Greenfield – Fabric arts, fabric as art and clothing in service of art – these are the themes represented in THREADS: A Unique Fashion Show scheduled for Thursday, August 23, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the Pushkin Gallery in downtown Greenfield.
The show will feature wearable art from the DVAA’s current exhibition FABRICATED: Fabulous Functional & Whimsical Fiber Art, which opens Thursday, August 2, and runs through September 16 at Green Trees Gallery at 105 Main St., Northfield. Costumes from Silverthorne Theater’s five seasons of shows will be modeled as will selections of period clothing donated to or acquired by Silverthorne’s costume designer, Reba-Jean Shaw-Pichette.

Tickets for the event are available at the DVAA Gallery which is open Friday – Sunday, 12-4 pm. They may be purchased online at Eventbrite.com or by calling 413-768-7514. DVAA members and Silverthorne patrons $10; general public $15. Proceeds benefit the Deerfield Valley Art Association and Silverthorne Theater Company.
