Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of homemade chocolate pudding. This classic dessert is simple to make and perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 cup cornstarch. 1/8 teaspoon salt. 2 3/4 cups whole milk. 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter.
Instructions: Mix the sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cocoa powder in a medium-sized saucepan. Whisk in the whole milk gradually until the mixture is well combined and smooth. Set the saucepan over medium heat and cook, whisking constantly, for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and boils. After taking the saucepan off of the burner, thoroughly mix in the unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and semisweet chocolate chips until they are smooth. Transfer the pudding into separate ramekins or serving dishes. To stop a skin from forming, cover the pudding with plastic wrap, making sure the wrap touches the pudding's surface. The pudding should be chilled in the fridge for two hours or longer, or until it becomes firm and set. Serve cold, with chocolate shavings or whipped cream as a garnish.
