Despite the difference in age and career points something seemed to click with them, I liked how Joy was about Samira’s anxiety, feel like they would balance each other out well.

Joy and Samira who hang out parallel play style. They stick a playlist on, Samira does crosswords, Joy plays candy crush. They share snacks.

Samira can let herself be angry or frustrated with Joy cause she knows Joy won't tell her to calm down and will probably agree it sucks.

Joy who likes that she can talk to Samira about her grandmother without getting awkward pitying looks. Samira talks about her dad.

Bonding over having clear life plans that don't quite work out how they imagine.

Samira admires Joy's ability to set boundries and hold firm to them, it makes her realise she should try it more often.

They get into going to escape rooms and are pretty good at it. They joke the Pitt is the world’s worst escape room.

Both shout at movies when there’s inaccuracies, inconsistencies and plot holes. “That’s not how that science works!” “None of this would happen if these people communicated!!”

Reluctant participants in karaoke but they stick together and slay singing teenage dirt bag.
