do all people with dyslexia have visual issues when reading words? cus i hear a lot that letters are inverted or so forth. only asking cus ive noticed i cannot comprehend basic sentences and keep misreading common words, but when i look at words they seem fine. thinking it might just be adhd tho but oh my god mental illness is so confusing why my brain no worky </3
So i've been researching and doing online questionnaires for a while now, and I think it's pretty safe to say that i'm dyslexic. I mean, i'm almost certain, but assessments aren't on the NHS so i'll have to shell out £700 for a psychologist if i want to know for sure.
And honestly, little peeved at my parents at the moment. The amount of shit i got for stuff that was probably just dyslexia. I've been grounded for forgetting things, misplacing things. I've literally been screamed at not getting verbal instructions. I kept saying that I couldn't help it until I cried, but not once did they ever consider getting me tested?
Assessment for children are free on the NHS??? they're free. I'm 23 years old, I'm a masters student, and I could have literally gotten extra help in school this whole time. I'm... upset
