Dennis, drawing lines with a Sharpie on John's arms, using his moles to make smiley faces. John will show them off with the short sleeves of his scrubs.
John,cooking pastries on his days off so Dennis can have a snack during his shift. Dennis, learning different coffee recipes just to make them for John.
John, going on hikes with Dennis despite not liking them. Dennis, trying every new coffee John recommends, despite only liking his coffee black.
Dennis, hugging John on shift change. John, kissing Dennis's forehead on shift change. They both are exhausted at the end of their shift, and craving their partner's presence.
On their day off, they have dates. One of their favorite: making lego flowers for each others. That way, they don't have to worry about watering it, it'll never wilt, and they have the warm feeling you get when your loved one took time to make something for you.
(The flowers are a bit weird, as they mismatched some pieces. They had the brilliant idea of opening every bag, resulting in both their legos to mix together. Dennis says it makes them prettier, John agrees.)
John is offended every time Dennis orders black coffee in front of him, Dennis takes a sip of John's coffee and jokes about him getting diabetes.
John is the one saying he's not hungry for dessert but steals Dennis's at restaurants. Dennis doesn't mind, he's the kind who loves sharing his food.
Dennis loves olives, John hates them. John loves sweets, Dennis prefers salty snacks. Dennis loves going outside, John prefers staying inside. Dennis loves hiking, John loves reading.
They're perfect for each other.
