So I was tagged for this by everyday-deeds! Very apt and unique questions, so thank you dear! Also, apologies for the delay in doing this--I completely forgot about it!

1. What is your zodiac sign?
I was born on July 23rd, and therefore I am right on the threshold between Leo and Cancer, but I consider myself a Leo.
2. Have you ever read a book because of obligations (work, school, etc.) that you liked? If so, what was the book?
Well, I'm an English Major, so I've read a lot of novels for classes.  Most of them though, I haven't really enjoyed for two reasons: 1) It's difficult for me to enjoy a book if I'm reading it because I have to. It makes it feel like work, rather than a hobby. If I'm reading it on my own time, however, there's a much greater possibility that I'll like it more.  And 2) Most of the novels assigned to me for class have been your typical fiction novels--which are great, sure, and I have a certain amount of appreciation for them--but I've always been more partial to sci-fi, suspense, and action stories.Â
Luckily for me, I was able to take a couple of classes outside of the norm--one devoted to sci-fi novels, the other devoted to apocalyptic stories, and I absolutely adored them, because I didn't fall in love with reading until I was in high school, so all of these novels--while well known to some other students in my classes--were a new experience for me. One of which was Ender's Game. Other books I've enjoyed from these classes have been Children of Men, Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse, and World War Z (which I'd heard about, but never read).
3. What is your favorite story from mythology of any kind?
I took two Greek mythology courses in my first year, but what was a while ago, and I don't remember much, but the one that's stuck with me is the story of Prometheus. Honestly, I just love Prometheus as a character. I feel like he's the most down-to-earth (ha!) when it comes to Greek gods. Like he'd be the one to crash a mortal party and then end up the guest of honour, buying everyone drinks and giving high-fives. He's like the mortals' best buddy, going out of his way to annoy his snooty, stuck-up kin while giving mortals a friendly jab and going, "Heh, watch me trick Zeus into letting you guys have the best part of the meat."Â
4. Whatâs the last song you left on repeat?
Hmmm. I don't remember, but if I had to guess, it was probably Twenty One Pilots' "Guns for Hands", "Holding on to You", or Lindsey Stirling's song, "Mirror Haus".
All of which come highly recommended from me. Twenty One Pilots writes absolutely beautiful poetry-based lyrics, and Lindsey Stirling is a fabulous composer.
5. If you could get an all-expenses paid trip to meet the creator of your choice (alive or dead), who would you go see?
Ted Dekker. He is, and has always been my favourite author, and I would love to ask him questions about his beautifully-written, painfully in-depth explorations of evil. I'd also like to ask his advice on writing a great villain, because his are wonderfully complicated with such complex motivations and history, and mine just pale in comparison.
6. Whatâs one skill you wish you had learned while you were younger?
How to dance. I'm a terrible dancer, lol.
If by that you mean, "Are you crafty?" then yes. I'm very crafty. Also hefty amounts of cunning. But if you're asking, "Do I do arts and crafts?" then no. Not really. Too much work. :P
8. What are some traits your favorite characters have in common?
I often fall in love with the quiet characters. The ones that have a dark past, but have overcome it and allowed it to make them stronger. The ones that come off as rough at first, but soften up the more you get to know them. I also have a large fondness for dads... which is ironic considering how often I kill them off in my writing.Â
In my in-progress fantasy novel, for example, my favourite OC Darrion fits into the quiet, tough archetype that I specified above, while her dad and her relationship with him plays a very large part in her past, in her story, and in the story as a whole.
9. Whatâs the closest book to you right now?
That would be my entire bookshelf. So I'll just pick one of my fav's. Ted Dekker's best-seller, "Thr3e".Â
10. Have you ever met anyone famous? How was the experience?
I've met a few really great bands at various concerts and festivals. I even met my fav band, Red, but unfortunately, they couldn't talk at length as it was just a general signing and the line was long. But they are super down-to-earth and friendly, and it was an overall good experience, and I'd definitely see them again.
11. If you had access to any of the most famous works of art in the world, which five would you pick to include in your dream home?
Oh geez, I haven't the faintest. I'm not much of an art buff, lol. I mostly appreciate photography though, in all forms, and I'd probably devote a lot (if not all) the wall space in my home to photography--famous or not.
My questions are the following:Â

7.  What's your favourite dÊcor item in your room right now?
8. Â There are a lot of TV shows premiering around this time of year--whether it's a new series altogether, or just returning for a new season. What's one that you're excited for?
9. Â Do you reread books in your collection, or just read them once and move on?
