Empty Child was the first episode where I said I'm in love with this show. World War 2, Bombs, freaky children in gas masks, what's not to love?
This episode tugs at the heart on all levels. It's also our introduction to Captain Jack, who will become a reoccuring character and lead in the Torchwood spinoff, if you're a fan of that thing which I am.
Empty Child is one of the episodes I would watch repeatly, and have used to introduce people to the series.
