"Good evening," Neville smiles kindly back, setting their quill down. "Won't you come sit with me?"

They can tell the little Slytherin is nervous, but they've known for many years that this is how it would go. Most of the adults have known, really, they wouldn't be surprised if everyone know. Part of them thought that maybe the child would ask the sorting hat for not Slytherin, but they're glad it didn't work. Allie wouldn't be happy in other houses, and all Neville wants is for their godchild to be happy.

"I'm okay," she replies ina soft whisper. She's hugging her book tight to her chest. "Scorpius is beyond kind, but the others aren't so much so. Why are my dormmates so horrible?" She reaches up to try and tuck her hair behind her ear, the messy Potter hair not nearly as long as she wished.
