Another night vending.

chapter 3

“Hey Jo,” I say as I take Leo in my arms so she can walk in, but he didn’t last long in my arms, because Josephine takes him in hers and walks to the living room, almost ignoring me. 

“Hey, little guy” she kisses his cheek and Leo giggles trying to repeat what she said. 

She puts him on the floor and Leo runs to his toys, then he comes back, takes Jo’s hand because he wanted her to play with him. Jo can’t say no to him so she follows him, and gets down onto the floor. 

“Where’s Flor?” She asks while playing with Leo. 

“She’s upstairs, I guess she’s getting ready or something, but you know we never know with her,” I say as I walk to the stairs “Can you stay with Leo? I’m gonna take the bags down” She nods, so I head upstairs. 

I get my bag down and I ask Jo for the car’s keys, and I go put the bag inside of the car, so when Flor decides to come down we would only have to put her bag inside and go all the way to Jo’s parents' house. 

When I walked back inside the house, Flor was finally walking downstairs and greeting Jo in her way down. She went to put her bag inside the car and then came back inside. 

“Ready?” I ask as I take my keys and I check my handbag to see if I have everything I might need for the trip there. 

The girls nod and I follow them to the car, I take Leo in my arms and I put him in his car seat, I buckle him in. Jo is the one who is going to drive there, and Flor is the one who is going to drive back, I don’t drive mainly because I suck at it, and I prefer to be sitting in the back seat. 

Once it the road, the girls start talking about random things, and Leo quickly falls asleep, because he usually does that when he gets in a car. I don’t have the head to talk about anything like the girls are doing right now, mainly because I can’t take Erik out of my head after having Flor talking about him in the morning. I mean, why on earth does he have to come here when he has like a million of other places to go!? 

I kinda want to get out of the car, take Leo with me and get back home, and stay in until the blonde leaves the country, something I would usually do when I heard he gets closer to Denmark because I’m kinda silly. I sigh and I look out through the window, that sigh catches the attention of Jo and Flor. 

“What’s in your mind?” I hear Jo’s voice and I look at her kinda confused. 

“What?”

“She’s just thinking about Durm, I mean, I told her that he was coming this morning and she has been freaking out ever since, I think she is about to get out of this car and come back home” Flor says, clearly knowing me too well because that’s exactly what I wanted to do. 

I ignore what she says and I try to make an excuse about it, I don’t really like to be in this uncomfortable moment, I could feel them looking at me, even when Jo’s eyes were on the road. 

“I wasn’t thinking about that” I say “I haven’t thought about him in a while” I say quietly not even believing my words “I was just thinking that I don’t want to go back to work and that I also have to look for a new daycare since the one that Leo is going now, is gonna close and I have to have a new one before it does” I say and the girls believe in my shitty excuse and start to talk about another thing. 

I try not to get lost in my thoughts again and I start talking with them, they are talking about this boy who has been behinds Flor back for a while and that now they are kinda dating, but he was also kinda dating someone else, it was kinda difficult all this situation. 

With all the talk, we didn't realise that we were about to arrive at Jo’s parents' beach house, I could even see the ocean now. Leo was still asleep, he even slept through Flor’s incontrollable laugh. 

When Vir parked outside this beautiful house, we started to get the things fown, Jo opened all the windows since the house was kindasmelly after being closed for so long. It was a really big house with a lot of rooms, and it was quite well decorated, plus most of the rooms that were in the second floor had windows that gave you a spectacular view to the beach. 

Talking about the beach, it was a quiet one, there weren’t many people around and it was kinda perfect to have relaxing vacations. 

Having that view from the room I was going to use, was kinda helping a lot to keep Erik out of my mind, I even feel more relaxed now, and we have only been here fr a couple minutes. 

Jo and Flor were downstairs making something to eat since it is late and we haven’t had lunch yet. We are planning on going to the beach once we are done with the food. I had taken the bags up and left them in the rooms we were going to use. 

Leo was still in his chair, but now he was in the living room and was still asleep, I was planning on letting him sleep until I had already eaten and then I was going to wake him up feed him and take him to the beach with us. 

I walk in the kitchen where the girls are still working on the food “Is Alex going after all?” I ask Jo. 

“He told me he would probably come over during the week, he had some things to do,” She says and shrugs, I sit down by the counter “Are you really nervous about Durm, aren’t you?” She says as she turns to look at me after Flor has left the kitchen.

I look at her and I sigh once again. 

“To be honest yes, a little, I’m always nervous when he is near us, I maean, I know it is almost impossible that we are going to end up in the same place at the same time, but “ I shrug. 

“Don’t you think it is time for you lo look for himand tell him that you both have a kid, I mean he kinda have the right to at least know” She says and I get really nervous, because she has never really told me anything lke this before, it was always Flor who insisted that I should tell Erik. 

“I mean, it would be kinda silly to look for him now, it’s been so long, and I don’t think he is going to believe me. So many things have happened, and it wasn’t like we had something serious, and also, if I come back now he is gonn athink that is only because of the money” I sigh and I shake my head “And I don’t what that sort od shit in my life right now, at this point I’m kinda afraid he would want to take Leo away from me” I whisper the last part and I look into her eyes “You see? this is so messed up “ I grab my head in my hands and I sigh “but whatever, let’s eat” I say as Flor walks in and I stand up to help them finish the food. 

We all sit down and I can finish my food before Leo wakes up, when he does I give him some food and then we all get out of the house and sit down on the sand. It wasn’t really hot and it was kind of nice to be outside. I put a lot of sunscreen on Leo’s body because I didn’t want him to get all burned, I dind’t like to see him in pain. 

We were having a good time by the beach, Leo was playing with the sand and making loud noises as he was trying to be a part of out talk. I had totally forgotten about this morning talk and everything until I heard a voice behind my back, a voice that I used to know...

I was gonna upload this on Friday I think or the day before, but my computer kept on deleting the chapter and I was so pissed. But I ended up finally rewriting it, I’m supposed to upload the next one tomorrow.
