We are super excited that a wonderful young man named Ryan has chosen Blackberry Creek for his Eagle Scout project! We’ve been working with Ryan since late last year and he’s done a terrific job going through the extremely detailed and time consuming planning, organizing, and documentation process required in the Eagle Scout program. He and his parents have been fundraising for the project, and he reached his goal today (with combined donations on various platforms)! Ryan will be building new fencing in the form of a complicated funnel/gate system and installing our veterinary chute so that our awesome vet Natalie Sundstrom can work on the large animals like cattle and pigs more safely (both for them and for her)! He and his team will be doing the bulk of the physical work the 21st-23rd and we will be posting photos and updates so you’ll can all follow along! To turn a neighborhood like Olde Towne East into a better community, my project is to provide a space where neighbors can come together, celebrate and build a stronger community.  A place where everyone can live, everyone can succeed and everyone can raise families together in prosperity.

Omg!!! We’re on the finish line, his proposal was approved for his Eagle Scout project. It all started during a dark time in our lives. He begged me to go to a meeting just to see! He begged me to please let him attend another meeting. He somehow convinced me that he need me to help guide in his troop. It was a family affair he said! His project is backpack for the homeless, this has a lot of meaning for him and it’s close to his heart. The goal is to make 50 to 100 backpacks if not more.
