Time Crash - Behind the Scenes - Part Ten
Excerpts from Benjamin Cook’s interview with writer Steven Moffat in DWM #389:
DWM: David and Peter's Doctors work together wonderfully, don't they? Steven Moffat: In honesty, I think it's partly because they both really want it to. I agreed to do this for Children in Need without actually knowing what I was saying yes to. 'Eight pages? How wrong can I go?' I bumped into David at some Chiswick House concert thing, and we were having a bit of a laugh, and drinking too much, and he said, 'We should get Peter back in,' because he really loves Peter, and loves his Doctor and all that. He was dead keen. I know Peter reasonably well, because Sue [Vertue, Steven's wife] worked with him for a while [as producer of 2006 sitcom Fear, Stress and Anger, starring Peter], so we're friends, and our families are friends, our kids are friends, and he's a big fan of the show. He loves watching Doctor Who, and he was keen to come in and do it. I knew that he wouldn't be resentful. There's enough commonality between their Doctors, I think, for it to work. They're sweet together.

I think about this dwm cover all the time
Big headcanon of mine is that Actor had/has a crush on the DA. I mean it's obviously canon that many people find MC/you attractive so why would Actor be any different? It's basically canon kinda? Lemme stretch the lore a bit and let be believe this (´ε` ) DWM is revealed to all be a set for some movie or something, yes, BUT Actor is setting everything up himself because this is his world so what if he "revealed" the set to throw you off his scent of actually having wanted to go on a date with MC/you. ヾ(・ω・*)ノ
Also a big part of this fandom is using DA and Captain, but, aren't they all the same person just with memory issues because of Mark (ㆁωㆁ)?? Yes we take on different titles during each of the bigger series, but in ones like Date and Heist we don't really have a specific title? What would it be, datie and Criminal (≧▽≦)? That's why I prefer just saying MC/you. To be fair I've been out of this fandom for a WHILE so I'm probably very rusty and need to relearn most of the lore though ┐(‘~`;)┌

Now that I’m the same age Astrid was when she met Silco, I need her help figuring out how to bag a hot dilf too please
I gotchu sweetie 😘
❤️🔥 ASTRID’S TOP TIPS FOR BAGGING A HOT DILF ❤️🔥
1.) Start sassing and back-chatting from the get go. It's very important to establish yourself as a menace from the very start for a couple of reasons. Firstly, (and most crucially) it means you'll be able to get away with all sorts of things down the line. Secondly, it'll let you know pretty quickly whether he's a keeper. If he has a sense of humour and is secure in himself then he will find your cheekiness endearing, or at least amusing. If he isn't into it then he's a boring, insecure fud and you don't need to waste anymore time on gramps 🙅♀️
2.) Pick a signature scent and stick with it. Something distinct and recognisable that compliments your style and personality. Wear it ALWAYS. In fact, keep a little bottle of it on you and spritz it on his stuff when he isn't looking - worked for me 💁♀️ NOTE: The key here is to not overdo it. You want your smell to haunt him, not overpower him.
3.) Bond with his kid(s). And I mean that genuinely. Don't fake a relationship just to get close to their dad – that would be super shitty – but put in the effort to get to know them as much as possible. I'm not saying you need to be best friends with them or anything, some personalities just don't gel and you can't force that, but you gotta respect them and treat them as their own person. Be someone in their life they view as trustworthy - regardless of how close your relationship with them is
BONUS TIP: Your eyes can say an awful lot whilst still giving you plausible deniability. Is your silver fox looking particularly handsome today? Give him a slow and deliberate once over. He can speculate on what you're thinking, but he can't prove it ;)
Sometimes I am struck with the realisation that many people only know Frobisher from the two audios he’s in and not the Sixth Doctor comics.
And I just want to really recommend them! They are so good and so fun and also have some really interesting Gallifrey lore with Voyager and Astrolabus.
It has some of the most experimental who stories of the day which laid the path for Big Finish and Faction Paradox. honestly DWM comics are just really good and I’m not sure why more people don’t read them. They are so good.
Good News for Paper Men Readers!
I'm going to be returning to the series earlier than expected.
I've hit a snag in the latest DWM one-shot. I've been trying to work my new ideas into the current plot, but it's just not fitting. And I figure I could spend another few weeks fiddling with it, wasting more time OR I can set it aside, let it breathe for a bit, and work on something else. And I'd much rather spend my time working on Paper Men because that series is still unfinished, and I know people have been waiting a really long time for an update. DWM is technically done, so I'm not gonna stress myself out over bonus content.
So that's it. Just wanted to give a little update. Now I'm gonna go re-read some key chapters while listening to the PM playlist. I got some new songs I need to add.
