Lyonel as an unhinged girl dad who would burn the world for his daughters.
Like Dunk gave him a hoard of children but the boys have always favored Ser Duncan, the parent that has time to indulge them and loves training his little future knights. And Lyonel is just too busy with Lordly duties for all that so naturally it’s Dunk that gets to spend more time with them, the boys and girls both.
Obviously Lyonel loves all his children, but the girls are his pride. They seek him out more, want more of his attention, and they remind him so much of his soft hearted hedge knight that is the focus of his devotion.
So naturally it becomes the norm around Storm’s End to find Lyonel doting on his girls, braiding their hair or reading to them or simply allowing them to follow him around like little ducklings—something his more rambunctious boys are not allowed. It becomes a source of judgment from the other nobles, they don’t understand why Lord Baratheon spends so much time doting on children that won’t even inherit his title nor amount to much beyond brides (sexism of course).
This talk promptly ends when a lesser lord goes missing after speaking ill of the behavior, never to be seen again. Everyone assumes this was Lyonel, the unhinged and overprotective father. No one thinks to expect Ser Duncan, a kept omega allowed his knightly indulgence as a hobby by a strange alpha lord.
But Dunk honors his vows to The Mother, and has a deep loyalty to his family no one could quite understand.
