Messing around with making Jouradyi Hug magnets and possible pins, and trying to make some little Earthflight banners, with homemade Shrinkydinks. Before the world started to burn, I would collect #6 plastic, which has thermal properties being a Polystyrene. Finding it in the muffin/bagel section of the food store, or sometimes it’s a take-out type plastic. Need to look for the little recycle number 6 for it to work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gB7pQ1NE68o One of many tutorials on youtube for explanation on how to do it. (warning, slightly loud music on this one, so watch the volume.) Though, the video has them color the back, and have the lineart on the other side.... Hmmmmmm.... might have to try that and see if that is better method. I need to experiment more anyway! Though with my current ones, I put a shiny background, suggested by another earthflight member, to help bring out the colors. And the larger one has a magnet behind it, while I might try to attach a pin backer to the smaller ones. Maybe I will experiment with painting the back and seeing if that makes it look nicer. And then can build a supported pin backer so it’s secure and the pin won’t come off the plastic. Time for more experiments!
Whoops.
