The sensory overload that came from being a wolf hadn’t diminished, Lance couldn’t help but notice. Especially when he secluded himself into sleeping in his car. It meant every time he went outside he got a major headache. So he’d gone in search of food and painkillers from a store, a frown etched permanently onto his features. 

“Thanks.” he said shortly as he passed over the money, a hand gripping a bag of chips and a box of painkillers. It wasn’t much, but it was all he could afford. 

“You don’t quit, do you?” He said with a bewildered grin as Dean fought for his attention. Bewildered but amused, still. “Are you at least going to make it worth my time?”

“ comeon, i always make it worth your time. never failed you on a case yet, ”dean says with a smirk growing on his lips. he knows that’s not what the wolf had meant, but still, the hunter wasn’t wrong. dean moves closer to the other man, standing closer. “ so? what do you what me to work on? ”
