is he serious right now? is he really trying to take her home right now? mm, no. he seems far too sweet to be propositioning her. it seems like he might actually be genuine about the entire thing. georgia knows that she looks rough, she looks like absolute dog-shit by the end of each night. realistically, she knows that she needs to invest in some better makeup; especially brands that can withstand sweat.

her fingers are curled around the straps of her heels, feet now comfortably settled into flats. there's no way she's walking home in six inch heels. georgia might not love herself much but she draws the line there.

they work: maybe because of how well they simply... understand each other. their relationship doesn't really seem to have a label, it hasn't needed one, and maeve hasn't taken personally. she's not the insecure type no matter how much she might struggle with actually understand her own worth to others -  sharp enough to see it, even if she doesn't know how to process it. and maybe she's never quite sure if his hesitation towards their future is due to his own fears, or the fact some part of him must know he deserves better than she can be. 

“Order for Raymond.”

Jacky called a bit quieter in the cafe as he sat out the order placed by the man who’d come in just minutes before. It had been storming today, so Jacky hadn’t expected much business in the cafe. Normally he wouldn’t have minded a slower day - it gave him time to get everything cleaned up ahead of time and get ready to close - but today he had been a little extra bored.

When the customer by the name of Raymond came in, Jacky was a bit relieved. As he took Raymond’s order and got it prepared for him, though, something felt off. Jacky usually tried to use his werewolf senses as little as possible while he was working - only a few of his coworkers knew he was a werewolf - but this time he couldn’t help but use his senses to pick up on a very strong emotion.

Sadness. Pain. Guilt…

movement almost steals a sharp little noise,   the surprise of suddenly being moved,  tugged around corner too quickly to entirely process it.    ( it's not like it takes much effort to move her,  slender form unimposing.  )   it's only when back is to wall  &&   she's given a chance to recognise who has pulled her aside that heart slows and eyebrows rise.   hand as such is gentle,  tugging @dwarfstaralloy's hand from lips in promise that words will come out as no more than a whisper. ❝ guess you changed your mind about if my sources were worth trusting. ❞

it's not fair to tease:  not when she knows he has no reason to be here other than having her back.  

The vampire who’s managed to make it outside St. Patrick’s gates is ancient. Looks like she could have booked a ticket on the damn Titanic, and the post-modern world now surrounding her --- with it’s lights, it’s cars, the distant wail of a siren. Clearly, she’s disoriented by it. Which is good for Faith because she’s over that fence and on the vampire like white on rice --- a vampire who was shambling up behind good-looking guy on a deserted street corner. He’s familiar, she knows him but it’s not until she’s got the vampire in a headlock that she realizes who it is, “Whoa, hey! Long time, Palmer.” Very long. A couple of years and a wedding ring --- that long, “The hell you doin’ playing vamp bait in Manhattan?”
