2. Why did you choose your url?  Because I was on the spot signing up and couldn’t think of anything A Song of Ice and Fire related which was better.  I liked the whole idea of the assonance between Regret/Ygritte, along with how Jon felt confused regret over his relationship with Ygritte, both regret that he fell-emotionally/gave-in-to-his-lust with her, despite his duty, and regret that he left her behind in fulfilment of his duty.  (Gawd, that sounds pompous when I type it.)

3. What’s your middle name?  It means “from the dark water”.  See if you can find the name by knowing the meaning (there are sites on the inturtubes…)

4. If you could be a fictional/fairytale being, what would you be?  Either a Sidhe or an Einherjar, I guess.  Or maybe one of those dragons that can polymorph.

5. Favourite colour?  Black.

6. Favourite song(s)?   Wow, there are lots, I guess, and no mater which I pick, I’ll end up slighting others, or forgetting them completely in the moment.  Just for the halibut, though here are five, in no particular order

You mean aside from bands and music? 

Middle-earth in the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. I liked the Lord of the Rings movie by Peter Jackson, but not so much the Hobbit.  I felt that there was just not enough material for three pictures.  I could have been cut down to two really great movies, but, you know, $$$$.  Given that, I know exactly how to cinematize (cinemafy?) the Silmarillion.  Chris Tolkien, Peter Jackson: call me!

A Song of Ice and Fire by G.R.R. Martin, though I’m less and less interested in the TV show which sounds like it’s almost a parody

The Sandman graphic novels by Niel Gaiman.  I actually own all the original comics too, including a mint vacuum sealed Sandman #1.  Yay me!  lol

The poetry and visual art of William Blake, especially the mythologically works featuring Albion and the Four Zoas which feature in several works.  My favourite single poem, though is “the Tyger” from Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience.

Why do you enjoy tumblr?  I’ve never liked social media.  I always remember the quote, “Social media is not free.  If you’re not paying for it, then you are the product.”  At this point I’ll quote Aryathenightwolf, who tagged me to this questionnaire, "I also like the fact that it doesn’t force you to give personal information like other social networks.”  I don’t like my information harvested to who knows  what end, let alone have it hacked by any person, company or government that breaches that social media website’s dubious security.  After all, I have some thing to hide, my privacy!
