Petrel is giving his report but Archer has that far away look in his eyes, and by the deep frown marring his face, Petrel doesn't think it's a daydream he's lost in.

The report can wait. Not like it's getting done with Archer murmuring 'mmhmm' repeatedly.

He grabs Archer tight by the collar and plops down on his lap. Archer is barely starting to react when Petrel invades his mouth with a kiss.

When Archer gasps for breath a moment later, he is gasping, and very present. "What the hell was that about?"

"Had to drag you back here somehow."
