I rewatched all of One Day At a Time and finished season 3 and now I have a lot of Schneider thoughts and feelings and rather than putting them in separate posts I’m just gonna jumble them all up here on one post:
Lydia and Schneider have a really wonderful relationship that gives me all the feels.
I’m watching how close Lydia an Schneider are in season 1 which I now know came about because Lydia visited Schneider while he was in rehab and was basically the reason he hung on to his sobriety. You can see how grateful he is to Lydia and how much he loves her and you can see how much affection Lydia has for him and how she takes care of him.
Schneider comes to Lydia a lot for stuff in season 1 like the salsa lessons and Lydia is not phased at all and just helps him out. I love it.

The fact that Lydia is the one who puts his chip in the Alvarez museum in season 3 means everything to me.
She’s the one who made him a cake when he got his 5 year chip. She made him soup when he was in rehab.

Also, how is no one talking about the fact that Lydia makes Schneider sopa de pollo when he relapses just like she did when he was in rehab!!!! GUYS!!!!

Schneider is the best and no one can tell me otherwise. He’s so cute and sweet and kind and loving. He takes care of the people he loves and he’s really good at it. Everyone needs a Schneider in their life. I’m especially taken by the way he helps Penelope with her anxiety attacks. It’s so sweet.

Schneider helping Pen through her anxiety attacks by not only sending her cute pics of dogs in wigs but he then comes to their apartment with a hug and wipes. It is the cutest thing in the world.
