so! whats inside the sixth coil? a seventh coil!

hardy har har. but really, the sixth coil is a mirrored prison sustained by glasswork made to keep an extremely powerful entity at bay. said entity is a fusion of a fingerking (the coiler of hearts) and a tiger (the seventh banded prince), creating The Seventh Coil. such a fusion was so dangerous and forbidden that the tigers immediately sealed them within a prison of mirrors and glasswork, a place neither real nor unreal. the tiger keeper has apparently betrayed his kin, opening the coil early, perhaps to free the seventh coil within.

also, the tributes arent dead.

yeah, everyone who goes into the coil is still alive in some way (probably horrifying in a way we dont know about yet) and it's up to us to rescue them! after building up a machine to crack open the prison, we are now tasked with mapping the dang thing so we can actually do so. interestingly, you gain a bit of coilheart renown by donating material. i dont think theres a way to grind it tho, which leads me to believe it might just be there for people to get a last-ditch attempt at getting the distinction of waking fire.

i, myself, have liquidated my 260,000 worth of renown in the form of 8 elemental secrets. 2,500 echoes earned indeed! we'll see if i regret it.

unique items! for those who poked their raked the mud on behalf of the gazette, we have mr huffam's personal blend, which i think was added because of how crazy the playerbase went over the last two clues of round five. also, those with 7 or more leads got to be in the good graces of mr huffam, our first insubstantial affiliation.

number one, first off, we FINALLY got another glasswork item for the gloves slot besides the lucky claw. additionally, we got a cthnoscopy home comfort, and a new vanity item depending on what you reflected upon at the end.

now, to the meaty stuff.

wow. i mean WOW. what a finale! and whoever said this event was a plotless grind? (looking at you @thedeafprophet)

first off, the seventh coil itself is an eldrich abomination tucked neatly inside an archfey, and terrifying for it. i wonder if October could beat them in a fight? the portrait was incredibly well done, and i personally liked that we couldnt slay this thing, only make a better form of containment. we quite literally cannot kill something this ancient and powerful, and i really like how the seventh coil seemed to genuinely care for the (former)tiger keeper, and honestly i think they'll have a marvelous romance in there.

now, i didnt regret cashing in my renown, but i do wish i had take more screenshots. there's just so much a journal entry cant convey. i also randomly found an eyeless skull while trying to grind SoTC? guess i can finally do the cave of the nadir.

i do kinda wish we could've continued to explore the outer reaches of the sixth coil, but i suppose that wouldn't have made sense lore-wise. speaking of lore-wise, i hear there was a 100 airs storylet in the sixth coil that had a lot of lore snippets! wiki editors are gonna have a field day with this. along with just the whole revelation that tigers and figerkings can fuse into a horrifyingly powerful parabolan nightmare. i wonder if the silvered future was caused by letting the seventh coil of of it's prison? food for thought.

but im afraid thats all folks, i got no more commentary to give. i cant wait to see all the cool art this ending will inspire, and i love the comfirmation of fingerkings being able to truly love.

well folks, we meet again at the doors to the sixth. the tournament of the body has completed, leaving the soldiers of skite in an upset victory. im honestly disappointed that the edgy new faction with no development won, but thats just me. the last two clues have surfaced, marking the last round of investigation. for those trying to get investigative journalist 21, now is the time to get it!

only one hour to go before the ending ceremony. i have amassed 250,000 coilheart renown throughtout the competitions, in case i need it to get a new equipment inside the sixth coil.

speaking of which, what is in dat dang ol' thang?

i personally think the "unsatisfying ending" from irem might come back to haunt us here, folks. this whole shebang stinks of fingerking.
