loud intruder alarm or smoke detector going off was very triggering for him. Even a door slamming alerted him. He also suffered from many nightmares and couldn't sleep without a nightlight. Stella had to comfort him a lot during this time, and he even had to undertake counselling for a few years until he learned to manage it better on his own. After a year off to mentally and physically recover, Logan was slowly introduced back into work at the airbase. He was legally protected from another deployment for a few years, so he was slowly phased back onto dwell duty alongside Stella whilst the airbase staff kept a close eye on him. The routine of commuting from the airbase and home was one of the main things that helped Logan, giving him something to do whilst keeping him on a fixed, steady routine and slowly building his training up.
In 2006, much to Stella's dismay, Logan was deployed again to the Iraq warzone. He was initially afraid of going back into that nightmare and having all those traumatic memories haunting him, but luckily, the war had taken a different path. Enemy fighters had been neutralised, and allied forces were now focused on protection and close air support rather than the dogfighting Logan had been previously exposed to. He had a deckhand on the Flysenhower in charge of monitoring his well-being throughout deployment, but Logan seemed to fare well this time. His tasks felt much easier. All that was required of him was to escort other aircraft or convoys, performing low passes over towns to scare off militants, patrolling the skies, protecting offshore oil platforms, and occasionally providing air support to ground teams. Logan was able to return safe and sound after a 6-month deployment, followed by 12 months of home/dwell time.
This 1:2 ratio of home and war continued until the very end of 2011. It was a routine the whole family had to adjust to for 8 years.
This was probably the most settled routine the four of them had ever been in. Both parents were still working at the air base, the grandparents helped with after-school care, and the twins got to see both mum and dad every single day.
In 2011 onwards, Logan also had to do short deployments in the Afghanistan conflict.
Stella was more emotional about this part than Logan was.
Logan had opted to continue his dwell time and, due to his outstanding service records in multiple wars, got the amazing opportunity to be able to instruct and coach his own sons with the other Navy instructors.
After she completed all the necessary training programs, flight and combat training, Stella, Logan, and their twin sons all moved onto the Flysenhower for their first-ever deployment together to patrol the British waters....

Profile
Emily is the sole daughter of FA-18 Superhornets, Stacey and Henry. The pair were avid fliers for the same squadron in the Royal Air Force.
Stacey's callsign was just a shortened version of her name - Stace. That was pretty much her nickname on day 1, thus becoming her callsign. But she was also known for her straightforwardness and getting the job done. Henry was gifted the callsign of Viper - representing the serpent-like lethality and precision he showed during missions.
Both Stacey and Henry started completely uninterested in each other, just colleagues working alongside each other during deployments. But, as time went on, they began to notice each other. Both Stacey and Henry were both good looking jets; Henry, brown-eyed and particularly handsome with highly sought-after flying and combat skills, and Stacey, who was pretty with the most beautiful shade of blue eyes.
The pair shared the same competitive drive; starting off with some teasing during training sorties, which gradually turned into them clashing in some friendly rivalry and banter, until it slowly burned into something more… Some years later, the two of them married, and Stacey became pregnant with their daughter. Her sister, Sadie, younger by just a couple of years, was also expecting a daughter of her own at the same time.
Emily was born in June, one month after the birth of her cousin, Daisy. Emily is an E variant, just like her mother, and inherited a lot of her looks, including her blue eyes. She also inherited her father's determination, ambition and hot-headedness.
The cousins were inseparable since birth, and they grew up with each other right up into adulthood. Their mother's often joked that both Emily and Daisy were meant to be sisters, not cousins. They both looked alike, gaining their appearances from their maternal side.
As the girls grew older, they started to discover their personalities. Emily was a stark contrast to her cousin. She's determined, ambitious and confident. Her cousin grew to be a shy and reserved girl. Despite their differences, they're both incredibly close and have always shared an unbreakable sisterly bond with each other.
Life started to become turbulent as Emily hit her teens. Being born to striving Air Force parents and being their only offspring, Emily was expected to follow in their tracks. But their daughter grew resistant. She didn't want to have her life planned out in front of her. She desired to go against their legacy and create a new one for herself. Her personality was also developing: She became bolder, more ambitious and fiery. She also grew more rebellious and hot-headed. She often clashed with her parents; they wanted her to join the Air Force. She rebelled against them, and she would often vent to her cousin every time they met up. Daisy was her rock during this tumultuous phase in her life. She supported Emily and even got her parents to help and provide some advice to her parents, which eventually made them realise that their daughter was a whole other individual with her own dreams and desires. Her parents eventually accepted their daughter's decision to join the Navy, making them the first females in the family in a few generations to join the maritime route. They were still loving and proud of their daughter, no matter what path she took in life.
Together with her cousin, they both joined the Royal Navy at the same time. Vowing to each other that they'd never split apart, the two were lucky enough to qualify to join the Jolly Wrenches squadron - one of the most feared Navy squadrons in the world. They were able to bunk together in one room and also trained alongside each other. Emily settled in right away - her ambitious personality and determination were excellent qualities that aligned with the squadron's traits. Her fire and boldness are what led to her being given the callsign of "Sierra". An equally spicy nickname for an equally spicy young Superhornet.
As Emily's naval career developed, she settled and began to forge friendships within the squadron. One particular jet she made the acquaintance of was a male Superhornet named Steve. He had the callsign of Bravo and was one of the renowned twins in the Wrenches. Emily began to form a little crush on him, and it wasn't just his handsome looks she was attracted to. His eyes were the iciest shade of blue, and he often presented himself in a calm, cool and aloof attitude.
During training missions and sorties, Emily would start trying to compete with him. At first, Steve would brush her off, but then reciprocated as soon as he realised the sassy FA18 could keep up with him.
Realising her little crush was growing and was certainly not going away, Emily continued with her little mind games on her suitor, trying to impress him whilst masking it as friendly rivalry. Steve, of course, mirrored her, and the two of them were constantly engaging in friendly competition and banter, which gradually turned into the occasional flirting without them even realising it.
Daisy and even her closest friends could already decipher the true nature behind Emily's and Steve's competitiveness and encouraged her to confess her true feelings. Emily would often brush it off and deny it at first, knowing full well how she really felt. Unbeknownst to her, Steve's twin brother was also trying to convince him to do the same, and he also had the same reaction.
Their masked rivalry came to a head one evening when the squadron visited a naval air base for a party. Emily was parked up at a table with her cousin and some of their closest friends in the squadron. She had witnessed Steve's twin, Daniel, capture the heart of her cousin before he also joined their table.
He soon returned to their table and warned the other male off with a growl. This both surprised and attracted her to him even more. In that moment, she realised that maybe Steve did, in fact, like her back…
After the party, the two exchanged numbers, thus marking the start of their official dating. They'd often spend the day in each other's company and often found themselves sneaking into each other's rooms during the night…
Their relationship continued to thrive. They continued to take each other out on dates, standing together on the flight deck, parking up together in the canteen, hanging out in each other's rooms, and more. Emily often liked to watch Steve play sports with his brother and the other males. She'd usually just stare at Steve for the entire time, practically drooling over him.
The teasing and competing subsided once Daisy and Steve switched rooms so that both couples could move in together. The pair grew to be comfortable and settled with each other. Emily even got to meet Steve's and Daniel's parents, Stella and Logan. They were seasoned members of the Wrenches and, despite their amazing service records, they were two very sweet and supportive jets. Emily was smitten with them. Stella and Logan were so happy to finally meet her properly after they gave her and their son some space for their relationship to thrive, and once they got to know her, they already treated her and Daisy as if they were their own daughters.
Emily also began to form a lifelong bond with Daniel. Being Steve's twin, he was always around and would often meet up with Daisy in tow, making them a close-knit group of 4. Emily often found parts of herself in Daniel. Despite being an identical twin, he often behaved very differently from his brother. It often reminds Emily of the contrasts between herself and her cousin, despite how close they are. Both she and Daniel always got along. She started shifting her teasing and rivalry onto him, and before long, the pair would bicker and argue like true siblings. They would affectionately bully each other but still have each other's backs like family. For Daniel, he got a future sister-in-law. And for Emily, she got herself an older future brother, which was what she always wanted.
After a deployment ended, Emily brought Steve home to meet her parents. She felt nervous, her partner even more so, since both parents were members of the air force and her dad was often seen as strict and overprotective, but both parents were happy and approving of their daughter's relationship.
Emily and Steve, along with her cousin and his twin, often work perfectly as a little unit of 4, both on and off the ship. They spend a lot of their free time together, including being on deck, training, meeting up to eat, etc., and they pretty much spend all of their deployments like this.
In future, Emily and Steve start a mortgage on their first home in Piston Peak National Park.
