Ginger watched anxiously as you bit into a cookie she made apart of a batch as a gift to you. She gulped a little nervously as you chewed the sugary treat, and inevitably swallowed.

A joyous expression spread across your facial features, as you turned to the young witch. “Ginger, these are amazing!” You practically squealed, before you took another bite of the cookie.

Ginger’s face mirrored yours as she too gave you a smile, clasping her hands together in a thankful gesture. “I’m so glad you like them, [Name]!” She said, to which you laughed.

“Like? You think I just like them? I love them! Ginger, you’re literally the daughter of the candy witch, the best baker in Book End without a doubt!” You said confidently.

Flustered; Ginger felt the blood rush to her ears, heart pounding in her chest, her expression turning bashful at your compliments. “Well, if you love those — !”

Ginger walks over to a counter, where she opens up two containers, each filled with a wide variety of sugary baked goods. “Then you’ll practically die for these!” Ginger says with a giggle.

You laughed, walking over to Ginger, you gave her a tight hug, kissing her cheek. “Thank you!” You said excitedly, before you turned to the baked goods, and began to eat them contentedly.

You ate oblivious to the very, very, blushy, but also dazed Ginger, that held her cheek where you had kissed her, hoping that wouldn’t be the last time you showed her your affections.
