I get it when people feel duplicate anxiety. I'm new to this fandom and I'm new to writing a canon character. The fandom isn't very welcoming and there are at least 3 already established canons of the same canon I write. Naturally, their little respective groups ignore me. It's something I expected and can deal with. I found 2 people who want to write with me outside of these groups, I'm very thankful for that. But recently it happened that the main established canon duplicate copied my graphic concept. I was careful not to use the color palettes and pictures of the other canons so I won't get hate. Now the "main one" with the biggest clique made new graphics with the same color palette and the same pictures I used and it makes me feel very uncomfortable. Sure, at the end of the day it's just graphics and mine are not professional (most in the fandom commission someone or ask that ONE graphic pro of their clique). So yes, being excluded from the fandom community is one thing but having those people come over to your blog and take "inspiration" from you is another big shitty thing to do and I understand now why people tend to block duplicates.
