The past few days didn’t seem real to Sarah. It was almost like she was stuck in a dream that she hadn’t woken up from yet. Although it was probably more of a nightmare than anything. John B and her had escaped, they were alive.. But they left behind so much destruction. Her heart ached as she thought of their friends, the people that truly loved and cared about them that probably thought they were dead. It made sense though, how could they have survived heading right into the storm. But by some miracle they did and were picked up by a passing ship. She had every intention of the two of them getting dropped off at the next port, but when they were told that the ship was heading to the Bahamas the two of them knew that they would be going there also.
They only had about another day until the ship arrived in the Bahamas, and she was going to try and do everything she could to clear her head before getting there. She was determined to get back what her father took. After drying off and cleaning up, she entered the room the crew gave her and John to stay in. A small smile found her lips as eyes scanned him, her heart knowing as long as they were together they’d be okay. “Hey, you.” She said, walking over to where he was. “You doing okay?” She asked, a gentle hand placed on his arm. Sarah’s world may have been completely turned upside down, but being there for John B was her top priority. @dxstyskies
