Been depressed? On and off all through the last couple of weeks.  It seems like it’s probably a sleep deprivation thing, so I’m working on that.  :P

Gotten drunk and thrown up? nope~ I hate the taste of alcohol, so I never drink it.  Not even mixed drinks.  I have very sensitive taste buds.

Laughed until you cried? I am very prone to this.  So definitely yes.

When was the last time you saw your mother? This morning- I stopped by to give her her mother’s day gift.  I couldn’t stay because I’m sick.  :(

One thing you would change about your life? I can’t really think of anything.  I’m happy with how things have worked out so far.  :)

Something that gets on your nerves? Recently I’ve found myself annoyed by the sound of motorcycles.  They’re so LOUD and then they set my yappy dogs off.

What was the last show you watched? Fullmetal Alchemist :)

What was the last book you read? Well, the last one that I finished was Soul Music by Terry Pratchett.

What was the last thing you ate? A burger.  And it was the best burger ever.  My friends and I made it- the burger was homemade with copious amounts of teriyaki sauce mixed in, and it was topped with provolone cheese, grilled pineapple, sauteed onions, bacon, and more teriyaki sauce.  It was definitely our greatest creation.  :)

If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be? Other than home, which is my favorite place to be (and where I am right now), I’d say the mountain villages in Taiwan.  I’ve never been to a more beautiful place, and I’d go back to revisit in a heartbeat.  I’m even willing to put up with the monster bugs and spiders.

If you could pick a decade to travel back in time, what would it be? eh.  I’m happy with where I am for the most part.  Could be classier.

If you won the lottery and millions in cash, what would be the first thing you would do? Pay off my house, and give some to my parents and some to the orphanage “China Little Flower.”  I guess for myself I’d put some towards home decor, so that I can finally achieve that elven/forest theme that I’m working towards.  :)

Which fictional character would you like to hang out with for a day? Raine Sage, so we could nerd out about archaeology together.  :P

What was the last fandom you joined? The most I participate in fandoms is the odd fanart and the reblogging of related posts with such eloquent tags as “hahaha” and “!!!”.  But as far as that goes, I guess it would have to be Fullmetal Alchemist?  I came late to the party.

It took me, what? Two or three hours before I calmed down enough to articulate myself enough for that farewell rant. I was speechless. Just speechless. The whole time the episode was unfurling, I was like, “Oh, blah, blah, Abbie sacrificed herself a fucking third time in a row so how are you going to fix it by the end of the episode? …wait…wait, what? No. No, there’s got to be something else I’m not seeing. No. No way. No fucking way. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?” and it just escalated from there until the end and I called my mother and ranted for twenty straight minutes. Most of it involved me going, “I can’t. I just have no words. What can you even say to that shit?” and her agreeing that it was the worst thing ever put to television.

How dare they throw Abbie under the bus like that. If Nicole really wanted to leave, then you should have treated her character with the respect she not only demanded but deserved a thousand times over. If they really did have to let go of Abbie, then they should have gone down together. Crane should have taken her hand and let Pandora’s box take both their souls. That would have been more believable than Crane just standing there and letting her open the box, and it’s the same with Jenny. Both of them just fucking stood there and did nothing and it pissed me the hell off because it was so out of character. Crane would have grabbed Abbie around the waist to stop her because he loves that woman and there is no way he’d let her die for him again, not when he almost lost it when she was in the Catacombs for a month.

Oh, you poor dear. I knew it would hit you as hard as it hit me. The only consolation is that at least you didn’t see it live like I did. My mom just warned me that it was beyond fuckery when I came home from work and then I saw it and it was the final “fuck you” to the fans after all that we’ve been through. It proved that those are some of the worst, most vindictive writers on the planet and I hope they all suffer in their careers for putting that garbage out on the airwaves. Believe me, I’m beyond furious. There is just nothing you can possibly say to properly express what a complete betrayal the finale was. I can only assume they got a message that they were going to be canceled so they decided to screw us on the way out.

I mean, my father only watched the show because Mom watched it, and Mom only watched it because I watched it and I only watched it to support an intelligent, three dimensional black female protagonist in a fantasy setting, and even my father was angry about the finale and the fact that they wouldn’t let Crane and Abbie kiss on their final appearance together ever. My Dad doesn’t ship anything ever, and even he was like, “No, that was crap. They should have had him tell her he loved her.” So yeah. You got a grown-ass fifty year old highly educated businessman and scholar from Philly who is totally removed from fiction to get pissed off about your finale. You done fucked up, Sleepy Hollow writers.

Yeah, there’s a LOT less eye-roll frustrating moments than season two. I can say that in full confidence. We still have scenes that are super illogical and trust me when I say you’ll get tired of seeing Betsy Ross’ Mary Sue crusty ass over and over (seriously, it’s like that scene in Mean Girls, “Stop trying to make “fetch” happen! It’s not going to happen!” That is the us with the writers shoving Sexy Ross at us precisely every 12 minutes into an episode. She needs to gtfo) and there’s a short subplot with Crane trying to date this chick whose name I haven’t cared to remember (Zoey? Maybe? Ugh. So irrelevant.) but the Witnesses are back in action, Jenny is there to scowl and be awesome and hit people in the face, Joe is a welcome new addition (though he could use a more refined role) and we even get a couple new POC as supporting casts like Abbie’s boss and former boyfriend Daniel and Sophie, who later sort becomes a (sorta) liaison for Team Witness. The villains…eh. Pandora’s okay. The Hidden One is pretty interchangeable with any season-long villain from Supernatural. Better than Katrina and Henry, but still not much. 

Yesssssss. The plot has never mattered with Sleepy Hollow. You know this to be true, my friend. What’s important is their relationship has been put back on track and there’s no mincing evil useless witch wife in the way this time. They’ve significantly improved from season two, and while they do still stumble on occasion, putting the focus back on Ichabbie is definitely a selling point for you to maybe binge-watch season three on Hulu or Fox.com.
