âNo- no, no, no, no.â Phone thrown quickly to one side, Peter scrambled out of bed and began pulling on his suit. Sure heâd promised himself to look at the Bugle a little less, but unfortunately the sensationalized ânewsâ site was the best way to keep up on the stranger happenings in the city... like a new sighting of a man with four extra mechanical arms. Doc.
Tucking his phone safely away in one of the hidden pockets in the suit heâd made for himself, Peter was out the window and swinging through the city in record time. As he swung towards the abandoned warehouse mentioned in the article, a million thoughts flew through Peterâs head. I wasnât quick enough to find the Doctor Octavius in my universe. It canât be the one I met before, right? Strange sent them all home. What if this is a trap? What if Jameson is trying to trick me? What if-? What if-? What if-?
Easily finding an open (well, broken) window, Peter let himself in to the warehouse by the river- though he kept to the ceiling, crawling as quietly as he possibly could. If this was Jameson or someone else from the Bugle trying to get him to look bad again, he wasnât going to give them a chance. But if the story was true... he had to help. Or at least try.
Dropping down onto a sturdy-ish looking part of the warehouseâs elevated catwalk, Peter couldnât see much. And since he didnât feel like there was much danger yet, he called out-
âHello? Is anyone in here?â
