Helloo my 34 followers- Er- 33... Okay.. I’ve been trying to work on Deathtrap and make him be able to TALK! I MEAN, HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE RIGHT?? So far.. No good.. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna give up though!Â
So help me this robot is gonna talk and I’m gonna program him to give awesome High Fives that don’t require use of the New U station.Â
HECK YEAH!
Another night, another bottle. The firehawk was perched on a high point of Sanctuary. She wanted anything but to be found this time. She looked down at the fowl smelling bottle in her hand. Liquor. She couldn’t quite remember when she’d taken a slight liking for the taste of whiskey, yet here she was. She felt a small ping of regret somewhere inside. She spent so much time teasing Mordecai about his drinking problem, yet she didn’t really catch onto her ever-evolving liquor problem herself. The bottle to her lips she tilted back, downing a good amount of the dark liquid. She lurched forward, gagging a little. Stuff was bitter, and tasted awful, but the feeling is what she was doing this for. The absentmindedness that came with it... She’d convince herself it was worth it. She looked over at the chunks of Eridium she’d gathered previously. A dangerous thought crossed her mind. She picked up a smaller portion and held it close, absorbing it almost instantly. That’s when it all got real intense. She felt so focused, so clear minded, so free. It was as if just for a moment she’d forgotten everything and who she was. Then crushing reality came back to her, like a stake boring directly into the base of her skull. Her vision blurred and she fell backward onto a part of the roof. Nights like these were starting to get the best of her.Â
Another late night at HQ. Another sleepless night, awake, thinking. That's all she did anymore. Think. The moonlight was nice. Then again, being closer to it didn't help much. The floating city, soaring through the skies of Pandora. Was it really something to be proud of? Sure, no one would've survived without her, but was it something she could really take any credit for? Things like this haunted her often. Here she was, sitting on the balcony railing, just basking in the moonlight thinking about the old days. Amber eyes scanned the rooftops of sanctuary. A bottle of Maliwan black label laced in her shaking fingers. War was coming, and she knew it.. There was work to do and staying up all night wasn't going to get it done. ...Or something like that.. Damn it, what would Roland say anymore? After this, they were supposed to Retire. Be done with all this Vault Hunting business and they were going to retire to one of the peaceful planets. Fade into the normality of a slower paced life- Who were we kidding? Were we really going to stop? Every night seemed to be a newer struggle with reality. No rest for the wicked, huh? A nagging thought kept eating her on the inside. It should've been me, not you, damnit... The bottle would be set aside, empty. It wouldn't be the first, nor the last tonight..
